I created a Azure VM in DevTestLab using base Windows Server 2016 DataCenter. Then I enabled web server role referencing this.
It seems there is some issue with IIS 10 as I am not able to access default website on this server. To verify further, I also tried to host a website with single html page but same issue "Page can't be displayed."
I gave a try with chrome browser and able to browse localhost website on chrome. So IIS 10 seems good on VM. Initially I guess was IIS 10 not configured properly but now it seems proxy on IE not allowing website content getting displayed. Now I am able to proceed with chrome and will reach out our network team if required.
We are facing issue while configuring IIS setup for weblogic servers.
Following are the environment details:
IIS8.5 on windows 2012 R2 standard 64x, wls_plugin_12.2.1.2.0 for weblogic server.
We have done the following steps:
Created a new web site on IIS.
Enabling the authentication settings.
Enabling the Directory browsing.
Added the script mapping in Handler mapping and set the path of iisproxy.dll as executor.
ISAPI filter setting for the iisproxy.dll
We are able to view the directory structure while accessing the IP and Port, but the request is not redirecting to the weblogic ip and port what we have configured in iisproxy.ini.
Is there any web.config or handler settings required to process the request?
The issue is that we are using wls-Plugin12.2.1.2.0 whose iisproxy.dll is not working in IIS8.5 on windows 2012 R2 server. After using the lower version of the plugin, able to access the web logic instance through proxy the IIS.
After that we are able to view the login page of web logic instance but not able to login to the application as it through s "404 Not found error". For this we have to change the handler mapping settings --> Request restrictions --> Mapping --> uncheck the invoke handle, restart the iis application and try browsing again. You will be able to login to web logic applications.
I have an Umbraco website with an SQl db. I backed up the DB and imported it on the SQL server on the server here. I then copied all the files of my umbraco folder and placed them in a folder on the server here as well.
I then made an 'application' in IIS and gave it an 4.5 application pool (integrated). I linked it to the folder on the server where all of the files are.
When I browse to the site I get to see all the content, also the dynamic content from the DB, but none of the mark up is applied. If I add /umbraco behind it to access the dev dashboard I just get a white page.
I have only been working with it for 5 days and am new to umbraco. IIS on the local server here has no web deploy installed and FTP is also not an option. I developped the website with Webmatrix and web deploy & FTP are the only two publish option it gives me.
Is there something I did wrong or how can I get the website to work properly here?
Umbraco needs to run in Full Trust mode. Make sure that your IIS is configured for Full Trust.
On Features View --> .NET Trust Levels --> Full (internal)
We have our as.net mvc web application website deployed under IIS , so I login to the server , then I opened the IIS manager but I could not find our web site listed there. Although under c:\wwwroot I can find the web site files and the website is running well. So can anyone advice what is causing this problem ? could it be related to permission problem ? or something else?
Thanks
try execute IIS as administrator:
I have been using an open source WebDAV framework named "Sphorium" for quite some time to talk to my data repository.. I have been using Cassini web server to host my WebDAV server module and everything was working just fine if I map the server as a web folder in my system. However, i found that Cassini web server does not support "https". So, I started looking out for deploying my WebDAV server application in IIS.. So I built a website in ASP .Net which talks to the Sphorium WebDAV module and authorizes the user. And when I run my website using the VS Debugger, it gets hosted on the ASP .Net development web server, prompts for the credentials and works just fine. However, if I publish my web app and try to host in in IIS, and try to browse, it prompts me for the password for 3 times and finally says "Unauthorized"...
Could someone pls throw some light on how I can use IIS in this case? Do I have to give any permissions?
