How do I load a Qt project from Linux in Windows - linux

I think my question is the opposite of: How can I import a Windows project to Ubuntu on Qt?
My team has created a Qt project (*.creator, *.files, etc. files) that they use from Linux. I'm running Windows, and have the Qt Creator for Windows installed. I also have a drive (Z:) mapped to the Linux drive with the source and project files.
When they open the .creator file (as a project), all the files show up in their Qt Creator running on Linux. When I open that file (as a project) in Qt Creator for Windows, I only see 4 files (*.creator, *.config, *.files, *.includes), and I don't see the source files.
The *.files file has lines that look like:
/home/user/path/file.cpp
And my drive mapping does map this file as Z:/home/user/path/file.cpp (and I'm opening the *.creator file from Z:).
I only need to view and edit the files - I don't need to build in Windows. Is there a way I can use the existing Linux project files to load the project in Windows? If not, what changes do I need to make?
Thank you.

Usually u open the *.pro file with Qt Creator and if your paths in the pro file are relative and not absolute to that pro file, every file should be loaded into your project view.

Copy emulators from other PC

I would like to copy Android emulators from one PC to another in order not to download them from Internet. I have AWD folder copied to new PC. How to tell new Android Studio to use these emulators? How to set path to them in Android Studio?
Edit:
After I copied emulators from other PC I got Missing system image error:
AFAIK, you don't need to set the Path. Android Studio automatically picks if you copy your <YOUR_EMULATOR_NAME>.avd and <YOUR_EMULATOR_NAME>.ini files into your ~/.android/avd folder.
<YOUR_EMULATOR_NAME>.avd is directory and it contains .img files and other files and <YOUR_EMULATOR_NAME>.ini is a text file and it contains path(is an absolute path to your .avd), path.rel (is a relative path to your .avd) and target.
I tried just now and it worked for me.
Update:
You need to copy system images and vendor images from your Android Library path mentioned below.
disk.systemPartition.initPath = /Users/user/Library/Android/sdk/system-images/android-26/google_apis/x86//system.img
disk.vendorPartition.initPath = /Users/user/Library/Android/sdk/system-images/android-26/google_apis/x86//vendor.img
Missing system image hints for, that you have to install these system images with the SDK manager. Those "download" buttons should do the job - if not, then use the SDK manager to install the ones it demands.
The kernel.path and the disk.systemPartition.initPath in the AVD's hardware-qemu.ini need to be adjusted to the Android SDK's location, so that it will be able to boot them (else it will complain, just alike the sceenshot shows). I don't have any disk.vendorPartition.initPath here, so this probably isn't required. if any hardware-qemu.ini has such a value, also adjust this one.

How to view / open .sof files in linux?

I am trying to open *.sof file by using nedit / gedit , but it couldn't open. It seems that this file is binary file OR encrypted file.
Is there a way to view/open such kind of files in linux ?
The sof file extension is associated with Quartus II, a development environment for Microsoft Windows operating system used to develop apps for FPGAs, SoCs, and CPLDs.
SOF file stands for Altera SRAM Object File that contains the data for configuring all SRAM-based Altera devices supported by the Quartus II software, using the Programmer.
So, .sof file is native to windows World. Wondering how you got that on your Linux System. Coming to your Question I think -
If it is really a .sof file, you can open it on some Windows Machine in Notepad or Wordpad.
It may be the case that file extension is misspelled. In that case you can check for other file extensions such as .cof or .spf or .sod

Which folders to upload to code repository if uploading from Windows but code was made on Mac OS X?

The source code was made on Mac OS X and when I open it on Windows or Linux, I see 2 folders.
Now, shall I upload both from Windows/Linux or I can omit _MACOSX folder?
These 2 folders are not visible on Mac OS X and I would not like to litter SVN nor to make problems to MAC OS X users.
Surely you've compressed folder on the Mac, and when you unzipped in windows appear to you.
It is created by Apple so spotlight can search the directory zip easy and faster.
To avoid this, there is an excellent application called YemuZip, which lets you create compressed files without added undesirable. Just drag the files to the window we want zipear and remember to select PC Compatible in the window that appears.

Transferring wp8 project to different computer

My old computer broke down and I have my project folders zipped and backed up in the cloud. I have downloaded them to the new computer and placed them in the 'Projects' folder in VS 2012 for WP. I am able to open the solution file but building the app is throwing read errors and is showing me the path on the old broken computer. Please advice on the right method on transferring a windows phone project across computers.
Open up your .csproj files in Notepad and manually fix any paths you find. You may also need to do this in your .sln file.
