I am writing a programme to visualize some data which are stored in a few arraylists.
I'm using Jfree Line char but the problem is I have to make an arraylist in the chart class and set an array list from use interface to the one in chart class using setter. like
LineChartDemo linechartdemo1 = new LineChartDemo("All Sensors");
linechartdemo1.setList(list.getsList());
linechartdemo1.setTimelist(list.getTime());
linechartdemo1.create();
linechartdemo1.pack();
RefineryUtilities.centerFrameOnScreen(linechartdemo1);
linechartdemo1.setVisible(true);
So my question is that how can I make an instance of my arraylist class and use it in chart class(The normal way objects work) I tried making a new object and use getters like
Datalist list = new DataList();
list.getMaxvalue();
But it's not working and this is how I'm using my list in other classes. This time it doesn't work in my chart class and it requires me to make an arraylist in chart class and set an arralist from user interface class.
Can Somebody please help?
How can I make and instance of my ArrayList class like above and use it in chart class and why is it not working in JfreeChart?
Thanks

I am supposed to write a class which will allow the user of the script to define what attributes will it's objects have when initializing them by giving it an array of strings like this.
data = Database(tables=['distance', 'speed'])
Then it should be possible to call the class's methods like
data.distance.insert({1: 25, 2: 55})
data.speed.mean()
etc.
I have tried using setattr() this way
data = Database()
tables=['distance', 'speed']
for item in tables:
setattr(data, item, item)
which works, but isn't exactly what it should be.
Any ideas how to do it directly inside the class?
I want to generate a custom named constructor in Dart.
I have many dto class to implement and each should provide a named constructor like: ClassName.fromMap().
For example for this class:
class Student {
final String name;
final int age;
}
The generated constructor should be:
Student.fromMap(Map<String, dynamic> map) :
name = map['name'],
age = map['age'];
How can I retrieve the list of the field of my current class as strings? Is that even possibile?
Of course I can have a variable number of fields.
My template looks like:
$CLASS$.fromMap(Map<String, dynamic> map) :
$INITIALIZATION_LIST$
binding $CLASS$ to dartClassName().
Now I'd like to bind $INITIALIZATION_LIST$ to something like:
getClassFieldList().forEach((fieldName) => "$fieldName = map['$fieldName']")
Can I achieve something like that?
There is no way to retrieve a list of Dart class fields using predefined live template functions. You can try developing your own template macro for this. See https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206201699-create-a-new-expression-for-a-live-template-for-actionscript for some hints.
Existing live template functions implementations can be found at https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community/tree/master/platform/lang-impl/src/com/intellij/codeInsight/template/macro.
You can also try using Structural Search and Replace instead of live template
I am trying to add all elements of an object into ArrayList. elements of the object are of different type.
e.g. object Employee having attributes like emp_id,name,address,DOB.
I want to store each attribute as an object in an ArrayList. Like,
ArrayList[1] = Employee.emp_id
ArrayList[2] = Employee.name
ArrayList[3] = Employee.address
I want to do it dynamically. Like, in future more attributes are added in this object, without doing a manual work. Is there a way to create an array List?
ArrayList must be of the same type. You can have an ArrayList of type in which you can do what you are doing, since all objects in Java extend Object. If you are trying to store different Object types in an arraylist, however, this is not possible.
You may know that first part, just was a little unclear in your post.
Here's how to do it with objects using reflection:
//make sure you import java.lang.reflect.*
public void addMyFields(Employee e){
ArrayList<Object> list = new ArrayList();
for (Field field : emp.getClass().getDeclaredFields())
{
field.setAccessible(true);
list.add(field.get(emp);
}
}
I need to find all Html controls which have a given css class.
var htmlControl = new HtmlControl(document);
htmlControl.SearchProperties[HtmlControl.PropertyNames.Class] = #class;
var uiTestControlCollection = htmlControl.FindMatchingControls();
Using the class name works when there is just one css class on the control. If I have more than one css classes applied on the element, can I search for the element by specifying just one css class and not all of them?
Thanks
You can perform a partial match, like so:
htmlControl.SearchProperties.Add(HtmlControl.PropertyNames.Class, #class, PropertyExpressionOperator.Contains);
var uiTestControlCollection = htmlControl.FindMatchingControls();
The main draw back of this is that it is just a simple string compare. To illustrate, imagine you have two controls A and B. A has class "Test" and B has classes "testdiv topnav". Now if you perform a search for "test", both controls A and B will be selected.
To match a class exactly, you can provide a close as match as possible using the above method and write a helper function to:
Loop through the collection
Get the class of each control
Split the class string on the spaces
Loop through this array and test each for an exact match
Keep the elements where a class matches exactly
Note: This is clearly non-optimal - I'm all ears if someone has a better solution.

I have just started utilizing ArrayLists in some C# code and am having some problems when sorting.
First I define create an ArrayList object under my class:
ArrayList cutList = new ArrayList;
Then I set and sort the array list to find the minimum:
cutList.Add("2200","1800","1200","1");
int minList = (int)GetMinValue(cutList);
Using the function:
public static object GetMinValue(ArrayList arrList)
{
ArrayList sortArrayList = arrList;
sortArrayList.Sort();
return sortArrayList[0];
}
Later I try to find the index cutList[2] and I find "1200" because the function also sorted cutList. I have also had the same problem in the past, when I set a variable to an Application settings and then the Applications setting changes when I modify the variable. How to I correctly fix these problems. I have been learning C# on my own and am guilty of skipping around a little bit. Is there a lesson on Objects that I am missing?
The issue in your code is that ArrayList sortArrayList = arrList; does not copy arrList to sortArrayList: the assignment merely creates a new alias for the existing object. To make your code work, use
ArrayList sortArrayList = (ArrayList)arrList.Clone();
I must add that this is probably the most inefficient way of looking up the min element in a list, and also a rather archaic container. I would prefer using List<string> instead of ArrayList, and using LINQ's Min() function to get the minimum element.
