I am developing an windows application in which I want birthdays reminder of the clients. So what I want is, when my pc starts, a program file should run automatically(i.e without click on the icon of setup) and fetch the records from database and show it to notify icon.
If you hae any idea regarding this please tell the flow.
Thanks in advance

In the new Microsoft Flight Simulator you can pop different cockpit displays out into their own external windows, like this:
However, none of the buttons needed to interact with the displays get "popped out" as well.
I'd like to build a web app that can embed (the continuously updating image of) one of these windows that I can surround with buttons, etc, for interaction to have, say, running on a tablet next to you.
My question is, is it possible with Node to embed the continuously updating image of a native Windows window within a webpage?
Stumbled upon the Screen Capture API. This is what I was looking for.

In Windows 10 universal application which is running in desktop environment, in what cases can be Application.Suspending event fired? One case is closing the app (for example with Alt+F4), are there any other cases? I thought that Alt+Tab would also fire this event but strangely that's not the case, why?
Application.Suspending on Mobile will fire whenever the user navigates to another screen via the task switcher, hitting the back button from the root page, hitting home, on when a phone call is received etc.
On Desktop, it will fire whenever the application is minimized.
However, it will ALSO fire on both desktop AND mobile when the app is on the way to being terminated for any reason.
On Desktop this is when alt+f4 is hit, or the window is closed.
On Mobile, by the time the window is being terminated (low memory or killed in switcher), the Application.Suspending event will have already fired.
Alt+Tab on desktop will not suspend the event as the window is still running as a live preview because it is visible to the user.

Hope this helps
I'm an absolute newbie to Xamarin world. I'm working on a web application where a user completes a long form (say some 100+ fields) and then submits the form which will write the information to a database. One of the requirement is user should be able to load the form, resume his work even when he is Offline( No internet connection). I have used HTML5 Application cache, Local Storage in Html5, KnockOut.JS, Java script so that for every 2 seconds all the user form information is saved to Local Storage of the browser. But lately, I noticed with few users that the forms are getting deleted sometimes due to an iOS update. Also I don't want to rely on browsers cookie/cache to store this information.
I want to find out what my options are with Xamarin. Can I use a component like 'UIWebview' in the Xamarin app to launch my web application and then access the file system of iOS of that Xamarin app from the browser launched ?
Sure you can!
One launch image plus one screen with UIWebView is what you need for your task. You can handle UIWebView's event to save and load it's state.
Good news is that such app could be small enought to build it using free (Starter) version of platform.
Obviously, after the crash Developer tools at port 9222 is of no use, because "Remote debugging has been terminated with reason: websocket_closed". How can I retrieve, for example, recorded timeline; or get call stack; or find anything about the reason the Chromecast decided to reboot itself? What are the best (or, for that matter, any) approach to debug Chromecast crashes?
We need to look at your log file to see what is causing the crash. It is relatively easy to do that but we need some help from your side.
First, open the Chromecast setup app on, say, your Android device and go to the settings for your device. You should see a check box that states something like: "Send Chromecast usage data and crash reports to Google". If it is not checked, make sure you check it and then wait 15 minutes or so and reboot your chromecast.
Try to recreate issue and as soon as it crashes and reboots itself, open the setup app again and select "Submit feedback report" from the overflow menu. You will see a new window on your phone and make sure you enter the following text in the text box there "crash-vmt". We will be using this text to search among the reports that we receive to identify your log.
After doing that, please let us know (add a comment here) so we can grab the log for further investigation.
I've been trying to create a proper Restart feature within my app, which doesn't work (Orientation is meshing up badly) so since this is a prototype I figure it will be easier if I just crash my app and the user taps again the icon.
Is there a way I could kill my application from code within 1-2 sec.?
Thank you!
You mean you want to quit your app when user taps on home button instead of going the app into background? If yes you can quit the app when user presses home button by adding a key into your info.plist file application does not run in background and set it's value to true. Here is the original key name UIKeySuspendOnExit I don't remember excatly but it should be like this. Find on google you will get easily.
