Missing files in visual studio 2008 project - visual-c++

I am new to Visual Studio and forgive me if my question is trivial.
My collegue gave me recently a copy of his Visual Studio project. On my computer, however, I cannot compile it.
The problem is that I do not have access to the files (source and header files) that are visible in the project explorer. The problem is that the path of theses files is still the same path that my collegue was using.
How can I fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Visual Studio 2015 - Class Wizard in C++

When I right click my project and go to Class Wizard I'm met with the following error:
"The solution's source code database may not have been opened. Please make sure the solution is not open in another copy of Visual Studio, and that its database file is not read only."
What I've tried so far:
Creating a new project
Restarting Visual Studio
Restarting PC
Repairing Visual Studio
Reinstalling Visual Studio
Installing MS SQL Server Compact 3.5
Deleting the folder: C:\Users\Jacob\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0
None of these have had any effect, and I'm finding very few pages online where others have had this issue. I am totally at a loss on what to do next.
If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate them.
It turns out the problem here was actually caused by JetBrains Resharper C++, which I didn't consider could be the problem.
There seems to be no solution, however the program provides an alternative Class Wizard in the same menu.

Open Jint solution correctly

I need to open the Jint solution downloaded from here :
https://github.com/sebastienros/jint
(i've downloaded the zip with all the files, later i decompressed them and then i try to open the solution's file using visual studio)
Visual Studio (both 2012 Express and 2013 Express) tell me that the main project is not compatibile, i have tried Microsoft Visual Studio Version Selector but still not working.
Anybody can tell me why this happen and how i can open and view that solution with all its projects properly loaded?
Here a screen of my situation :
This project targets the Portable Framework. You might need to install the Windows Phone SDK or some other component depending on your version of Visual Studio. Please refer to this page for more details.

Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson.JsonPackage did not load properly

I have visual studio express 2012
and it was working fine earlier I had run my solution once. But now when I do it, there appears a dialog box with the message!
the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson.JsonPackage, Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson package did not load correctly.
the problem may have been caused by a configuration changhe or by installation of another extension. You can get more information by exmamining the file
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VWDExpress\11.0\Log.xml
continue to show this error message?
How do I get rid of this error?
I started to see this on the fresh windows & VS 2013 Ultimate with Update 2 installation.
To resolve the problem, close all Visual Studio instances head over to
C:\Users\<your users name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0\ComponentModelCache
and delete all the files in the folder.
It worked fine for me. Thanks to this article.
Not relevant to VS 2012 express, but I experienced this problem with VS 2013 Premium. I had recently added the productivity power tools extension. To get back up and running, I loaded Visual Studio in safe mode:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE>devenv /safemode
And un-installed the productivity tools. The errors went away.
You need to clear the ComponentModelCache folder or rename it. For Visual Studio 2013, it’s located in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0 folder.

I had Visual Studio 2013 Professional and I got the same error. I couldn't remove it until I repaired VS installation. It took a while but now it works fine.
I had this problem as I had an older version of VS2012 Express (release on Web Platform installer dated 15/08/2012).
Try installing 'Visual Studio 2012 Express for Web (Latest)' with release date 22/10/2012 from the Microsoft Web Platform Installer.
That is all I did and I no longer get those messages.

Where are the database project and item templates in VS2012?

I asked this question about VS2010, because the location changed from where it was in VS2008, and I couldn't find it.
Now they've done it AGAIN!!!
So where is it now?
Why have they done this again? Apparently just to keep us on our toes. Remember that it was under a folder in Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0 called VSTSDB? Well, that folder still exists in VS2012, but it is now vestigial. You have to look in another place. In fact it seems to have been migrated back to where it was in an earlier version of Visual Studio. Look here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Microsoft\SQLDB\Extensions\SqlServer\Items
Talk about a convoluted path.

Visual Studio 2012 says website project's project file is edited outside of environment

After installing Visual Studio 2012 and opening/upgrading a Visual Studio 2010 solution from Team Foundation Server that contains two "website"-type projects I keep getting the message that "The project 'website' has been modified outside the environment" with the option to reload every time I add or remove a file to the "website" project.
This is odd, because as far as I know this type of project does not have a project file and thus it is impossible to edit it, in addition, nobody is editing anything outside of the environment.
Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?
To at least partially answer my own question. You can solve this by closing Visual Studio 2012 and then deleting the .suo file for the solution. It should be sitting right next to the solution file and has the same name.
After deleting this file I reopened the solution and VS2012 went to get the entire solution from TFS again. When it was done, the problem was gone!
