Run VS as Administrator in Windows 10 - visual-studio-2012

I have to right click on VS2012 shortcut and "Run As Administrator" every time I want to work. I tried going to the properties and changing the settings, but the settings are disabled:
I saw this:Question for solution, especially Nate's answer. But I don't get the Compatibility tab. Maybe because I am running Windows 10. I went to the file devenv.exe in Program Files(x86) and even changed the user permission for my account, but it just went back to what it was before right after I closed it.
Anyone know, how to go about it?
Edit After Oz's Answer:
Can you help me with where to find Groups in this?

This finally worked. I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe as specified by #magicandre1981.
Right Click on devenv.exe
Chose 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'
Check 'Program requires additional permissions.'
Then clicked 'Next'
Clicked 'Test the program.' Visual Studio started.
Clicked 'Next' again.
Selected 'Save settings for this program.'
Close.

Android Studio opening error: Unable to Start Correctly (0xc000007b)

I just installed Android.Studio.3.4.1.0.x64 but when I want to open it, I get this error:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK
to close the application.
Why this happens and how can I fix it?
I searched for the error and did these things but didn't work:
Reinstalled the AndroidStudio
Installed dot net framework 4.7.2 developer pack
Installed latest version of DirextX
Restarted my computer each time of above steps
I found the following answer here JetBrains IDE Error on start : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) from #Amir Karamat, and it worked for me:
in Windows 10 you should follow these steps:
open Settings (just right-click on windows start and choose
settings)
search for 'Windows Defender Settings' or just go to 'Update & Security' > 'Windows Security'
then open 'App & browser control', in the new opened window scroll down to the end to find 'Exploit protection settings', click
that
sort of settings will be shown and you can change the default settings. to create an exception you should click "Program settings"
(which doesn't seem to be a button, but it is!)
click 'add program to customize', in the dialog enter your ide name.exe (you can easily find it by clicking 'open file location' on
shortcut of the application)
in my case the application name was 'phpstorm64.exe'
next you have to look for 'force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)' check the 'override system settings' and switch it
off and apply settings.
I'm not sure if it's needed, but turning off 'Randomize memory allocations (Bottom-up ASLR)' stated to work for others

LogCat Missing from Android Studio 3.1.3

I recently installed Android Studio 3.1.3 on my laptop in order to start learning android/mobile development (I am still new to all of this). The LogCat option seems to be missing though (refer to images below)
What I tried to do in order to fix the problem:
-uninstalling and reinstalling android studio (along with updating it...)
-researching the problem (no useful results as all the solutions were to press alt-6 or go to View->Tool Windows)
It would be a huge help/relief if someone knows how to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance.
I know it is an old question, but I encountered this problem at least twice so it might help someone.
The problem seems to be the path of the project you're looking at.
It should be pointing to the folder containing the 'app' and 'gradle' folders inside your project.
Go to File > Open
Select the folder with the 'app' folder inside your project
Press 'Open'
If you see something like this you can now probably open the Logcat window with alt-6 or View->Tool Windows.
Note that for some reason, it didn't work for me at first until I opened the app folder, run a build and then opened the folder containing the app folder.
You need to sync your project and then Logcat will show up
Just in case anyone stumbles upon this as I did: If you are developing a react-native app, be sure that you import only the android folder of the project.
If you import the whole project, then among other things, logcat is nowhere to be found!
Try pressing Alt+6 on Windows or CMD+6 on Mac.
I closed "Logcat" by accident via right click -> "Remove From Sidebar".
I was able to restore it with these steps:
Launch your current App on an emulator.
This should create a "Run" Tab on the Sidebar.
Click on the "Run" Tab and find the "Modify Run Configuration..."
(Wrench) icon and launch it.
Change the tab to "Miscellaneous".
Check the box next to "Show logcat automatically"
This is not a solution if Logcat doesn't even show up in View->Tool Windows!
But if it does: click it and it may show up at a different location than it used to be. Without recognizing I had shoved it to the top left where the project tab is shown. You can now click on the gear wheel on the tab and select move to bottom left (that is the default location).
This was the solution for my "logcat not showing".
Press Alt+6 inside Android Studio to open Logcat monitor.
Then, Do the following steps:-
Open Android Studio.
Open Android Monitor Window(at the bottom of android studio).
Here you will see the drop down in right corner.
Select Show only selected Application.

I can't see AVD manager window in android studio 0.4.0

I am using windows 8,android studio 0.4.0 jdk 7_45 and jre7 installed. JAVA_HOME and JAVA variables are also set in Environment Path Variables.
When I click on tools-> android->avd manager , it shows nothing (not even error anywhere) . Nothing at all happens.
What should i do? I guess this version is not very stable.
It Seems your AVD Manager is missing from root SDK directory please follow the Steps
1. Go to sdk\tools\lib\ and copy AVDManager.exe
2. Paste it to root of your sdk Directory.
Now you have sdk\AVD Manager.exe
Now try to run it.
Check the permission for your Android folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Android
I fixed the same issue by right-clicking on the Android directory then
Properties->Security then selected the user name and ticked Full control then hit OK
If all else fails run as Administrator - this worked for me
Maybe, you need to go to android directory at first time.
Try to run Android studio in projectName/android folder. Then button AVD Manager must be active.
Run monitor.bat from android/sdk/tools, It open Android Device monitor.
From Window menu select AVD manager and also sdk manager.
You can try to access AVD without the help of Android studio.
AVD can be found:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\AVD Manager.exe
You will need to run this as administrator by right clicking and clicking 'Run as Administrator'
I got the same problem.
Check you don't have any errors on the bottom of android studio. I got one with sdk build. If you got the same click on the link in error log.
Next go to file -> settings -> Appearance&Behavior -> Menus and Toolbars.
Roll up Main menu -> Tools.
Choose Android.
Click on 'Apply' button and 'OK'.
Wait for a while (gradel progressbar on the bottom).
I hope that I solve your problem.

Project that I just opened "could not be opened"?

I have a VS2012 C++ project. I can open the project by clicking on the .sln file, but when I open VS2012 and try to open the project from the Start Page, I get this message:
"TestApp2" could not be opened.
Do you want to remove the reference(s) to it from the Recent list(s)?
I don't get this message for all projects, just this one.
I'm trying to run it from the Start Page because I want to run the code as an Administrator. I can right-click the VS2012 icon in the Start Menu and click "Run as Administrator", but right-clicking the .sln doesn't provide this option.
Is there something I can do to fix the project so it can be opened from the Start Page? Or is there another way to open the project as an Administrator?
The link that is stored in the memory for Visual Studio, is now different. This is the only way that could happen. So, remove it from the pinned recent solutions, open it manually, and then it will have the correct linkage in the Visual Studio menu.
Sorry, didn't see prior post on same solution. :)

How do I truly reset every setting in Visual Studio 2012?

I am trying to reset every single setting inside Visual Studio as I have completely lost all IntelliSense. I tried the Tools -> Import/Export settings -> Reset, but that is not clearing all the settings. I know it is not since the color theme was not reset, and I still do not have IntelliSense. Short of uninstalling and deleting every trace of the program including the registry, is there another way to reset every single setting to the factory default?
Visual Studio has multiple flags to reset various settings:
/ResetUserData - (AFAICT) Removes all user settings and makes you set them again. This will get you the initial prompt for settings again, clear your recent project history, etc.
/ResetSettings - Restores the IDE's default settings, optionally resets to the specified VSSettings file.
/ResetSkipPkgs - Clears all SkipLoading tags added to VSPackages.
/ResetAddin - Removes commands and command UI associated with the specified Add-in.
The last three show up when running devenv.exe /?. The first one seems to be undocumented/unsupported/the big hammer. From here:
Disclaimer: you will lose all your environment settings and customizations if you use this switch. It is for this reason that this switch is not officially supported and Microsoft does not advertise this switch to the public (you won't see this switch if you type devenv.exe /? in the command prompt). You should only use this switch as the last resort if you are experiencing an environment problem, and make sure you back up your environment settings by exporting them before using this switch.
How to hard reset Visual Studio instance
When developing extensions sometimes you just mess up, others someone else does. If you start getting errors loading even the most mundane extensions, these are the instructions to hard reset your instance.
Close Visual Studio (if you haven’t already).
Open the registry editor (regedit.exe)
Delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{version}
Delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{version}_Config
Delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\{version} directory.
Enjoy your brand new Visual Studio instance.
Use {version}=10.0 for Visual Studio 2010
Use {version}=11.0 for Visual Studio 2012
Use {version}=12.0 for Visual Studio 2013
If on the other side you want to reset the experimental hive you can do the same to with the ‘{version}Exp’ ones.
Happy coding!

Just repair Visual Studio itself from the control panel and that should do the trick!
1) Run Visual Studio Installer
2) Click More on your Installed version and select Repair
3) Restart
