I have a custom http module (.DLL developed in .NET) that I'd like to add /programmatically/ to a running Azure Web App. I have access to management certificate or ARM token that WebApp is running under. I'm using .NET code to talk to Azure Management API, so examples with their Management libraries are preferred
I've looked at the client.WebSites.UpdateConfiguration call and its HandlerMappings property, but these look to be Website extensions that are shown as HTML pages that help manage the WebApp, not analyze live traffic.
Basically, I need to add custom .NET DLL library that analyzes web requests.
Not sure of any specific way. But Can be Done in your App Start

I am using VS 2017 and have successfully setup to use Stateless Web API. I can see the output of the default controller when I run it.
Now, I want to create web pages within this project and use AngularJS SPA within it to access its own API.
I am unable to find any examples which clearly show how to do this. Note this is ASP.NET Web API - not ASP.NET Core.
Someone please help.
I opened a support ticket with Microsoft and this can be done with the ASP.NET Web API support in service fabric. Web pages can be added to the self-hosted web api project, but each file has to be individually configured for this project - if you have hundreds of files, it does not allow you to configure the entire folder contents for the project, because you have to mark each file to build as content. The example they sent me is an obscure article in a Microsoft blog from a Microsoft Engineer nobody has heard of before.
Not worth it. Use the ASP.NET Core support.

MSFT replied that sub applications are not currently supported in through this onboarding model.
So, we are trying to onboard the three applications individually and link them in the Azure marketplace. We are not sure whether this will work or if this is possible.
In the sample applications in the GitHub link - https://github.com/SunBuild/web-app-marketplace, they have a hosting plan JSON file for the web app resource. Can we link the applications using this hosting plan JSON file?

From the documentation, we could know if web app need Virtual application setting to be configured for web app, we will not be able to on board the application.

In my view, if you on board these application individually, it may not enable us to bundle multi individual applications to make them link with each other. You could contact with Azure marketplace support team.

In the link you posted, we could find that it is an Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template that is used to define resources you want to deploy. This article explained about the Azure Resource Manager template, please refer to it.
I am trying to use ABCpdf .NET with Azure App Service and getting the following error when generating a PDF.
Unable to render HTML. Failed to configure IE 9 or above for the MSHtml engine:
Access denied while writing to the registry.
For IIS applications, please enable "Load User Profile" or
consult MSHtmlBootstrap in the documentation.
Usually in a VM I would set Load User Profile to True and it works but in Azure App Service, I do not have access to IIS Application Pool configuration.
According to the developer of ABCpdf, it should work with Azure websites.

Windows Azure Web Sites
WAWS sites operate as 32-bit processes in a multi-tenanted environment. In order to isolate one site from another WAWS is locked down to prevent inter-process communication. While you may find ABCpdf (32-bit) will install to WAWS, we expect the functionality will be diminished.
You cannot modify the registry with Azure Web Apps (formerly Web Sites). So, you're getting an error because the app cannot register itself. Being a multi-tenant service, you are not allowed to make registry modifications.
You need to go back and look at that page again, where they suggest using a VM or a web/worker role (both of which do allow for registry modification).
Even though this is a few years old it's the top StackOverflow question for "ABCpdf App Service" so it seems pertinent add an updated answer.
As of version 12.1 ABCpdf.NET includes the ABCWebKit HTML rendering engine based on WkHTMLToPdf 0.12.6 (Qt patched version).
Although limited compared to the default ABCChrome engine, it will enable rendering in a 64-bit Azure App Service on Windows using Basic App Service plans B1 and above.
NB: it will not work on any of the free App Service plans, or on 32-bit instances.

is there any way to publish my API in azure mobile service API instead of using its own. I want just to know it, because assume I have a backup server in amazon and as you know I don't have access to azure sdk in there and it means technically I cant use the API anywhere outside the azure.
Azure mobile services is actually based on the .Net web api in their C# flavor and on node.js on the Javascript side. You could surely write an API using those technology and have the same behavior. You will gain the fact of being more portable, however you will lose some of the preconfigured stuff from Mobile services.

Both tech are quite easy to learn and super powerfull, have fun! You can create and publish your own custom APIs in azure mobile service. You could even access in via azure mobile service sdk in client by using "InvokeApiAsync<>()" method.

The interesting part is, how a developer can call new SendGrid('**username**', '**password**'); from within a server side script to start using the SendGrid API.
For me it looks like a custom script has been registered on the server when I choose the SendGrid add-on.
How could I register a script of my own? I tried googling around but searches such as register custom script only returned tutorials on how to write server side scripts, not how to register a custom library to be used on those scripts.

The basic approach to using custom scripts with Mobile Services is this:
Enable source control for your Windows Azure Mobile service.
Install Git on your local machine.
Use Git to deploy custom scripts (or node modules) from your local machine to your Windows Azure Mobile service.
