I have installed the Widgetkit module to joomla 2.5 and it is working, however when I try to make a slideshow the html editor does not appear to actually add content to the slideshow, I have a html editor enabled on global configuration (TinyMCE) also tried another editor but still no joy. Any ideas why this is happening?
Try to use JCE.
If it's still not working then go to JCE preferences and change there editor appearing in different places of admin panel.

I'm trying to learn about google chrome extensions so from this question I went to this tutorial.
I followed the instructions but both the change of the page's color when clicking the button and the options page don't work.
To make sure I didn't missed anything I downloaded the completed extension but I got the same result.
Why does it not change the page's color when I click the button on the popup and when I go to the extension's options the page is blank? Is the tutorial obsolete/has something wrong in the code that wasn't updated? Can it be fixed/how?
The only related questions I have seen seem to be old when the example extension/tutorial was different.
This bug is tracked here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=827804
It seems that the scripts have some errors.
I have uploaded fixed scripts to the bugtracker.
You can try them.
For a VSCode extension i want open browser within VSCode not externally, wherein i can load some URL (https://developers.redhat.com/)
I tried looking into various options to achieve it in VScode extension, what i came across is with help of webview i.e 'vscode.previewHtml' we can pass html content which would be rendered with in VSCode editor tab, but what i have is url to load. Can pass it to iframe but i can't open it in iframe
Another option is to open it in browser but it opens external browser.
what i need is to open a browser within IDE (VSCode), experience should be similar to what we get for 'vscode.previewHtml'
or as we see in IDEs like eclipse where browser window is opened right inside IDE.
As we can see below
Please give inputs, suggestions
It's possible now without extension. Open command palette (CTRL+P) and search for "Simple Browser: Show".
This is how it looks:
In order to render your html you can use the WebView API:
https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/extensions/webview
Microsoft has an extension in development, Live Preview. I use it to view html codecov reports inside of VSCODE and it at least works for that.
You just search for it in extensions and add it to VSCODE
Auto Save or Prompt before navigating away from text editors in Kentico CMSDesk not working. I already set the Settings -> Content Management -> Prompt to save changes on exit to checked, but didn't work. Can somebody help me.
-Thanks in advance
What I would suggest is to enable the developer tools in chrome or firebug in firefox and check, if there are any javascript errors in your pages. it's possible that some custom javascript interferes with this check. Check for any errors and try to resolve them. Or, as a test, try creating a completely blank page in the content tree, with only an editable region and disable any master page inheritance so there won't be any custom code used on your page and test, if it works there. If it does, then keep adding your scripts and test to see which component or script is causing the issue. Also make sure your settings are enabled on a site level in the settings application.
Which version and hotfix do you use? I suppose you are using v7 (or less - because of CMSDesk). Please note there were some bug fixes related to prompt in CMSDesk (eg. in 7.0.80).
Content editing - The ‘Prompt to save changes on exit’ setting didn’t work correctly
You can find more information about hotfixes and fixed bugs here.
edit: after additional info (screen from your console) I think you have registered your own jquery and you don`t have registered it in no conflict mode. Can you agree? Could you register your jquery in nonconflict mode and try the prompt behavior again?
I just saw jsFiddle today and am wondering that is there a FireFox addon that provides jsFiddle like features. Especially when you enter the html and css, jsFiddle shows you a layout of the page. Is there any addon that shows such layout for "offline viewing"? I use Firebug but there isn't such layout. Does somebody know about it?
Not a firefox add-on, only in the interest of self-promotion:
I have created a Vim script with similar (but at the moment very limited) functionality: vimfiddler. Vim integrates with selenium to drive a browser. Provides a jsfiddlerish experience running locally on your own computer.
In Google Chrome you can edit every element of the page. Just open a new tab, hit F-12 and edit to your heart's desire. Add some css or javascript to the head tags, put whatever HTML you want in the body, and you're good to go.
This add-on sounds like what you need : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/devtools-prototyper/?src=ss
Just install it, open the devtools, then switch to the "Prototyper" tab.
I'm new to Dreamweaver CS4 and making my first website. I've watched a lot of tutorials and they all just click the Preview in Browser button and they can see what their page looks like in Firefox/IE/etc.
But when I click Preview in Browser a new Firefox window opens up and it goes to my homepage and that's it.
What do I need to setup in order be able to preview in firefox?
THANKS!
I don't use Dreamweaver, although I have it as part of CS4. But I just now opened up the app, created a test HTML page, saved it, and hit F12 (Preview in Browser). And there was my test page. I honestly don't know what you could be doing wrong. I thought it might be that you didn't save your file, but you get a warning dialog if you try to preview without doing that.
After some playing around I fixed the problem myself.
First I had to go to manage site and edit the basic preferences on my website.
I had to make sure the 'URL to browse to the root of your site" is valid.
In my case it I had to add:
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Linda/My%20Documents/website1/
