ContentDialog isn't available in WinJS 3.0.1 - winjs

I am making a website using WinJS 3.0.1, the last "stable" version as far as I know, and everything worked as a charm until I tried to create a ContentDialog following the instructions from http://try.buildwinjs.com and I discovered that that control is not included in that build, even if it was in previous versions of the library. The dialog will show up with pre 3.0 builds, but they only work on IE, so they are not a viable option.
Why is ContentDialog missing, has it been deprecated? Should I use other control or will it be added again in a coming version?
I've been searching through Microsoft documentation but I haven't found anything that explains why ContentDialog is not longer available, so any info is helpful.

I have VS community 2015 version 14 update 3. I am working in Unity 5.5.2 and trying to learn the game engine. I am trying to create some scripts which opens up into VS. Upon trying to add default initializers for properties of my class it gives an error. For some reason the program loads using C# version 4.
I would like to upgrade this to version 6, but when I have read other solutions to change the C# version it has always been going to the projects property page.
Snesh Prajapati's example doesn't work as the property page didn't have those options.
After trying David De Sloovere's solution some reason (maybe being a Unity project) the screen just flashes and no page is loaded when I try to bring up the projects property page. I even went and deleted the project.config file that was created, to not luck to get the properties page back displaying.
You are out of luck here. Unity uses an older version of C# (4.4 as of Unity 5.5).
To see the exact version of C# you are using, run the line Debug.Log(System.Enviroment.Version); and check your log.

Old version of TypeScript installation program (.MSI, or .VSIX) needed - 0.9.1.1 - where to find?

Anybody know how to get the .MSI installer for an older version of Typescript - the download at the offical URL for version 0.9.1.1 is no longer available.
It seems newer version 1.0 or 1.0.1.0 is available, but that version is incompatible with my client's software which I am attempting to support.
Any idea how to get the specific version I need?
OK - found it. After some digging, there is a reference in the bowels of the Microsoft Download Center for many old versions of TypeScript.
Expand the 'Details' section and scroll down, click 'Download' link on desired version...

How to add Storage reference?

This should be pretty straightforward, but can't work this out for myself I'm afraid!
The following line of code triggers the error:
using Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Storage;
Error: The type or namespace name 'Storage' does not exist in the
namespace 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework' (are you missing an assembly
reference?)
But as far as I can tell, I have added the reference: (Solution explorer -> right click References -> Add reference -> .NET tab -> scroll down to Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Storage -> select it -> click OK).
Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Storage shows up when I expand "references" in the solution explorer.
What am I missing?

Okay on second look this might be to do with how I'm adding the references. When I search in the object browser Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Storage doesn't show up (but when I search, for example, for audio, Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Audio does show up). Is there anyway to check that when I click "OK" on the add reference pop-up that it is actually working?
I see two likely possibilities.
You have a mismatch of XNA 4.0 and XNA 3.1 (or previous) references in your project. If the Storage reference you added is from 3.1, you'll get this message. You can try removing it, and then looking specifically for the 4.0 version during add.
The device you are building for may not support the Storage mechanism. In particular, Windows Phone apparently uses a different storage mechanism (System.IO.IsolatedStorage http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff604992.aspx).

This question was asked a long time ago, but if anyone else is still looking for an answer, here is how i fixed it.
If you installed the Microsoft.Xna.Framework references by using the installer from Microsoft, then it installs in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly. I found all of the Xna libraries in GAC_32 and Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Storage in GAC_MSIL.
You can also use the GAC to find libraries that aren't in Visual Studio's reference list. For .NET Framework versions before 4.0, the libraries are in C:\Windows\assembly, and the libraries for versions after 4.0 are in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly.
It's actually been removed from Monogame by Microsoft.
Running: Windows 10, with integrated graphics card (Intel G45/G43), Visual Studio 19, Monogame 3.7.1
Project Structure: Solution > Game.Shared, Game.Android, Game.OpenGL (followed this guide on creating a Cross-Platform project, method number 3).
I changed the Target Framework in my OpenGL project from .NET 4.5 to .NET 4.7.x (the newest version), and I was able to build and deploy the app to an Android device. Do this by clicking the project and selecting Properties.
I simply commented out the line. App will successfully deploy to an Android device this way. The game will then deploy, but I can't get any content to load.
Have yet to see if I can deploy to an iOS device, I will update this post when I figure out if I can.

Where can I download JRE 7u5 plugin for any browser?

I was looking for a good exploit to use as my final project for security class so I though for JRE 7u5 bug to exploit using Metasploit.
Where I can download that version of plugin for FireFox/IE/Chrome, for whatever browser?

While the older downloads are not listed any more, I think you'll find that they follow a well-defined naming pattern. For example, look at the download links on this page and modify as needed:

Not sure about Chrome, but I believe installing JRE on Windows adds it as browser plug-in for IE and Firefox. If not, follow these instructions.

Problems creating a Java Mobile Application project

I have installed the Netbeans 6.7 IDE with Java ME included, but cannot create a Mobile Application project from the Java ME category. When I select the project type the wizard stops at "Finding Feature" with the message:
Not all requested modules can be enabled:
[StandardModule:org.netbeans.modules.mobility.end2end.kig jarFile:C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.7\mobility8\modules\org-netbeans-modules-mobility-end2end-kit.jar.
I am attempting to run this on Vista Home Premium. I have tried to run the IDE as Administrator with no luck.
I am at a loss for where to go next as I cannot seem to find any information regarding this issue. Even if you don't have the solution any insight into this error message would be helpful.
I am unable so far to get the project running via the Netbeans IDE install. I have, for the time being, installed the Java ME SDK which includes a very stripped down version of the Netbeans IDE for mobile development.
I originally had some issues starting the SDK as well on Vista. The IDE reported that it could not connect to the device manager on localhost. After some searching I found this link: Java ME SDK Startup Problem which suggests changing the hosts file localhost entry from IPv6 to IPv4. The fix worked perfectly and I can now compile and run code in the emulator.
This is not an optimal solution as the SDK does not include the visual design tools, however I am able to get a basic project going in the mean time.
I have given up on the 6.7 version and have instead located and installed 6.5.1. This previous version has been working just fine and seems to do everything I need.
I ran into the exact same error today while installing NB 6.8 beta. To resolve it we need to install two plugins:
Java Web Applications (as mentioned by Ali above) and
Sun Java System Web Server 7.0
Note that these two are part of the Category called "Java Web and EE" hence the confusion that we need to install Glassfish App Server. But we need these two plugins because they are required for debugging using breakpoints in emulator. Netbeans runs a web server when we do breakpoint based debugging.
Also note that the Java Web applications needs SOAP Web Services and JavaScript Debugger plugins to run and so these plugins are also installed when you try to install it.
You also need to install "Java Web Applications" plugin.
Tools->Plugins->Available Plugins
If the module is present, you should try unzipping it to check its content makes sense.
You should also be able to rebuild it from Netbeans sources.
You can also try to figure out why this happens by debugging the module loader inside Netbeans from its sources, using another IDE, presumably the latest version of Netbeans you can find without the issue.
If the module is missing, you might want to get the missing jar file from an installation of a previous version of Netbeans, see if it is compatible.
6.5.1 isn't missing any module.
back in version 5.5, the mobility module had to be downloaded and installed separately from the main IDE.
