Is Media Foundation supported on Windows 2012 64 bit server? We can not have Windows 7 or Windows 8 as the server and that's the reason we are opting for Windows 2012 server.
As NAudio 1.7 is released now, we would like to utilize the new functionality with Media Foundation.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can install the Media Foundation components on Windows Server 2012.
Use the Add Roles and Features wizard from the Server Manager. Skip through to Features and select Media Foundation.

Also if you are using Windows Server 2008 R2 you can Add Features from Server Manager and then Select "Desktop Experience"

How do I install SQL Server 2016 onto my newly configured virtual machine on Azure?
I want the developer version to practice queries etc. The VM works fine but I can't administer it.
You can get it from the microsoft website
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssms/download-sql-server-management-studio-ssms
this answer is a bit misleading, why don't you create a vm with SQL already installed? that way you save time + don't break licensing agreement

I'm not fortunate to give modern Operating System "currently" and so my current situation is
Window 7 Enterprise I do have admin access
Visual Studio 2013 , 2015
IIS 7.5 / IIS Express 10
I have tried uninstalling IIS and IIS express but I end up with issues around permissions with the IIS metabase. I have tried many solutions and hacks and this is the longest I have ever spent on something with IIS and permissions.
I do have a feeling that a lot of this is related to the domain that I'm on, along with %USERProfile% and settings that are to network drives that I do not even have access to.
I had the same issue on Windows 2012.
It was a file access issue to %systemroot%\System32\inetsrv\config

How can i download and use Microsoft Edge in Windows 8.1 ?
No. you can't.
Microsoft Edge is not a standalone browser (as of now). I've also tried many a times for some alternative but no..
I've tried finding the setup file of this browser from the Windows 10 installed OS but couldn't.
ps. In future it might be available.
For more info, you can join this conversation on Quora
A standalone version is not available. And Microsoft has no plans of releasing the edge browser on other versions of Windows besides 10 or any other platforms for that matter.
So to answer your question, you can't.
You can use a virtual machine if you want to use Edge on Windows.
You can read about this here.

I got 2 websites in my IIS.
When I'm trying to link ColdFusion and IIS, ColdFusion web server tool don't see my websites.
You can see it in the image.
My ColdFusion version is 11 Enterprise Edition, IIS version 6.1, Windows server 2008 rc2 operating system.
I'm working on Oracle Virtualbox.
Known CF11 bug. You need to install the Microsoft C++ 2008 x64 SP1 Redistributable (or x86 if you're running 32bit).
The Visual C++ redistributable package is missing. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86/x64) and then try again.

Hi I have installed Visual Studio 2012 Express Desktop. I am not sure if the sql server software that that came with Visual Studio 2012 Express Desktop is serverless or not. I have installed this at work and don't want a server installed on my computer because I am sure it opens ports which will be a security issue at work. Do you know if it is serverless?
Yes. There is definitely a server involved.
You don't need to worry about ports being opened though. Assuming you have a Firewall blocking the ports, the installation of SQL Server Express won't modify that without your permission.
