kentico continuous integration failure - kentico

I am try to synch my Kentico 9 database using ContinuousIntegration.exe -r.
I'm getting the following error message:
"The application is not a web application, it cannot provide database installation wizard. Please install the database externally, and setup the connection string."
The app has been setup as a web application.
I've run this through PowerShell and at the Command Prompt (Admin) and always get the same error. I've followed the online procedure exactly. No joy.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Run the ContinuousIntegration.exe utility from bin folder (not Lib).

Setting up cakephp3 on azure webapp on linux

I am new to Azure. I would like to setup web app of cakephp 3+ on web app service of azure. I made a web app and tried to install cakephp by composer.
I get the following error:
Fixture creation for "requests" failed "SQLSTATE[HY000]: General Error: 5 database is locked"
Fixture creation for "panels" failed "SQLSTATE[HY000]: General Error: 5 database is locked"
I thought this error was the database connection. But I made a custom script and I saw the web server was able to connect to the database server. I also checked for php version compatibility, but it was all fine, as my dev server is running on same php(7.0) with same cake version. I looked into the looked into logs but nothing helped me. When I exported the code/cakephp to other server it works without any issue. Microsoft did not help me.
Please help in solving the issue.
The "requests" and "panels" tables are used by DebugKit, and created automatically if they don't exist. Presumably, the database user you are connecting to the database with doesn't have "create" permissions here. Either correct that, or disable the DebugKit plugin in your config/bootstrap.php.

cannot create directory using ODIExportMaster tool

I am using ODIExportMaster tool in a package. The tool will create a zip file and save on server. The server is Linux machine and agent also reside on the same system as that of odi.
The code runs fine for dev and test environment. but its giving error as 'Can not create directory' on production server.
The user has same rights in all the environment.
Kindly guide me if anybody have any idea.
/Regards
if i am not wrong you are executing the package from client machinei, isn't it?
if so, please check with your production system Admin if you have access to the user where your client is installed.
or if you are running scenario on server it self instead of client machine, still if it is giving error try to understand why is it trying to create directory?
OR if it is directing a wrong error.

No error code during Deploy using Web Deploy 3.5

I'm totally new to web deployement. I did set up a deploy on one of my project, I did the same thing on another one. But when I try to publish my website, I have this error with no code.
I don't even know where to search for the log file on the IIS server. Can you tell me, Everything is running with default configuration. I just need to know where to find the information so I can publish my website.
I finally found this blog where the solution is explained : http://bartwullems.blogspot.fr/2013/01/webdeploy-error-systemunauthorizedacces.html
I didn't know where to look for the logs but once I found the right log, the error is : System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation. at System.Security.AccessControl.Win32.SetSecurityInfo

Windows Azure MVC3 app - 500 - Internal server error

I was running my application with no errors locally, but when added Windows Azure project, set up the database config, generated the packages and ran in stage mode, I just can get 500 internal errors.
My app has some redirections for logged and non logged users.
I tried to follow some answers about the problem with no results. When I run the application locally with the emulator everything runs ok.
I didn't set any permission or user anywhere in my SQL or Windows Azure panel. As I don't have any experience with Windows Azure, please explain steps on how to do things =)
Now, after reading almost 20 articles, I realized that I was using the old Membership and Session Providers, and that the old aspnet_regsql doesn't fit Windows Azure.
So, the first action of my application was watch if the user was logged in. Because of that, the 500 Internal errors.
Articles that helped me a lot:

CruiseControl.Net switch from console to service

I have set up a cruisecontrol.net build server. When running it in console mode it works fine, but when trying to run it as a windows service it doesn't work. The log file shows the following message:
ThoughtWorks.CruiseControl.Core.CruiseControlException:
Source control operation failed: No VSS database (srcsafe.ini) found.
Use the SSDIR environment variable or run netsetup.
The ssdir is set in ccnet.config, so what am I missing here?
Not sure if it's applicable but when I had problems switching between the Console version and the Service version it was down to access rights for the user I was starting the service as.
Perhaps the Service does not have access rights to the srcsafe.ini file and your account does(assuming that's what your using to run the console).
Apologies if I'm way off the mark, just trying to help!
I ran into similar issues when setting up our CI environment at work. If you can get log-in permissions for the service account you are using, you can log in as that account and run CC.NET via the console and debug your issues.
