Where is sitemap.txt.jsp in AEM? - search

I'm trying to integrate Search and Promote with AEM. The docs say to generate a sitemap by copying the following file "/libs/foundation/components/primary/cq/Page/sitemap.txt.jsp".
This doesn't exist for me. I'm using 6.2.
Is "/libs/foundation/components/sitemap/sitemap.jsp" what I should be looking for?

Gitlab cross-reference project

I am trying to find the best way to document my project in Gitlab. And I found two different alternatives:
Markdown in the actual repository (my-repo.git)
Wiki using markdown (my-repo/wiki.git)
Note that the suffix .git indicates that these are two different git repositories.
I like the approach to simply modify the Wiki using markdown from the webpage (for everyones simplicity), but I am missing how to link between them or any other project in Gitlab.
In the documentation is provided some information to link (issues, commits, etc...) to other projects but not link files like the README.md and other documentation.
Is there such functionality?
I also don't know if I am 100% getting your question, but Gitlab does support special syntax for referencing other projects/commits/etc..
You can reference other project like so,
namespace/project>
It doesn't support referencing files in other projects (as far as I can tell), but you can reference files in the same project:
[README](doc/README.md)
And to specify a line number:
[README](doc/README.md#L13)
I don't know if I get your point to 100%.
Linking to other "files" is like links to any URL / URI in markdown. Use the "well-known" syntax [LinkName](LinkTarget).
A Link inside the same project
[Link to file, relative path](./README.md)
This should work in WIKIs and Project Markdown-files.
[Link to a file from other project](https://gitlab.com/{{USER or COMPANY}}/{{PROJECT}}/-/blob/master/{{FOLDER}}/README.md)
You can also use the reference syntax for links [LinkName][LinkReference] and then later in your file [LinkReference]: https://gitlab.com/foobar/123 when you want to reuse your links or collect them at the end of your file.

Retrieve contents of a ZIP file on SharePoint without downloading it

I have written a bit of automated code that checks a SharePoint site and looks for a ZIP file (lets call it doc.zip). If doc.zip is found, it downloads it, and then checks for a file (say target.docx). doc.zip is about 300MB, and so I want to only download where necessary.
What I would like to know is that given SharePoint has some ZIP search capability, is it possible to write code using CSOM (c#) to find doc.zip, and then run some code to retrieve the contents of doc.zip without downloading it.
Just to re-iterate, I am comfortable with searching for files in a folder on SP, downloading the file, and unpacking zip entries. What I need is to retrieve a ZIP files content on SP without downloading it.
E.g. is there a SP command:
cxt.Load(SomeZipFileQuery);
cxt.ExecuteQuery();
Thanks in advance.
This capability is not available. I do like the idea. Having the ability to "parse" zip files on the server side and then download the relevant bits would be ideal. Perhaps raise this on uservoice to see if others also find this us https://sharepoint.uservoice.com
Ok, I have proven yet again that stubbornness will prevail.
I have figured out that if I use the /_api/search?query='myfile.zip' web REST API to search for my file, this search will also match ZIP files that contain the file I need. And it works perfectly.
Of course there is added (pain) of parsing an XML response, but it works very nicely for my code example.
At least if someone is looking for this solution here it is. I wont bore anyone with code, as the /_api/search has probably been done to death already on other threads.

Lucene 4.2.0 index pdf

I am using example source code from the Lucene 4.2.0 demo API:
http://lucene.apache.org/core/4_2_0/demo/overview-summary.html
I run IndexFiles.java to create an index from a directory of rtf, pdf, doc, and docx files. I then run SearcFiles.java and notice that I encounter several instances where my searches fail i.e. it does not return a document that contains the word I searched for.
I suspect it has to do with Lucene 4.2.0 not being able to correctly index non .txt files without additional customization.
Question: Can the IndexFiles.java source code (Lucene 4.2.0) correctly index pdf, doc, docx files as it is written in the provided link? Does anyone have examples or references on how to code that functionality?
Thank You
No, it can't. IndexFiles is a demo, an example for you to learn from, but not really designed for production use. If you take a look at the code, you'll see it just uses a FileInputStream (wrapped with an InputStreamReader, wrapped with a BufferedReader). Generally, Lucene won't handle how to parse different file formats (except it's own index files, of course). How to parse a file to provide meaningful content to Lucene is up to you to define.
Apache Tika might be a good place to look for this functionality. Here is a simple example using Tika with Lucene.
You might also consider using Solr.

How to make downloadable File-type field in transformation -Kentico

Resently started to work with kentico 6.0 .
I have build custom document type with field of "File" type, where administartor can upload file.
Now i'm trying to build a transformation from where site users will be able to download this file:
(like zipped source code of projects in codeproject)
Is where a easy way to do it in kentico?
thanks
You likely need to look into the built-in Transformation methods available to you (found at /CMSHelp/index.html?newedit_transformation_methods.htm of your Kentico instance).
In this case, I think what you want is GetFileUrl(object attachmentGuidColumn)
You'd do something like <a href='<%#GetFileUrl("NameOfTheDataField")#>'>File</a>
