As a complete beginner, I´m starting a web project running multiple website that should show the same text, that is regulary edited. Where the "source text" should be hosted depends on what's best.
I´ve heard of solutions such as RSS and Java. It would be great making it load as fast as possible, but initially I just want it to work.
Thankful for tips, ideas and help!
I guess it would have to be connected to a database

Dear Stackoverflow people,
I am facing the following problem:
For an internship in a company I have created a leaflet map with several custom features such as custom popups, markerstyle etc. The thing is, in the end they are supposed to manage the whole thing. Since they don´t know anything about code they asked for the easiest possible way for them to add data to the map.
So I came across the serverside tutorial by CodingTrain using Node.js and thought its perfect for me. Now I created basically a webform that takes up all information, converts it into a geoJSON feature, stores it in a database and sends it to the map to be displayed, great easy GUI to add new features...
Now comes the bummer which I didnt know would be a problem: The website is on a hosted service called Bitrix. I uploaded my project and it does not recognize the routes and cant write to the database or anything. I actually dont know whether I can run node on this platform?
I had the idea to launch the whole thing on a Service like Heroku or Glitch and just take the map from there and include it into the other website via an Iframe or something like that. Do you guys think thats feasible? Are there any other better ways?
Sorry for my obvious cluelessness but I´m completely new to serverside programming and thought I´d found an easy way out... I am grateful for any kind of suggestions or help!
How do i actually start making a website? Every time I think of making a website I stuck as from where should I start?Where to start writing a code? How to make it interactive? Hoping to get the answer that help me.
I have tried in the past but I really want to make a website of my own as I am looking to start my online company.
Use wordpress. It is content management system with milions of themes and plugins to do whatever you want for your own web site.
Hi I am running a delivery shop and using delivery.com for my shop.
I also want to have my own website which user can order service or choose delivery time on the website like delivery.com does.
I wonder if is it better to develop from scratch or can I use wordpress and customize it? or are there plugins or widgets I can use for my website?
Please give me some advice what will be the best way to build my website.
Thank you.
Well technically anything is pretty much possible in Wordpress but it won't happen out of the box, unless you already have a theme in mind which serves this purpose. I won't be surprised if there is a theme out there which you can use to do this.
Personally I would build this from scratch as you would be able to build exactly what you want and you can build it with scalability in mind as well.
Wordpress tends to fall off when the site starts getting A LOT of traffic.
Check out Ruby on Rails, you would be surprised how at how simple it can be to build something like this.
The server will go down (if) when your site will visit 1000+ persons, because one of the problem of universal script that can be used (in opinion of creators) every where is that it make 100 sql queryes to display one simple page.
I have been integrating a standard border container (Nested Layout Widgets) from this site
http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/dijit/layout/BorderContainer.html which worked quite well.
The problem is that I want to use this application offline but didn't find a way to do so. I mean why do I have to be online to use it anyway?
Can you help here? Are there any files that are not stored locally that I have to link across the project? Or is it just not possible to use it offline?
Also, what about the dojo offline project anyway? Th last status is from 2007?
Thank you very much for your help in advance!
Best

You should look at the HTML5 application cache for offline applications. dojox.offline is pretty much abandoned given the newer browser technology.
Hi
I'm looking for a tool (free/paid) like a program that help me in reviewing my website style and interface such as explain the content of the home page (footer, header ..... ) taking snapshots and write comment on them ... I know this can be done using (print screen) and the MS paint but I need a more professional tool to use .
thank you in advance
I'm not sure if I understand well, but conceptshare may be the tool you looking for.
There's a firefox extension called Screengrab that can capture an entire page. You could add annotations to that quite easily in a DTP tool.
I'm not sure about the type of review you're looking for.
If you want to have people using the website and giving you their feedback in terms of navigation, layout, design and content, you can use a www.usertesting.com services.
They'll enroll users to test out the website and them give you a URl to review a video/audio recording of each user test. It's a great way to validate your website.
Hope this is what you were looking for...
