Excel: Find matches from Col A and Col B which have highest corresponding Col C value, return Col D corresponding name - excel

I have a table with four columns. Column A has thousands of part numbers, all of which are unique. Column B also contains a list of part numbers, many of which appear multiple times, and all appearing somewhere in Column A. Column C contains values for the quantity of each part corresponding with Column B. Column D contains a vendor name relating to the specific quantity of that specific part from Columns B and C.
I need a command that can take a value from column A, compare it to all the values of Column B, and return the corresponding vendor name from Column D when the values from A and B match. The catch is that if the value appears multiple times in Column B, I only want the vendor name returned of the part with the highest Column C quantity.
Here's what it looks like:
Col A Col B Col C Col D
1234; 1234; 6; Mikey's
1455; 1234; 12; Jerry's
1767; 1542; 78; Bill's
1542; 1767; 45; Ted's
1455; 59; Joe's
I would like to return in a new column E:
Jerry's
Joe's
Ted's
Bill's
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me. I have toiled through days of research and scouring the internet to find an answer. Thank you in advance.

Searching a column for a string in one array, and returning a value that corresponds to that array

I am going to do my best to describe this.
I want to search column C for any of the strings contained on a different sheet in column A, and if/when one of those strings is found, i want to return the column B that corresponds to the found string.
For example:
Sheet 1:
Column A
Column B
Column C
project 1
2/15/19
Status is Red, because....
Project 2
4/12/20
RAG- Green, PTG is....
And on another sheet I have common ways to describe their statuses in Column A, and in Column B, a simple letter R, A, G or NS (Not started) if no other common status is found.
Column A
Column B
Column C
Status is Red
R
Rag- Green
G
How can I Search Column C for a value on Column A (on a different sheet) and return column B in Column D on the original sheet?
Results should look like
Column A
Column B
Column C
Column D
project 1
2/15/19
Status is Red, because....
R
Project 2
4/12/20
RAG- Green, PTG is....
G
This may be a bit of an extended function and depends on how many rows you have in the second sheet.
You can hard code it with
=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Red",C2)),VLOOKUP("Status is Red",Sheet2!$A$2:$B$3,2,FALSE),IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Green",C2)),VLOOKUP("RAG - Green",Sheet2!$A$2:$B$3,2,FALSE),"NS"))
Or use the more dynamic:
=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(Sheet2!$A$2,Sheet1!C2)),VLOOKUP(Sheet2!$A$2,Sheet2!A2:B3,2,FALSE),IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(Sheet2!$A$3,Sheet1!C2)),VLOOKUP(Sheet2!$A$3,Sheet2!$A$2:$B$3,2,FALSE),"NS"))
Explanation
SEARCH(find_text,within_text) - returns the index of where the substring begins
ISNUMBER(value) - returns TRUE if a number, FALSE if not.
VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array,col_index_num,[range_lookup]) - finds the value within the array and returns the corresponding value in the specified column.
$X$Y - the dollar signs stop the values from changing when you use ctrl+d or ctrl+r to fill multiple cells
So to break it down:
IF (search returns an index)
THEN VLOOKUP (find this value and return the corresponding value from this column)
ELSE (repeat above as needed)
ELSE ("NS")

How to match up 2 columns with 2 other columns

In column A I have product id's and column B has the number of times the product in column A was quoted.
In column C I have the same product id's (but in different order) and column D has the number of times the product in column C was actually sold.
I want to match them up to add a final column in order to divide sales/quoted in order to get a value of efficiency in sales.
I believe it's an index/match/match but I'm not sure how to set it up.
Please help
Try
=B3/vlookup(A3,C:D,2,false)
In words: take the value in B3 and divide it by the value from column D where column C has the same text as A3.

Sum of multiple columns if they match

I have this table of data:
A B C D E
003B1016 1 003G1016 1 003B1016
003G1015 1 003G1391 2 003G1015
003H0121 4 003H6208 2 003H0121
003H6209 1 003H6209 1 003H6209
I want to sum B+D if A and C are identical , how would i do that?
I have another 32000 rows of data. :) Thanks for the help
Put this in cell E1 and copy down:
=IF(A1=C1,B1+D1,"")
This says - if A = C, then add B+D. Otherwise, return blank "".
EDIT for new requirements
In order to add all amounts from column B where column A matches the current row and from column D where column C matches that row, where the row in column A exists anywhere and the row in column C exists anywhere, do the following formula in E2 and drag down:
=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A2,A$1:A1)),IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A2,C:C,0)),"",SUMIFS(B:B,A:A,A2)+SUMIFS(D:D,C:C,A2)),"")
This says: look above the current row in column A - have we seen this item before? If no, continue with the formula. If yes, ignore, to avoid double counting. Then, Look at all of column C - does the value in the current row of A occur anywhere in column C? If no, then don't add anything. If yes, Add all items from column B where column A matches the current row, and add all items from column D where column C matches the current row.

Identify matching numbers and then imput a value from a different column

I have two sheets, Sheet1 and Sheet2. Sheet1 has a list of company names in column A, Revenue in column B and a unique number identifier in column D (also seen as "unique #forAAA in Sheet2). In Sheet2, I pulled a list from Hoovers, and the format comes up something like below (so this format should not be changed).
Column A B C D
Company Name Place Type of Comp Revenue
1 AAA US HQ 10.0 M
2 unique #forAAA
3 BBB India Branch 5.0 M
4 unique #forBBB
What I'd like to do is match the unique number for each company between Sheet1 and Sheet2 and then put the revenue # from Sheet2 into column B of Sheet1 which corresponds to the correct #. I'm pretty lost here, so any help or ideas would be great. Thanks for your help!
Because the unique identifier is on a different row than the result to be returned, you can use a variation using INDEX and MATCH:
=INDEX(Sheet2!D:D, MATCH(D2, Sheet2!A:A, 0)-1)
INDEX will return the value within range Sheet2!D:D on row MATCH(D2, Sheet2!A:A, 0)-1.
MATCH(D2, Sheet2!A:A, 0) will give you the row number where the unique ID is found, then -1 to get the row number of the revenue amount.
EDIT: As per comment, to remove the M, you can use this:
=TRIM(SUBSTITUTE(INDEX(Sheet2!D:D, MATCH(D2, Sheet2!A:A, 0)-1),"M",""))
I would put the unique value in a column inserted before A (would be the new column A) instead of putting it below each row. Then, in the other sheet I'd put the VLOOKUP like this:
=VLOOKUP(D2,Sheet2!A:E,5,0)
That should return the value in column E (column D before the column insertion, i.e. revenue for the unique company identifier).
Note that the third argument in the vlookup function is the number of the column you want to be retrieved, so the range defined in the second argument (Sheet2!A:E) should contain that column.

Column A numbers matched with Column B numbers that are assigned to Column C =column D?

This is my example
Column A are numbers
Column B are numbers
Column C are Names
The A column are numbers associated with a item sold to one place. Column B is the items sold and C is the person who sold them. I would like column D to show the item sold to this one place and who sold it. Let me know if that makes sense.
PS: Column A has 1304 rows. Column B and C have 6154 rows
It is hard to guess what your data looks like, so assuming your data looks as below:
Here is my solution, I think it is a simple VLOOKUP problem:
Paste this =IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(C2,$A$2:$A$4,1,FALSE)),"","SoldToPlaceA") to E2 and drag it down to copy.
