Developer signup - Instagram - instagram

So I have a mobile application where I use Instagram APIs as well; for Instagram here it asks my website url; since my application is not a website, can I pass url? Does it really matter?

Universal link from api endpoint

Hellooo
I am integrating Stripe connect with my app and am trying to configure a universal link as a redirect for once the user has signed up an account with stripe.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I am trying to host this link on my api. I have added a apple-app-site-association file to the root folder of my api, and specified a path as an endpoint /users/integrations/stripe/redirect.
I have added the api.mycompany.com as an associated domain on my app.
I am not being redirected to the app when I sign up with Stripe.
Any help or guidance would be great, even if to tell me I'm being an idiot and can't achieve my goals.
thanks

How to obtain access tokens from google

How to obtain oauth access tokens from google if i have only registered app and no server to redirect (as a "redirect_uri" parameter)?
I'm guessing that when you say you have no server, that your app is a native app. eg a desktop app or an embedded app. If so, you can generate tokens using the OAUth playground. See How do I authorise an app (web or installed) without user intervention? (canonical ?) for details.
You can use https://www.example.com/oauth2callback as your redirect uri.
Yes you can get an access token without a server. We've made it fairly easy. See the docs
On android it is fairly easy
https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/android/additional-scopes
https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/ios/
https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/ios/additional-scopes
Web
https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/incremental-auth
You can just change the scopes you need.

NodeJS API - security issues

I am making an API in NodeJS that 'll be used by a website and iPhone native app at the same time.
There is a chance that API URL will be exposed to user when used in javascript for website. I only want authorized access to the API. Don't want anyone call API via console. like user/delete/[user-id], anyone can use this URL to delete a user.
Check out http://passportjs.org/
There are plenty of authentication strategies to use. Don't reinvent the wheel here. ;)

Facebook app for website

Help me..
I'm implementing a web application in my local server and after i will publish my application to download and can use every one.So I need to give a social experience to user with my web application(user can update his fan pages through my web application). So i created a facebook application. But I'm still in problem what is site url in application. This is not for my own web site. This is for all download users. Then how can I create a facebook application to achieve this.
With a facebook Canvas App, site url is where the actual application is hosted.
So, if your web application was fully functional at http://example.com/facebook, that would be the site URL.
I created a facebook app last year and it's a web based application that is wholly contained within my webserver, the site url points to it's landing page.
I think you want to make this application downloadable like wordpress framework so that others can host the application on their server and use it.
So probably best way is to have a admin section like in wordpress, user who download and implement you application on his or her server can provide their own application access token.
Insted of hard-coding your own access code into your download application framework
In admin section create a tab to register your application with facebook, which will redirect user to the facebook.com/developer where he/she can register their application and after registration they can put their access token back in you application framework admin section. you can store this details in some table and fetch it where ever you need it for authentication.
hope this logic helps for you.

Using Google Authenticator with Chrome Plugins

I am developing a chrome plugin which allows the users to email any web content from a html page. For that, I need to use the google authenticator api to allow users to log into their google accounts for sending emails. The OAuth2.0 specs require the redirect_ui parameter which is the url to be called after google authenticates the user. My question is whether it is possible to skip this parameter. I don't want the plugin to be hosted anywhere. I am thinking that it would be hosted locally on the user's machine.
Thanks in Advance.
Google has made a library specifically for using OAuth in Chrome extensions. You can check out the tutorial here.
In case someone stumbles upon this answer in 2017+, extensions (in Chrome and FF) now have a chrome.identity API.
It takes care of the OAuth dance for you, and provides you with a virtual redirect address https://<your-extension-id>.chromiumapp.org/ that will be intercepted by the browser. That way, you can provide a redirect URL without hosting anything.
