I know similiar question has been asked many times and I already read many of them.
Mine is different.
So I have a website that occasionary need to send email. I'm using PHPMailer with Gmail as SMTP. It's working great but after few days working, it will throw an error: "SMTP Error: Could not authenticate". To solve that, I need to do a manual login. Sometime with captcha. After few days, it will throw the same error.
What happening is Gmail block or temporary disable the account. How to solve this? Or should I use another SMTP (outlook.com ?)
Thank you!
Gmail used to add captcha to prevent bad request to your account .You can fix this issue by following these three simple steps
Disable Captcha Here's https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Create a strong password
Allow your gmail account for less secure app access Here's a link https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapp

I am having a lot of troubles getting verification emails to work, when a user signs up with parse-server (using MailGun & Heroku).
The verification link sent to the user has this form:
https://myapp.herokuapp.com/apps/.............
but it does not work/
I get this, when clicking it:
Cannot GET /apps/.......
And even if I type only this in the web browser:
https://myapp.herokuapp.com/apps/
I still get this:
Cannot GET /apps/
At one point I was suspecting I could have made some confusion between parse-server-mailgun and parse-server-simple-mailgun-adapter (I am in fact not fully aware of the difference between the two), so I tried both but I still got the same kind of error.
Since, I can reach the point where a user account is actually created and a verification email is sent, I suppose I must have only made some detail mistake in my settings; but I can't see where. Any help or relevant hint from some experienced person would be highly apreciated.
In case someone think I should share some code because the explanation above is not enough, please tell me what you need to know to clarifly my point. And I will provide the necessary information.
You should see your publicServerURL to https://myapp.heroku.com/parse
Some email clients consider our emails as a phishing (in Office 365). The only thing that was missing based on the https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=mx was DMARC entry missing.
I've added TXT DNS record like this (TTL 1hr):
v=DMARC1;p=none;pct=100;rua=mailto:postmaster#mydomain.com
Can it resolve the issue? Is there any specific action required to make it work with Mailgun / GoDaddy?
Thanks in advance for any help/info.
Since you have p=none, it won't resolve the issue, you need to inform the mail server to reject the email. Basically, you're just in monitoring mode with p=none.
What that being said, it sounds like you're saying Office 365 is regarding your emails as a phishing attempt. I think you might be hitting their spam filter based on certain keywords. Send an email to yourself and look at the PCL in the email headers in the outlook account and see what it says.
If you don't know how to see view the headers and just want to make it easy, you can use an inbox tester that will show you the headers.
You can also open a ticket with Microsoft and ask them why the PCL is high on your emails. They might be able to assist.

Another good thing to do is to go through this Email Checker Guide, it touches on every aspect of sending email. You might have a mis-configuration someplace that's causing the issue.
new to programming on the web so bear with me.
I've figured out that OAuth2.0 (the authorization protocol used by Gmail) is used for applications where Site A is given permission to information in Site B (in this case Gmail) by User X.
I am trying to create a website that updates when I receive an email from a specific sender. So, I am not using any of my website users' email information. I'm only using my own. I cannot seem to figure out (or even understand at a high level) how to permanently give my website access to my gmail account without doing some kind of user authentication on myself. What is the high-level process for giving my website this permanent authentication?
Let me know if I can make this clearer. Thank you in advance!
I've never done what you are trying to do, but you may find some useful answers here :)
Getting e-mail ID of sender while fetching mails from Gmail
I hope this helps if not I'm sorry. :)
UPDATE:
After reading that link a little bit more there are parts of it where they are getting the sender. You can always write a code to compare the sender by implementing what you need from that link. :)
I need some advice on setting up merchant account in google.
When I try to set up merchant account, account signing up page shows me an error.
The error code is shown as "An error occurred {"type":"PLATFORM_ERROR", "payload":"0"}"
I've tried to resolve this issue with Google support team, but they keep sending me general information and manual..
Please give me suggestions on this issue. (I already finished developing my commercial application, but can't set the price because of this issue. )
Thanks in advance.
I had the same issue.
What I did to resolve it was to flush the browser cookies, history and cache. After that, I opened a new browser tab and logged in to my Google Wallet account (the one I set up previously to BUY apps on the play store). As I was logging in, I noticed there was some error but it quickly resolved itself - I successfully logged in and could see what I previously bought.
After that, I closed and re-opened my Google Dev Console, and tried to setup a Merchant Account again and it worked.
I experienced the same problem and I finish solved changing my address length, uou can't use more than 64 characters. see https://stackoverflow.com/a/21412790/2359141
clear cache and everything by using ctl+alt+delete
keep only one tab
Select proper product type , I selected Computer software its worked for me
Do sign out and login in wallet google
I found the solution.
You just have to let the VAT number empty during registration, fill it later.
It worked for me.
I got the payload error as well, what resolved my problem was changing my PO Box address to a physical address. Google chat support figured it out.
I am trying to import the contact list from gmail using libgmailer.php but I am getting this error.
Fail to connect because: Gmail: Invalid request. (libgmailer: Gmail seems to have changed the URL again.)
Can anyone tell me what iam doing wrong.
thanks
Google has an API to get the information now. http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/ Trying to screen-scrape the data is, at best, obsolete.
