I just noticed this commit: 6dbc2fae4dac29c891a67d09aa36ea7426a48051
https://github.com/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.Text/commit/6dbc2fae4dac29c891a67d09aa36ea7426a48051
What implications will this have on people currently using ServiceStack for free?
If the ServiceStack project is indeed looking to move to licensed product, when is it likely to happen?
There are several posts on the community page that explain the licensing of v3 and v4 and timelines.
An alpha (oct 14, oct 21) of v4 is already released if you want to take a look at the new bits. A beta is targeting the end of November 2013.

I currently use CodePush for my Cordova app. Love it. Microsoft is moving it to AppCenter, and here's the migration guide.
The migration guide notes that the old CLI will be retired in October 2018:
we are commited to maintain the CLI through September 2018. You are free to continue using the CLI, but all features besides release and viewing metrics will be disabled in Late March 2018. Finally, the CodePush CLI will be retired in Mid October 2018.
My question is if this plan is still accurate? I know the original plan was to make a new Cordova SDK in February 2018, which was pushed back and no ETA is known. Is the old CodePush CLI still going to be retired in October? From what I can tell core things (like getting install metrics) are still not available in the new CLI. I really don't want to use the AppCenter CLI for some things and log into the AppCenter UI for others.
I don't believe a new CodePush SDK is going to be made available. It is also not on their roadmap:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/appcenter/general/roadmap
This image used to be on the AppCenter website showing that the CLI will be deprecated starting with reduced functionality in favor of the AppCenter UI.
I watched the stream from TechEd 2014 for the Future of Asp .Net and I saw that they could run vnext projects in MAC. In the Github project doesn't say anything about this feature.
So My questions is how does someone goes about publishing and running the HelloWeb or HelloMVC samples on a MAC.
I noticed that Hanselman and David fowler were using a custom copy of Nowin names Nowin.K is this library going to be release as an example anywhere?
UPDATE
Currently what was shown on teched was a internal build put together show case the direction of the product. The team at microsoft together with the community are working hard to get the asp.net vnext working on linux and osx.
If you want to find out the current status check out on Issue 173 on github.com/aspnet/kruntime.
Once the support in integrated I will update this post and add answer explain how to go about it.

There is now updated support for ASP.NET 5 on OS X and *nix. The best information is on the ASP.NET Home Repo on GitHub that has a "Getting Started" section.
For OS X the Homebrew repo is here: https://github.com/aspnet/homebrew-k
For *nix the Docker repo is here: https://github.com/aspnet/aspnet-docker

It seems that you've found the discussion on the ASP.NET vNext "KRuntime" repo. Unfortunately the team is still in the midst of getting ASP.NET vNext working on Mac / Linux. What was shown at Tech Ed was live running code but using a lot of custom builds (e.g. Mono, as well as ASP.NET vNext). The team has been coordinating work with Miguel de Icaza to ensure that Mono has the required components for ASP.NET vNext. A lot of progress has been made, and it's getting very close, but it's not quite there.
As of the year 2015, the the post below is outdated.
A post has come out: ASP.NET vNext on OSX and Linux I will give it a shot, see if I can run HelloMvc on Ubuntu 14.04
I think what you might be looking for is Mono. Described as:
Cross platform, open source .NET framework
Mono is an open source implementation of Microsoft's .NET Framework based on the ECMA standards for C# and the Common Language Runtime. A growing family of solutions and an active and enthusiastic contributing community is helping position Mono to become the leading choice for development of cross platform applications.
Currently searching for CRM 2011 SDK always seems to yield this download page, which is the most current version of the SDK (As of this post, its version 5.0.13 for rollup 12). We are going to be installing rollup 11, on our prod boxes this month. I'd like to get the previous version of the SDK, but have been unable to find it. Does anyone happen to have a link to the 5.0.12 version of the SDK?
I had to downgrade recently and used this link. And I'm not sure if a newer version is recommended. Definitely not UR12.
And for UR11, it's probably this link.
Is that what you're looking for?
Is there a best practice for versioning SharePoint features?
Our SharePoint product gets a release every 3-6 months, and we need a way of clearly differentiating between the new version and the old version. We also need to support simultaneous installations of the new and old feature so that clients may test the new stuff before deploying it.
Versioning Features is not supported in Sharepoint 2007. In Sharepoint 2010 you can Version Features like you normally would version assemblies.
See the following post for more details: Feature Versioning and Upgrades in SharePoint 2010
Here is a excellent webcast by Jeremy Thake on feature versiong and upgrade :

Check out chapters 8 and 9 of our free SharePoint development guidelines. We have been using this strategy successfully for the last few years in both SP2007 and SP2010.
I have a project built around Subsonic 3.0.0.3 and have run into the dreaded medium trust issue, can anyone tell me is there a way I can mod the code myself to get this working or what the expected timescale for 3.1 version is? Its looking increasingly like I will have to ditch subsonic to get my system running
Regards
Mike
No timeframe for SubSonic 3.1 (or 3.0.0.4), but here are the current plans: http://groups.google.com/group/subsonicproject/browse_thread/thread/caae09418ce4d975/
The SubSonic Google discussion group is the best place to find out about the current development happenings for SubSonic.
Short answer, as soon as possible.
Long answer, there's a number of things planned for 3.1 these include (but are not necessarily limited to):
Oracle support
MediumTrust support
Automatic mapping of collections in SimpleRepository
These are all in development right now but before they become the main focus we need to get version 3.0.0.4 out the door with fixes for a lot of the outstanding issues listed on github. There's also a lot of more boring work going on behind the scenes which should make regular and stable releases easier.
The current release schedule is:
Version 3.0.0.4 - 22nd March 2010
Version 3.1 - 22nd May 2010
