We are trying to get a simple noflo example running inside a browser as described the noflojs.org/documentation/fbp/ [Language for Flow-Based Programming]
We tried to refer to some examples available on GitHub

We tried npm install; grunt build. We get the below error and are not able to proceed beyond this:
Running "noflo_browser:build" (noflo_browser) task install
noflo/noflo#master Warning: dns lookup failed Use --force to
continue.
Any idea what are we missing ?
At the time of the question the build setup for the projects mentioned was still based on Component.js which had become unmaintained.
Nowadays we're using NPM for installing dependencies and WebPack for browser builds.
Suggested fix would be to fetch the latest versions of these repos, do npm install and build again. This will bring the build up to spec.
If you're using the old build setup in your own projects, this PR is a handy example on what to change to go from Component.js to WebPack.

I'm completely new to React, Node, NPM, and CodeMix in Eclipse. I'm a veteran java developer and so want to use eclipse over VSCode for familiarity. I'm following this tutorial:

I get to step 5 and run
react-scripts start
The result:

Module not found: Can't resolve 'react/jsx-dev-runtime' in 'C:\temp\workspace\CCFPortal\src'
I created my project via the new project to create a React project. The wizard added all the standard code. Bringing up the terminal gave me some issues because the terminal doesn't seem to set the path to bring nodejs.exe into scope, so I did it manually in the terminal window. Adjusting the properties in window->preferences terminal+ doesn't seem to ever take effect.
I did the following in npm (in addition to the steps in the tutorial) because there were two 'warnings' in the markers view that suggested it. As near as I can tell, all commands were successful whether from the tutorial or these two (though it does flag some 'vulnerabilities' in npm that I force fixed).
npm install #types/react
npm install #types/react-dom
It is indeed true that there is no react/jsx-dev-runtime under that src folder. There's NOTHING there but the src. But I'm unclear why it wasn't there given that I ran npm install and the other things suggested in the tutorial.
Can someone help explain my pathing issue in the terminal and especially why npm is doing this when I run react-scripts start?
I tried to fork this react native module to make some corrections, because the author abandoned the project and he was the only tool I found and meets my need, so reading an article I found out about the fork, I did this procedure, then I cloned and did necessary correction, only when having to add the module to my react project with the
yarn add lucassouza16/react-native-svg-uri
I get this error:
error Couldn't find the binary git
I'm new to this forking function, is there anything else I need to do?

In the end all responses resulted in the same error, yet thanks to everyone who tried to help me, but it worked when I added the release version, this is the correct format:
yarn add lucassouza16/react-native-svg-uri#1.2 .4
I am working on an application via the toolchain tool on IBM Cloud and editing the code via the Eclipse Orion IDE. As I am not accessing this through my local cli, my understanding is that in order to so call npm install {package}, I would just need to include the package in the package.json file under dependencies and require it in my app. However, when I load the application, I get the require is not defined indicating that the package has not been installed. Moreover, the require() is being used in the app.js file with the application being launched but not from files in my public directory.
After playing around further, it seems it might have to do with the way the directory tree is being traced as the error is only thrown in subdirectories. For example, require('express') works in app.js which is in the main directory ./ but fails when it is called in test.js in ./subdirectory/test.js. I feel like I'm missing something painfully simple like configuration of endpoint or something.
I've been searching around but I can't seem to find how to get the packages loaded, preferably without using the cli. Appreciate any pointers. Thanks!
Update: After playing around further, I am also getting module is not defined error when trying to require from another file in the same directory. For example module.exports = 'str' returns this error. While trying to require('./file') returns the require is not defined. It might have to do with how node is wrapping the functions?
Update 2: Tried "start": "npm install && node app.js" in package.json but no luck. Adding a build stage which calls npm install before deployment also does not work
Update 3: After adding npm install build stage, I am able to see that the dependencies have been successfully built via the logs. However, the require is not defined error still persists.
Update 4: Trying npm install from my CLI doesn't work as well even though all packages and dependencies are present
Update 5: Running cf restage or configuring cache via cacheDirectories does not work as well

Found out my confusion was caused due to me not realizing that require() cannot be used on the client side unless via tools such as Browserify.
Our TFS build server does not have access to the internet. After getting node.js installed next I tried to install tfx-cli. using the command:
npm install -g tfx-cli
As far as I can tell, now it wants to download dependencies required. It looks like a whole web of dependencies - nuget style. Am I expected to set up an internal npm server with the dozens of dependencies required, becoming an expert on node.js and npm - just so I can add some custom commands to our TFS server?
Is there a version of tfs-cli I can get that includes all dependencies ?

Although I haven't tried it myself, there do seem to be ways of installing NPM packages offline. Here's one Stack Overflow answer that may get you pointed in the right direction. Another solution I've seen recommended is npmbox.
I have been using Yeoman to start building with web apps and such for maybe the last month. And I have been running into some issues and have been able to resolve most of them. However, now I am stuck.
I'm running MAC OS 10.6.8
I have reinstalled Yeoman and Node fixed my paths for (what I know) as global.
Running grunt in my app.
Forces me to run as sudo. (I think this is because this OS has password protected permissions for apps and programs to install/modify files.
** If I run grunt -f
Warning: Unable to write "dist/scripts/vendor/modernizr.js" file (Error code: EACCES). This error happens with most of the main tasks in grunt.
Running sudo grunt
grunt runs through the tasks just fine until the real issue I cannot locate an answer.

And grunt will not finish this download of source files. When I ran grunt using force it would complete the download. I am looking for a solution for the 2nd list item. Any assistance would be helpful.
Found out that there some glitch in the npm grunt-modernizr.
I used this code:
npm remove grunt-moderizr && npm install --save-dev grunt-modernizr
