Hide main menu items in Visual Studio 2012 - visual-studio-2012

Is there any way to selectively hide menu items in Visual Studio 2012?
I found this post:
Visual Studio 2012 Toolbars
but this isn't it what I want.
I would like to hide some of the items like "Architecture" and "Test" etc.

In Visual Studio 2012: Tools->Customize->Commands. Then select the menu item you don't want and hit Delete.

I think you may want to look at Hide Main Menu
After installing this extension, Visual Studio's main menu will
collapse when not in use (using the same behavior as Windows Explorer
and Internet Explorer). To use the menu, simply press and release the
Alt key, or press and release Alt+ to directly show a menu
(e.g. Alt+F to show the file menu). The menu bar will automatically
hide again once you're finished using it.
To disable this feature after installing, use Tools\Extension Manager
to disable or uninstall the extension (of course, you'll have to use
Alt+T to show the Tools menu if the extension is enabled).
For selectively hiding the option go to Tools->Customize->Commands and then delete the option which you want.

How to return item to context menu in Android Studio

In my Android Studio, when I have a cursor on the regular exprssion and if I click Alt + Enter I see a context menu like this
There was an item Check Regexp or something like this but I click accidentaly Disable... and it disappeared. Tell me please where can I find it in android studio to make it return back.
Those menu items are called Intention Actions.
To configure intention settings using the Settings/Preferences dialog
Open the Settings / Preferences Dialog by pressing Ctrl+Alt+S or by choosing File | Settings for Windows and Linux or IntelliJ IDEA | Preferences for macOS, and click Intentions under Editor.
In the Intentions page, clear the checkboxes of the intention actions or action c1ategories that you do not currently need.
Selecting or clearing a category affects all intention actions in this category.
Apply changes and close the dialog.

"Save as Live Template" menu item disappeared in android studio?

I am running Android Studio 1.3.2. Under the Tools menu I used to have "Save as Live Template" item (just above Save File as Template). But now it is gone and I can't make live templates. How do I get the menu item back?
I managed to get it back. Here's how (Observe that the Preferences menu on Mac might be called something else on other platforms, like Settings or similar).
Go to Preferences/Appearance & Behavior/Menus and Toolbars/Main menu/Tools/Tools Basic Group
Select "Save File as template..."
Click on Move Up button.
Click on OK button.

VS2012 : where is custom toolbar command SyncWithActiveDocument?

In Visual Studio 2012, you can create customized toolbars and edit their contents (usually button shortcuts to some IDE commands).
I would like to add the SolutionExplorer.SyncWithActiveDocument command to one of my toolbars, but cannot find it in the list of commands available for addition to the toolbar. In which category is it located? Or is it a command not supported by the toolbar system?
I don't think you can use SyncWithActiveDocument as a command - it is a manual sync that is only active when turning off "Track Active Item in Solution Explorer" in Project and Solutions -> General.
Looking at it this way, is like trying to add auto-sync to a toolbar.

Where is my "Recent Projects and Solutions" option?

I recently installed Visual Studio 2012, and I've been banging my head against my desk looking for missing options.
I use the Recent Projects and Solutions menu option (under the File menu) a lot in Visual Studio 2010, but don't have anything like that in Visual Studio 2012. However, my boss does, so I know there's something wrong with my install or an option I've missed.
I've casually looked through registry settings for anything like "Project" that exists in my 2010 settings but does not exist in my 2012 settings, and came up empty handed. Does anyone know how to fix this?
It looks like some part of the upgrade process just removed this menu option for me. Following nithins link to this question, I followed the instructions the author created to re-create the Recent Projects and Solutions menu item.
For posterity, those steps were (performed in Visual Studio 2012):
Under the Tools menu, click Customize...
Click the Commands tab.
Change the Menu bar selected option in the drop-down list to File.
Click Add New Menu.
Click Modify Selection, rename to Recent Projects and Solutions.
Under the Menu bar drop-down list, select File | Recent Projects and Solutions.
Click Add Command...
(The Add Command menu should appear here.)
Under Categories on the left-hand side, click File.
When the Commands list (on the right-hand side) refreshes, click Recent Project list, and click OK.
Click Close.
Happy project switching!
I had the exact same problem, but I had the sense that other menu items were missing as well.
What I did was go into Tools => Import & Export Settings, choose Reset all settings, and then select the same profile as when I installed Visual Studio. (General Development Settings.) That fixed the issue.
