SharePoint 2013 Document Library will not open in Explorer on 2008 server - windows-server-2008-r2

I have a site running SharePoint 2013 on Windows 2012. I can open the document library in IE, then in Windows Explorer from my Windows 7 machine. When I try to do the same from a Windows 2008 server with IE 9 I get a username/password prompt (when I try to Open With Explorer). This had worked at some point. The 2008 server has DesktopExperience installed and WebClient running. Any other ideas?

Can't connect to Team Foundation Server Express

I installed Team Foundation Server Express 2012 on a windows 8.1 machine and was connecting to it via another Visual Studio 2013 on another windows 8.1 machine for my personal development projects. However recently I am unable to connect to TFS and I have no idea why. TFS appears to be running -- i just am unable to connect to it. I removed the server from Visual Studio and attempt to re-add it and get a TF31002. Any ideas on how to diagnose this issue?

Install VS 2013 on the hyper-v that your SharePoint server is installed on. run VS 2013 from inside the hyper-v and you should now be local with your SharePoint server.
Good luck

Sharepoint is installed but still get the error "Sharepoint server must be installed on this computer"

I am a newbie and I have installed Win server 2003, SP 2007 and VS 2010 for creating a web part. However, when I try creating a web part, it says
A sharepoint Server is not installed on this computer. A Sharepoint server must be installed to work with Sharepoint projects
Please help!!!
It's because the out-of-the-box Visual Studio 2010 templates are meant for SharePoint 2010 development. If you want to use Visual Studio 2010 for SharePoint 2007 development, you cannot use these templates.

VS 2010 installed but i have share point server 2010 in my remote machine

I have VS 2010 installed and i have share point server 2010 in my remote machine. So is it possible to do share point 2010 development in VS 2010 without having share point 2010 server on same machine?? Currently it is prompting me and giving message that share point server should be installed. Is there any hack to get out of this.
Thanks in advance !!

It is possible but you won't be able to use the tooling in Visual Studio. You'll have to build, deploy and test everything manually.
Instructions on how to do this can be found in Chapter 2 of Inside SharePoint Foundation 2010
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff798298.aspx#InsideSP14_Ch2_DSS
If you wish to use the Visual Studio 2010 tooling for SharePoint development, you'll need to install SharePoint 2010 on your development box. Instructions on how to do so can be found here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee554869(office.14).aspx
No you can not do the development unless untill you have visual studio installed on server hosting SharePoint. You can use Window7 or Windows 2008 server with sharepoint installed on them

Install Visual Studio Extensions for Windows Sharepoint Services 1.3 on XP

I'm trying to setup an enviroment to develop in SharePoint.
I have XP with Visual Studio 2008 Profesional, on XP I have a virtual Windows Server 2003 where I install Share Point Services 3.0.
On XP I want to install Visual Studio Extensions for Windows Sharepoint Services 1.3, I have already modified the registry like http://fernandof.wordpress.com/2008/02/11/how-to-install-the-sharepoint-2007-vs-2005-extensions-on-a-workstation/ mention.
But when I try to run the set up I received the following error
I google for this error and found that I must install it using the msiexec /i option, but the error continues.
My question is can I install this on an xp machine?
XP isn't supported.

You'll have to setup a VM to do SharePoint development on XP.
Now if you're adventurous you can try this:
http://mkdot.net/blogs/zzl/archive/2008/06/18/install-vs-2005-2008-extensions-for-sharepoint-on-windows-xp-vista-os.aspx
I'd recommend a server 2003/2008 VM for SharePoint development though.
