Crystal report Invoking Error in Visual studio 2012 - visual-studio-2012

I am developing WinForms Application using vb.net in visual studio 2012. And I have downloaded SAP crystal report for Visual Studio 2012 to take the reports from my application.
So i downloaded the following two files.
1) (SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio SP5 - MSI 32bit) CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_5.msi from http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-35074
2) Crystal report Installer file CRforVS_13_0_5.exe
After Installing the first file I got references in visual studio 2012 as :
I dont Know which reference should be included to create crystal reports in VS.
And I installed Second file also. It Installed Successfully and i found the crystalreportviewer in Reporting tab of toolbox. I Selected that tool and i choose create new report. That time I am getting the error like :
Error Invoking 'Create a new Crystal report...' Details: Can't resolve strongly report class at design time.
What does this mean?
what is the solution to this ? Sorry I am new to crystal reports. Thanku....

Uninstall the CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_5.msi and CRforVS_13_0_5.exe packages, then install only CRforVS_13_0_5.exe.
Inside the exe there are the designer for Visual Studio and the runtimes files (the same contained in CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_5.msi)
There is no need to include libraries reference when generating a new report, but if you use the CrystalReportViewer you'll have to include:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
CrystalDecisions.ReportSource
CrystalDecisions.Shared
CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms

To create a new Crystal Report, in your VS solution explorer, right-click on your solution and choose "Add". In the resulting window, click on "Reporting" in the Installed Templates" and choose "Crystal Report". Give the report a name and click "Add". The new report will be added to your solution and the report wizard will start.

Could not find type 'Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon.RibbonTab' error prevents designer from opening

I have a VSTO for Excel project with a custom ribbon tab. The solution builds without errors. I can run the solution. It launches Excel and displays the custom ribbon tab and task pane without any issue.
When I try to open the designer for the custom ribbon tab in Visual Studio 2019, I get the following error:
Could not find type 'Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon.RibbonTab'. Please
make sure the assembly that contains this type is referenced. If this
type is a part of a development project, make sure that the project
has been successfully built using the settings for your current
platform or Any CPU.
The solution builds and runs without any issues.
When I expand the error info, There is no stack trace or error line information available for this error.
The build settings are set to 'Any CPU'.
The assemblies that contain 'Microsoft.Office.Tools.Ribbon.RibbonTab' are included in the project references. These are Microsoft.Office.Tools.Common and Microsoft.Office.Tools.Common.v4.0.Utilities.
I have tried to Clean, Rebuild, and Restart Visual Studio 2019. This had no effect.
I could not find anything definitive when I Check Windows Forms Design-Time error list.
Would anyone know how to address this issue so that I can open the custom ribbon in the designer?
Is VSTO still supported by Microsoft? All documentation appears to be several years old.
This is a Visual Studio issue, not a C#/Build/DLL linkage issue.
Make sure your Visual Studio setup (do the Modify in the installer (#1) if already installed) has these two components checked:
Is VSTO still supported by Microsoft?
They are moving to an online office365 addin (my words) type VSTO. As to new features, not recently. One can still put in a Visual Studio support ticket if you have the right subscription.
I have never had any issues with ribbons, but sometimes the winforms res files in designer do not show and I use the JetBrains Rider editor to view those controls when VS fails.

Deployment of Visual Studio Add-in in VS 2012

I have created Visual studio add-in successfully. But I am confused to deploy this addin in another computers.I have go throgh the stackoverflow answers. But I did not get clear cut idea about this matter
You just need to copy YourAddIn.dll and YourAddIn.AddIn files to "c:\Users\username\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Addins\" folder on another computer. To create an installer you can start with Wix Template For VS2012 Addin Project.
Deploying an add-in requires to copy the add-in dll(s) to some folder and create a XML .AddIn file in a predefined folder where VS can locate it where a entry of the XML file points to the add-in assembly.
For articles about the prefedined folders for .AddIn files and about creating a setup see the "Articles about installing and uninstalling" section of my web site:
http://www.visualstudioextensibility.com/articles/add-ins/
To troubleshoot problems loading add-ins see my article:
HOWTO: Troubleshooting Visual Studio and Office add-ins
Visual Studio is a 32-bit executable, so the add-in dll and dependencies must be 32-bit.

Create a setup file in Visual Studio 2012

I have a windows form project and I want to create an installation package for this project. How can I create a setup file in Visual Studio 2012 ? My project is without data base.
How to create a Setup package using Visual Studio 2012.NET?
Microsoft released the Visual Studio Installer Project extension in April of this year, the catch is it's for VS2013, not VS2012.
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudio/archive/2014/04/17/visual-studio-installer-projects-extension.aspx
The 'lite' InstallShield option remains in VS if you need something with more flexibility.
Advanced Installer also has a free version that includes an extension for VS. This is a commercial tool but the extension is included in the free edition as I said, for more advanced features you need to purchase a Professional or higher licenses and edit the project direct from Advanced Installer GUI, not from VS. (but you can still use the project in the VS solution, so you get the MSI built at the end of your build process)
Visual Studio setup projects (vdproj) are not supplied with VS 2012
There are several solutions for you:
You could use InstallShield instead.
If you don't want or
can't use InstallShield for any reason, you could try WiX. This
toolset builds Windows installation packages from XML source code.
If you only use Windows Presentation Foundation (.xbap), Windows Forms (.exe), console application (.exe), or Office solution (.dll) you could look at ClickOnce. To use this you should right click on the project file in the solution explorer and select "Publish" from the pop-up menu.
Alternatively you can use previous version of Visual Studio (2010).

Crystal report .rpt file in visual studio 2012 shows binary format instead of design

We developed an application in visual studio 2010 and reports are working fine, when we choose to open the same application through visual studio 2012 Ultimate, reports are not working and when i open .rpt file showing binary format ad also I could not find Crystalreport.rpt in Reporting template in visual studio 2012. After googling it, I have installed
CRforVS_redist_install_32bit_13_0_5 , but doesn't work.
How can i change or edit .rpt file design using visual studio 2012 and want to change the .rpt database name too. Any suggestion or idea to achieve this?
I had the same problem after installing visual studio 2012 and found no answer on the forums. I uninstalled CR yesterday and downloaded again the CRForVS 13.0.5 from here just in case there was a bug in the previous version I downloaded in may and installed it. Then I installed update 3 for Visual studio and everything works fine now.
Cheers
Michael
I figure this one out for me.
From SAP Crystal Reports's download site:
Please note: To integrate "SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft > Visual Studio" you must run the Install Executable. Running the MSI will not ? >fully integrate Crystal Reports into VS. MSI files by definition are for runtime >distribution only.
By default Windows 10 does not install the 3.5 framework, CR for VS still needs >it. Select it by "Turn Windows feature on or off" and choose both options.
I downloaded the exe, instead of the MSI packages, and it worked for me finally. Helps to read I guess.

WSPBuilder for vs 2012

I am new to SharePoint 2013. I am using trial version vs 2012. I want to use the WSPBuilder to develop the web parts. I have install the WSPBuilder and it is not showing in vs 2012.
I have used the below link but not solved the issue.
http://gblsharepoint.blogspot.in/2013/01/using-wspbuilder-with-visual-studio-2012.htm
I have done the copy and past the "Microsoft Visual Studio" and "Microsoft Visual Studio Macros" hot applications and given the version as "11.0". It is working.
Can any one help me
WSP Builder had it's use back in the SharePoint 2007 days, where Visual Studio had no support for SharePoint packages.
Ever since the release of Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012 there is no real need for WSP Builder anymore.
In order to use Visual Studio 2012 with SharePoint 2013 you will have to install an additional package though. To install it, launch the Web Platform Installer (or download the installer if it's not on your server from http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx). In the installer, search for SharePoint. From the results, install Microsoft Office Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2012.
Launch Visual Studio and when you create a new project/solution you should see a Office/SharePoint category. Underneath there, pick the SharePoint Solutions category. If you just want to create a single webpart in a WSP file, then the easiest is to pick the "SharePoint 2013 - Visual Web Part" project item. That will set you with a project containing a feature, a visual webpart that you can extend with your own code, etc. Build the webpart and you will end up with a WSP file in your debug/release folders that you can deploy to your server (or by simply pressing F5 it will automatically deploy it to the farm / site you specified when creating the project).
If you use F5 to deploy, don't forget to add the webpart to a page after deployment as Visual Studio will not do that for you (Edit a page, switch to the insert tab in the ribbon, pick your webpart. Your webpart will be under the 'custom' category if you don't modify the elements.xml file of the webpart).
