Node's Package Manager warning - node.js

I'm trying to install Hoodie
and after following the first steps in this tutorial http://www.sitepoint.com/tutorial-getting-started-hoodie/
in the step:
$brew install node
it shows me
Warning: node-0.10.33 already installed, it's just not linked
what does it mean?

To the first part of the question, this error means that you already have node installed on your system. You can likely find that install by using the command:
which node
Failing that,
locate node
I don't find any specific reference to the "it's just not linked" error statement, but the homebrew wiki refers to linking with the
brew link
command if/when the system fails to link (https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/blob/master/share/doc/homebrew/FAQ.md#what-does-keg-only-mean)
The error itself would come out of homebrew/install.rb line 46 (https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/blob/face2a37b011856b270e7d95b305f31994b3a662/Library/Homebrew/cmd/install.rb)

npm sqlite3 package does not work when installing on linux / invalid ELF header

I am trying to get my development environment up and running for my Shopify app and it has been awhile. Shopify updates so rapidly I am forced to either reintegrate my code with a new Shopify app instance or try to get the original to work. Unfortunately, I cannot run my current application because sqlite3 will not work / install. I have tried installing from the source as recommended by the NPM documentation. I keep getting this error:
web/node_modules/sqlite3/lib/binding/napi-v6-linux-glibc-x64/node_sqlite3.node: invalid ELF header
Apparently this has to do with the binary not matching my system, which it is supposed to after running "npm install -g sqlite3 --build-from-source". Is there a way to install a specific build so that I can simply test all the linux builds to see if I can find a potential match or see if anything works?

Getting error when deploying a Google Cloud Function after Node upgrade

I updated Brew then updated Node from 10.12.0 -> 13.8.0
Now, I get the following error when trying to deploy a Google Cloud Function
firebase deploy --only functions:createJWT

uploading...

Try running "npm install" in your functions directory before
deploying.
Tried npm rebuild and npm install in my functions directory and nothing works
Furthermore...could this issue be due to the fact that GCF Node runtime enviroment is Node10 and I have installed Node13 on my machine? - according to these docs:
https://cloud.google.com/functions/docs/concepts/nodejs-10-runtime
I am struggling to revert back to Node10, have tried by running brew install node#10 and get this:
Then tried running the following command as per output above to symlink it to /usr/local but still no luck
echo 'export PATH="/usr/local/opt/node#10/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bash_profile
Searching around about this error, indeed, this seems that the problem is related to your system waiting for a version and founding another one - as per this part of the error.
Error: Error parsing triggers: Failed to load gRPC binary module because it was not installed for the current system Expected directory: node-v79-darwin-x64-unknown Found: [node-v64-darwin-x64-unknown]
There are some options that you can give it a try, besides trying the npm rebuild. Another option might be updating the package.json - as per this case solved here - that would return your npm version to an old one.
Besides that, on this question in the Community, there are a few solutions that helped other users, that I would recommend you to take a look at it: NodeJs Error - Failed to load gRPC binary module because it was not installed for the current system Expected directory?
Let me know if the information helped you!
Trying to deploy to an unsupported Google Function execution environment won't work. According to the google docs the current supported environments are Node8 and Node10(beta), re-installing Node10 worked for me.

Domino10 appDevPack: "Error: Cannot find module '#domino/domino-db'"

Just installed the latest Domino 10.0.1 Server on my linux machine and also installed and configured the latest proton package. As far as I can tell it's all running fine.
Next I plan to try my first Node-RED flow using the new Domino10 nodes. So I installed the 'node-red-contrib-dominodb' palette.
Finally tried my first very simple flow trying to query node-demo.nsf as it's described here. From what I read there I assumed that it's sufficient to install the palette, but that obviously is not the case:
as soon as I hit 'Deploy' I receive this error:
Error: Cannot find module '#domino/domino-db'
So I thought that I maybe still have to do a global install in node.js using
npm install -g <package-path>/domino-domino-db-1.1.0.tgz
This indeed created a local #domino/domino-db module inside my node.js npm\node_modules folder. But obviously my node-red environment doesn't know about it.
Question is: how do I register / install that npm package for my local node-red environment?
IBM's instructions (https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-contrib-dominodb#Installation)
Say to go view this guide(https://github.com/stefanopog/node-red-contrib-dominodb/blob/master/docs/Using%20the%20new%20Domino%20V10%20NodeRED%20nodes%202.pdf) for installing the domino-db module.
The link is broken, here's an old copy: https://github.com/stefanopog/node-red-contrib-dominodb/blob/a723ef88498c5bfa243abd956a7cc697f0a42610/docs/Using%20the%20new%20Domino%20V10%20NodeRED%20nodes%202.pdf
I believe the section you want is called "Import the tarball". The steps before that require you to unpack and then re-pack the module... which is unnecessary. Just use the tgz that was in the AppDev Pack to begin with.

I’d like to install and require “fs”, ”path”, and “js-yaml” in Windows 10 but only “js-yaml” led to "Error cannot find module "

Nice to meet you. I'm a beginner in computer and these days have enjoyed your sophisticated Q&As here. This is my first question in StackOverFlow. Please forgive me when I use not common notations and unnatural English.
I trid for several hours to install external modules in Node-Red (Node.js ?).
I’d like to install three---“fs”, ”path”, and “js-yaml”--- in Windows 10 but my trouble is that only “js-yaml” resulted in failure although the others can be successfully installed and used.
 I tried the following command…
C:\windows\system32>npm –g install js-yaml
C:\windows\system32>npm –g install fs
C:\windows\system32>npm –g install path
These commands created the modules, but only js-yaml behaved differently from the other two. After adding appropriate keys and properties such as “ fs: require(‘fs’)” to functionGlobalContext in (C:~~~/.node-red/) setting.js, I tried to start Node-Red.
When I commanded
C:\windows\system32> node-red
it returned the following errors only on js-yaml and node-red did not open. It ran successfully when I removed the term “jsyaml: require(‘js-yaml’)” from setting.js.
Error loading C:~~~/.node-red/setteing.js
Error cannot find module “js-yaml”
I’ll list reports which may be related with my problem.
*The other two (fs, path) created the folders only in the directory “C:~~~/npm/node-modules”, but js-yaml created another js-yaml file apart from there in “C:~~~/npm”.
*Perhaps I tried “npm link” command in each directory before install command. And npm link [module name] in C:~~~/.node-red directory.
*I downloaded external module (node-red-contrib-postgres) from github, which may have fs.js and path.js??
*It did not change the result to add “js-yaml” term into “dependency” in (C:~~~/.node-red/) package.json.
*I add C:~~~/npm.node_modules(got by "npm -g bin"command) to enviroment variable "PATH"
I would suggest you install them locally, not globally.
When you install npm modules globally using -g, they are stored under %APPDATA%\npm, which is user-specific, and to which Node Red may not have access, depending on how it's being run.
Have a look at Running on Windows under "Sharing Node-RED between Users" and npm-folders for further info.
Alternatively, you can also put the actual path in functionGlobalContext, which may work for you. Along the lines of:
js-yaml: require(‘/the/path/to/js-yaml’)

Can not find module after installing it

I am trying to install "threepenny-gui", I simply do it by
cabal install threepenny-gui
It is a school project that I have to use it and you can find the start code here.
After I have installed it and run Calculator.hs without changing anything I get the error
ThreepennyPages.hs:13:18:
Could not find module ‘Data.Aeson’
Perhaps you meant Data.Version (from base-4.8.2.0)
Use -v to see a list of the files searched for.
ThreepennyPictures.hs:17:18:
Could not find module ‘Graphics.UI.Threepenny’
Use -v to see a list of the files searched for.
ThreepennyPictures.hs:18:8:
Could not find module ‘Graphics.UI.Threepenny.Core’
Use -v to see a list of the files searched for.
Failed, modules loaded: none.
I read here in section 4.1 that
This happens when you install a package globally, and the previous packages were installed locally.
But does not give any real solution. How should I install it correctly? Have been having similar problems when installing other modules.
