OpenAM 12 installation on Windows Server 2012 hangs - openam

During installation of OpenAM 12 running on Apache Tomcat 8, Java 8, Windows Server 2012, it hangs on non-typical for this kind of cases step like "Creating OpenAM suffixImport task".
Could that be permissions issue?

Are you trying to install using http://localhost in the browser? That can cause issues. OpenAM wants a real FQDN.

Redeployment does not change the problem.
Multiple restarts solve the problem but without understanding why.
The workaround is to manually copy the directory from /home to /usr, but next update will remove it.
Someone has an idea to solve the problem ?
Apologies for the inconvenience with this issue and delayed response here.
Users using the auto-update version of Tomcat on Linux that deploy multiple applications in the webapps directory may see their apps return 404.
You may manually change the version to respective working version:
Tomcat 8.5: 8.5.72
Tomcat 9.0: 9.0.54
Tomcat 10.0: 10.0.12

How to install ERPNext on RHEL 8

I am trying to install ERPNext on RHEL 8. I have no experience with ERPNext installation and RHEL 8 so this is a learning process for me.
Below is where I'm having trouble with the installation. Since this is just for me to learn how to install before I implement it on the production/development server, I decide to use "localhost" as I do not own any domain.
[erp#localhost frappe-bench]$ bench new-site localhost
MySQL root password:
For key character_set_server. Expected value utf8mb4, found value latin1
For key collation_server. Expected value utf8mb4_unicode_ci, found value latin1_swedish_ci

Creation of your site - localhost failed because MariaDB is not properly
configured. If using version 10.2.x or earlier, make sure you use the
the Barracuda storage engine.
Please verify the settings above in MariaDB's my.cnf. Restart MariaDB. And
then run `bench new-site localhost` again.

Database settings do not match expected values; stopping database setup.
The guide that I'm following is here
I am a beginner with server deployment, RHEL and related topics.

I managed to complete the installation. All I need to do was adding a few lines to the my.cnf file. Then, everything work just fine!

I have done guacamole-1.3.0 version native installation in my linux centOs machine.
I need to do LDAP guacamole integration but I am facing some difficulty in doing the configuration.
I have created /etc/guacamole/extension and added ldap-auth 1.3.0 jar inside /etc/guacamole/extensions. Used Tomcat and that is running in the server. Started guacd service. Installation is done but ldap integration facing difficulty.
Need help on how to check and login using ldap auth.
Kindly help me with the steps for ldap guacamole integration for version-1.3.0
Here the guacamole LDAP Properties vim /etc/guacamole/guacamole.properties

ldap-hostname: stackoverflow.local

ldap-user-base-dn: dc=stackoverflow,dc=local
ldap-search-bind-dn:cn=ldap1,CN=Users,dc=stackoverflow,dc=local
ldap-search-bind-password: XXXXXXXXXXX (Password for ldap1 user)
ldap-username-attribute: sAMAccountName
ldap-user-search-filter:(objectClass=user)(!(objectCategory=computer))
ldap-max-search-results:4000
mysql-auto-create-accounts: true
ldap-follow-referrals:true
Then restart tomcat gucad and mysql service
systemctl restart tomcat mysqld guacd

Running Wildfly 10.1.0 with limited user permissions

I have a wildfly 10 install running on CentOS Linux 7.3.1611 with kernel3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64.
Initially when I started running wildfly I was doing so as root in a domain configuration. I have decided to change this practice and configure it as a service. After configuring it as a service, and letting it run for a while I decided to create a user "wildfly", and make the appropriate changes to the systemd service config and directory permissions. Wildfly starts up properly and the application runs fine.
My issue starts when I try and create another server instance from the management console. The console records the server but its never able to start. After some checking I found wildfly is unable to create server directories. This occurs even when having permissions to do so.
The only error I get is this one from /var/log/audit/audit.log;
type=ANOM_ABEND msg=audit(1507241312.223:19650): auid=4294967295 uid=994 gid=994 ses=4294967295 subj=system_u:system_r:unconfined_service_t:s0 pid=8570 comm="java" reason="memory violation" sig=6
I have disabled SELinux, and checked the ACL's on all files in the directory structure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Access Remote Glassfish4 Server from Eclipse Luna

I am working on a Mac.
I am running Linux Ubuntu server in a VirtualBox. GlassFish 4 and MySql are already running there. The Linux IP is 10.0.1.12.
On the guest system (Mac) I am running Eclipse Luna. I installed the GlassFish Tools for Eclipse Luna and restarted Eclipse.
Then I wanted to add server for GlassFish4. But Eclipse is asking me for "Server root" and I have no clue what it means! I entered "10.0.1.12:4848/" just as I can access GlassFish from the host system (Mac OS) by a browser. But it just doesn't accept that URL. It seems to expect a local directory path. Here is the dialog box:
Thanks in advance for any hints!!
You need to install a Glassfish4 Server to your local machine (the one Eclipse is running on) despite the fact that you want to connect to and manage a remote Glassfish server; Eclipse will use some of the files in that local installation to manage the remote Glassfish server. Assuming you already have Glassfish4 installed on a remote machine:
[For example purposes]
Let's assume the remote Glassfish server is at 192.168.2.7 on default port 4848 for administration and you've set a password for 'admin' user as 'gfish'.
Let's also assume that your local desktop (development machine running Eclipse Luna) is at 192.168.2.3
Download Glassfish4 Open Source edition zip
Unzip the contents to a directory on your local machine: let's say inside of path /glassfish_server/ you will now have:
/glassfish_server/glassfish4/glassfish/ structure
Back in Eclipse:
Create a New Server -> Select 'Glassfish4' option
Server's Hostname =[remote ip address] // E.G. 192.168.2.7
Server Name: GlassFish 4 at 192.168.2.7 // get's auto-filled
[Next] This is the page you were specifically having issue with:
Set the Root Path to your Local Glassfish Server install directory
so in this example: /glassfish_server/glassfish4/glassfish/ should be accepted
[Next] Now use the credentials and configuration for your remote glassfish server. Run a Ping-Test to test connection.
The server root means the directory where GlassFish is located. This might be, for example, /opt/glassfish4/glassfish. Eclipse needs this so that it can look for the bin/ directory and be able to start/stop the server using the scripts in there.
