Visual Studio 2012 fullscreen mode with all opened toolbars from non-fullscreen mode? - visual-studio-2012

When I press Shift+Alt+Enter to enter to fullscreen mode, all toolbars like "Solution Explorer" or "Properties" are automatically hidden (there is only toolbar on the top and code editor). It's a bit annoying. I want everything the same as it was before entering to fullscreen. Do you know how to fix that?

At first time not but..
Visual Studio has a couple of running modes, and each of these modes has it’s own memory. So when you’re in Full Screen, Debug, or Normal mode, Visual Studio will remember your window/panel/toolbar locations for that specific session.

Alt+Left/Right behaving strangely Android Studio

I'm told that Alt+Left/Right should navigate between the open tabs in Android Studio, but for some reason I get this kind of behavior when I do multiple tab movements:
After the 3rd/4th (not sure) use of the shortcut the focus goes away from the editor window to the tool window on the left and then the shortcut seems to switch between tabs in there.
I'm using Android Studio 3.4.2, Win 10.
Why is this happening and how can I avoid it?

Android Studio hotkey for "do refactor"

In Android Studio I can start renaming via Shift + F6. Then Android Studio shows me a box telling me about the changes and presents me with a "Do Refactor"-button. When hovering over the button Android Studio shows me no information about a hotkey I could press. Is there a hotkey for that button?
I found that it works with pressing Alt + d.
There shouldn't be a keyboard shortcut for every button.
Usually program developers provide hotkeys just for most used basic functions.
There is Shift+F6 in Android Studio for refactoring and that's the closest option to get the functionality you want.

Releasing the find and replace pane in visual studio 2012

In Visual Studio 2012 the find and replace window has Docking alignment to the top right side, how to release it?
The "quick find" window isn't docked in the usual sense. Press Esc to dismiss it and also make the yellow-orange search result highlighting go away.
Alternatively, click the X in the top right of the mini window.
Edit.Find = docked Find window
Edit.Replace = docked Replace window
Edit.FindinFiles = undocked Find window
Edit.ReplaceinFiles = undocked Replace window
so for undocked windows you can press Ctrl + Shift + F or Ctrl + Shift + H
or alternatively change shortcuts in Options > Environment > Keyboard to reach desired windows easier.
This is not possible unfortunately, which really drives me nuts when trying to find something in a minified file (single line) since the find window commonly blocks the found result.
Last post I could find about it:
https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio-ide/suggestions/3636907-let-me-undock-the-find-and-replace
The best solution I can find is copy and past file into notepad and find there (for my needs).
In Visual Studio 2012 all docked windows can be released as follows;
Docked Window's Header right click menu (or click Window Position Icon what located the far right of the header)> Float menu
If the usual things, as already suggested, won't work, here are two other ideas I have found to work with oddities in Visual Studio.
Disable all plugins and try again (had a weird case of VS crashing on Ctrl+S and it was a faulty plugin)
Try a repair on the install, could have some faulty files.

Disable animation in Visual Studio 2012

When I hit Ctrl-Tab, the "Active Tool Window/Files" pop-up animates into place. Its doing my head in. Unlike VS2005, there is no "Disable Animations" under Tools/Options/Environment, which is the only reference googling turns up.
Is there are way to disable this behavior?
So it turns out this has nothing to do with Visual Studio or Windows. It was a Parallels thing - I'm running VS2012 on a Mac.
http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=262509
Open Tools->Options->General
Uncheck "Automatically adjust visual experience based on client performance"
Uncheck "Enable rich client visual experience"
This toggles the Animations property value in C:\Users\myname\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Settings\CurrentSettings.vssettings to false
It is no longer accessible but the setting still exists in the VS settings file. Close VS2012 first. Locate your settings file, mine is stored in C:\Users\myname\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Settings\CurrentSettings.vssettings
Open the file with a text editor and search for "anim". There's an "AnimationSpeed" setting, mine is 5. And an "Animations" setting, mine is true. Try changing it to false, save and start VS again. Or tinker with the speed, my setting of "5" doesn't do anything that does my head in. So I don't really know how to test if changing these settings has any effect, but you'll quickly find out.
If you see no effect at all then tinker with the Windows animation settings.

Visual studio 2012 - is there a keyboard shortcut to move files from quick view to the open files

I usually click with the mouse on the "Keep open" icon.
Is there a way to do it with the keyboard?
Thanks.
Default Visual Studio 2012 keyboard shortcut for when your cursor is in the preview window:
Ctrl+Alt+Home
It can definitely be modified as JMik describes but that will get someone going quickly. As well, you can also kill the preview system entirely so that all windows open indefinitely and this shortcut becomes unneeded.
Press Ctrl+Q, and type "keyboard" and press Enter to open the "Options->Environment->Keyboard" window.
In "Show commands containing" type "Window.KeepTabOpen", then in the "Press shortcut keys" type your keyboard shortcut and press the "Assign" .
