I'm trying to configure the Mylyn Gitlab Connector for Eclipse Oxygen v4.7.1a but when I try to add a new task it throws me an exception and it does not let me continue with the creation of the new task.
Enter correctly my data and the url address of the gitlab repository and even probe with several url and with all of them throw me the same exception.

Right click on Mylyn repository and select Repository -> Properties
Expand Additional Settings and check "Use private token"

I just downloaded the Jenkins WAR, version 1.651.1. I’m trying to set it up on my Amazon Linux box. I’m running Java 1.7. I moved the WAR into its own directory, /usr/share/java/jenkins, and then set JENKINS_HOME to be that directory. Then I ran the command listed here — https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Starting+and+Accessing+Jenkins. Looked so simple on the web site. But I got the below error:

I think it is a permission related issue.
I guess the user and group owner isset to a different user than what jenkins was trying to run as. Try to set it correctly with:
$sudo chown -R <jenkins_user><jenkins_group> /usr/share/java/jenkins/

I had exactly the same issue. Unable to change the user, I changed the hosted port by appending --httpPort=9090 to my java run command.
$ java -jar /usr/share/java/jenkins/jenkins.war --httpPort=9090
My two cents: not only must be jenkins user be the owner of $JENKINS_HOME, it looks like it also has to be the owner of jenkins.war (not just have access to it). Found out the hard way while configuring sytemd unit file for Jenkins.
Probably the userid that you are using is not the owner of JENKINS_HOME.
This has happened to me on Vagrant, when trying to use the jenkins user on a JENKINS_HOME owned by vagrant. jenkins did have write permissions to on JENKINS_HOME, but it is not enough: it has to be the owner.
I learned this because when I tried sudo -u jenkins touch file-in-jenkins-home I got touch: setting times (...): Operation not permitted. And then I found https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/64848/cannot-touch-m-a-writable-file
In my case, I had this problem because a user named "jenkins" was already created on my Mac.
After:
uninstalling the broken Jenkins with '/Library/Application
Support/Jenkins/Uninstall.command',
removing the "jenkins" user,
and re-installing from https://jenkins.io/download
--> everything worked smoothly.
I was facing the same issue after i accidently deleted the cache from /var/cache/jenkins. I resolved it by manually creating the jenkins folder in /var/cache/ with the same permission which is there in /var/lib/jenkins and it worked.

After manually created the folder, the new Jenkins works.
I'm trying to deploy to AWS an application developed with JHipster, but I get an error when trying to do so. It looks like I'm unable to connect to the database.

In order to test if there was some problem in the yml configuration file, I decided hard-coding the database properties directly in the DatabaseConfiguration.java file and it simply worked!
When the home page was rendered, my surprise: development mode!
I have no idea how this happened, since the package was supposed to be generated with the production profile activated. This is how the package was being generated as described here:
mvn -Pprod package
But I forgot that I also need to set this environment property in Tomcat.
By the way, since this is an Tomcat environment property, it's needed to restart your EBS environment.
Last but not least, make sure your RDS has a security group that allows connection from the EC2 where your EBS is configured.
i'm using cassandra 1.2.8 in ubuntu 12.4.
i used snapshot command already and backing up process was ok!

note: my current data base is a back up version that i restore in my cassandra!

edit: i have two keyspace,A and B. B is a back up version that i restore and store more data on it, but A is not. i can create back up from A with out any problem,but for B i get above error!
this seems to be an ubuntu 12.04 security issue on hard-links.
use this command to disable that:
sudo sysctl -w kernel.yama.protected_nonaccess_hardlinks=0
and after restore, reset it to its original value:
sudo sysctl -w kernel.yama.protected_nonaccess_hardlinks=1
After struggling with this issue again I found that I had a few root-owned files inside /var/lib/cassandra/data/.../etcetera, which triggered the hard link access restriction.
Recursively chowning all directories and files inside /var/lib/cassandra/data solved the problem.
