I need to know the name of the font used in the freelancer.com logo? I tried to find out using WhatTheFont but without success.
I really need this font name.
Thanks to everybody.
WhatTheFont has a forum where you can post a graphic containing the font in question and (with luck) get responses from actual people who may be able to identify it.

I am using OpenType.js to generate SVG from strings, by default the alignment is set to left, which works most of the time, but occasionally I have some texts that need to be center/right aligned.
I checked the web and there is very little on this subject, so I was wondering if anyone has ever looked into this in the past and can give me a hint on how I can get center/right alignment.
EDIT
I ended up using fabric js to achieve the above.
I am working on a Kivy(Python) Project and I need to display approval(✓) and cross(X) symbol in different scenario. I can display cross symbol but unable to display other one. Is there any way to do this ? Thanks.
Note: I have tried, writing text:'✓' and text:u'2713' under Label in .kv file but it doesn't work.
The font supplied with Kivy doesn't include the tick mark. You need to use fonts that include those symbols. Tick is available in fonts Arial Unicode MS, Wingdings and Wingdings 2. You can download the font ttf file and have it in the same folder with your script.
Link to download the font
https://www.download-free-fonts.com/details/88978/arial-unicode-ms
Then include the font and use it in the label as follow:
Label:
font_name:'arial-unicode-ms.ttf'
text: "This is the tick ✓"
Bro I was also troubling from same problem from morning but now I figured it out actually so I would like to share it with you.I used below code:
def wrong_btn(self):
self.ids.wrong_button.text = u"⌫" self.ids.wrong_button.font_name=r"C:\Users\95532\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts\Arial-Unicode-MS.ttf"
I used this to specify the folder in which the font is stored so you can also download the font you want and just specify the path and don't forget use a r i.e raw string mark or else it wont work I wasted my whole day searching for that hope this helps you bro
I need to display both color coded states and cities on a US map.
Is this possible with Google geocharts?
http://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/geochart#Configuration_Options
Basically what I'm looking for is a way to mix the regions and markers display modes.
If not, any alternate options to achieve this?
I also answered a similar question here, but here it goes again:
Regions and Markers wont work at the same time. So if you want to color the background of the states, using markers mode, you can do it with CSS.
I'm documenting some examples for a Wordpress plugin i developed here: http://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/advanced-customization/
Check the last example. It's not easy, since you have to find which child path number you want to color, and then you can do it. Example:
#visualization path:nth-child(5) {
fill:#cccccc;
}
Here's an example, forkerd from another user, with the CSS above: http://jsfiddle.net/cmoreira/Jqkjg/
Hope it helps!
No, this is impossible with GeoCharts. I would recommend you to try jVectorMap library for that.
Is there a quick way to change all text containers so that the anti-alias setting is "Use Device Fonts"?
I am using Flash CS5, and need to convert about 300 animations, each with 20 or more text boxes, so that they use device fonts. This is necessary so that we can more easily display traditional Chinese characters.
I can go through each text box, change the font to _sans and it automatically switches to Use Device Font - then I don't need to embed the font files. So I tried to use the Find and Replace tool to change the font on all text boxes. It worked fine at changing the fonts, but it did not auto-switch the anti-alias. Any help on this would save hours of work.
Thanks.
Hopefully you're not too far into your work on this one, but there's a new development with CS5 that will help you with just this. It's called the .xfl format, and all .fla's are actually this format, but zipped up. Have a read here for more info: http://blog.theflashblog.com/?p=1986
What this means is you can convert your fla to xfl (or just change the suffix to .zip and unzip as the above article suggests), and do a Find&Replace on all text field font values.
Hope that helps!
I've recently been getting into using sifr as a healthy alternative to generating text as image using php. I've got a question about underlining text, for a website design I need to be able to specify the thickness of the underline and the distance from the text, is there any way to accomplish this with sifr? If not, is there a way to be able to solve this with css? I've been trying to get my head around it, but since I haven't found a way to get the exact width of the sifr text, I'm doubting whether it's possible at all.
Any thoughts on this? They're much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Thijs.
I suspect that Flash renders a fake underline, and no, you can't change how it looks. The only option would be to render a border underneath the Flash movie using HTML & CSS, but I don't that'll work very well.
With sIFR 3, if you specify the fitExactly: true option in the replacement, the Flash movie will be the same width as the internal text.
