I am trying to build chromium on linux but at the moment I fail at the command:
GYP_GENERATORS="ninja" build/gyp_chromium
I get the following error:
Updating projects from gyp files...
gyp: conditions chromecast==1 must be length 2 or 3, not 4 while loading dependencies of /home/code/git/src/base/base.gyp while loading dependencies of /home/code/git/src/build/all.gyp while trying to load /home/code/git/src/build/all.gyp
I couldn't find any solution on the net...
Can somebody please help me?
You shouldn't have to run build/gyp_chromium. In fact, on Linux, you should now be using GN, which is a new and improved meta build system replacing GYP.
The basic steps from the beginning are:
Install depot_tools
fetch chromium
(In your Chromium src dir) ./build/install-build-deps.sh
gclient runhooks
gn gen out/Default
ninja -C out/Default chrome
Once you're already set up, the update - build cycle looks like this:
git fetch && git checkout origin/master && gclient sync
ninja -C out/Default chrome

bundle install && rake install

I'm following these instructions. I successfully did stack new and stack setup but stack build fails.
I found a git issue that this may be due to extra files listed in the cabal file, but removing them didn't fix the issue (and I'm just using the new-template without any changes). I am on Ubuntu 14.04 and installed stack using the script. Is there anything else I can look into?
It appears that this might be due to me trying to build inside of a cifs directory. Is there anything I can do to handle this?

One possible cause of this issue is:
* No module named "Main". The 'main-is' source file should usually have a header indicating that it's a 'Main' module.

Looks like the issue is caused by the depth of the folder where the project lives (Windows 10, x64). From the moment the depth exceeds some threshold, described error appears. So try moving the project folder up in directories tree.
Using stack 1.2.0 and LTS 7.0 I'm getting the following error installing the shuffle library:

Do I need to add/change something in the library or in stack.yaml? (I had no problems using cabal-install).
I was able to get this to work by adding the following to stack.yaml:
explicit-setup-deps:
shuffle: true

It appears that this package requires you to have installed uuagc-cabal to build it. Starting after Cabal-1.23 these kinds of package dependencies for Setup.hs files can be captured in the custom-setup section of a cabal file.

Trying to rebuild hxcpp failed with the cryptic error message:
Error: Could not find build target "std"
Some users report this hint (I swear I didn't see it when I hit the issue, unless I'm just blind):
Have you tried rebuilding the hxcpp.n and build.n scripts?
This is done by running haxe in the tools/hxcpp and tools/build directories.
Hence:
cd hxcpp/tools/hxcpp
haxe compile.hxml
cd ../build
haxe compile.hxml
Fixes it.
Also note that nightly hxcpp builds are available from nmehost.com and openfl.org if you just need a newer version than what's available via haxelib.
I'm trying to build gnome-weather using jhbuild, but running build process results in the following errors:

Strangely the error says that Python headers were not found even though I have python-devel installed. I managed to find python-config in usr/bin so how to change its directory for configure? Or maybe the problem lies elsewhere? (I just want to build gnome-weather)
