Seadragon(seajax) open specific filterbox after search - openseadragon

In my website i use the seajax pivot viewer to view a large amount of images. So to not search endlessly long for the picture i need i usually use the search box in the view to filter on a specific property of my collection. Now when i press enter it works perfectly and it filters my collection. I could however be possible that multiple properties have the same value so to further filter my search i use the filters beneath the search box. This also works fine.
Now for my question: Is it possible to open such a filterbox after i press enter, so that the specific values for a certain property are shown?
I already took a look at it and i belief that i need to do it in the pivot viewer js, however i cannot find the right way to do it. I could not find anything on stackoverflow about it.

#SetViewInfo with Sorted Columns

Can someone advise whether #SetViewInfo can be used with click to sort columnns.
When a view is filtered using #SetViewInfo it removes the column sorting options, thus removing the functionality of the view. Even when resetting to all records the column sorting option is not available, however I have overcome this by opening a second view then opening the original view, messy but it works. I am using View Action Buttons. (Not sure how to store the value in a Check Box Action).
Filtering
#SetViewInfo([SetViewFilter]; "userinitials"; "$80"; 1)
Resetting.
#SetViewInfo([SetViewFilter];"";"$80";1);
#SetTargetFrame("frame");
#Command([OpenView]; "DummyView"); //Needed to get the click to sort back

Also if the view is already sorted on another column, ie not in a categorised state no records are found. I don't want to have to remove the sorting options on my views. The help implies you don't need to have the view categorised. But I cannot get it to work if I don't, ie if I use 0 on an uncategorised view nothing happens.

isCategory - Number. Boolean value. Required in a Standard Outline view; not for use in Calendar views. 1 indicates that the column in the columnName value is a category. 0 indicates that it is not.
Is the #SetViewInfo limited as I have found or am I missing something?

Yes, #SetViewInfo has limitations. As far as I know, you cannot keep the sorting when you use SetViewFilter. I also believe you need to have the view categorized, at least in older versions of Notes this was the case, if I remember correctly.
Limitations like this is why I personally don't use #SetViewInfo very often (if at all), I try to use other ways to display filtered documents.
One way I have handled it in the past is to use a special form with a rich text field, and then I build a list of filtered documents (e.g. through a search) and render the list of documents in the rich text item.

Multi Select List Box Document Property with Search bar enabled

I am working on Multi Select List Box document property with search field.
It works fine when I give any keyword like 'An' it gives me Andorra, Angola, Anguilla etc. I can multi-select all these 3 records and make my underlying data table filtered.
Now the challenge is, if I search for the records that starts with Z in the search bar and click Enter then the above selection is deselected/disappeared (meaning the last search elements alone will be available).
Any ideas on how to make the current selection and newly searched elements available ?
Any inputs and suggestions would be much helpful.

I think the filtering you are doing is based on the document property attached to this multi select list box.
You can make another property and attach this value to that doc property, whenever somebody changes this value run an IronPython to append to that doc property.
Give a reset button to clear this value when required

Multiple Search URLS and Google Analytics

I'm wondering if anyone has any insight for capturing statistics for an embedded search box and button. We have several website search urls we have programmed into a drop-down menu where a user selects which index they want to search.
Now, I'm needing to find out the number of searches that took place from our website.
I thought an easy way to determine the number of searches would be to capture the number of clicks on the button. But I haven't been able to figure out if there is another way to capture that for the different search urls.
Another layer of complicity is, I'm using Drupal's customized search module for creating the search drop-down, box, and button.
Does anyone have any insight they could provide or resources I could check out?

sharepoint 2010 dataformwebpart drop down list filter

I have two connected DataFormWebparts on a site page, with one web part filtering the data in the other, and this works fine as long as the design style allows the options to be clicked on i.e. the information is laid out in text format.
However If I change the style to be a drop down list then the filtering no longer works. I'm assuming this is because there is no longer a hyperlink to trigger off the event, but is there a way to make it work in this format?
jquery to the rescue. hide the links. show the dropdown and with jquery or javascript, trigger the link click on dropdown index change. try to google out. hope these hints help

form view in excel for a record

I have a sheet in excel that is basically like a database (yes it has to be in excel unfortunately) and I want to design a simple form to display the records (the different column values in the rows). Usually MS is good with making widgets to do this but I cant seem to figure out how to write it in VBA (easily)
Basically I have a list of Names and ID#'s then some other columns that need to be filled in (address, order # etc) but I'd like the user to do this via a form rather than typing in excel. I created a small form in VBA, but now I cant link the columns to the textboxes in the form.
Anyone know of any code I can plug and play to do this.
Specifically I am using a ComboBox (for the list of names) and then a for loop searching through it to find the selection and updating data. But its a real pain.
plus I cant figure out how to put in a 'Next' button, which is really annoying me. Does anyone know how to change the comboBox value to the next row, if it is linked via RowSource
Have you considered the Form feature? You can find under the commands you can add to your QuickAccess toolbar.
