Not able to fetch mobile numbers in j2me - java-me

When I tried to fetch phonebook contacts using:
contactInfo.mobileNo = contactItem.getString(Contact.TEL,0);
I only get numbers under Phone number entry, and not showing entries under Mobile number.
How to fetch Phonebook entry under Mobile number?

You are only fetching one element, need to loop
contactItem.getString(Contact.TEL,0);

Best Practice to limit NotesViewEntryCollection from getAllEntries

I want to create better web service that display collection from NotesView with pagination.
And I have found some performance issue of View.getAllEntries from bigger view.
On MongoDB, I can use findAll() with skip() and limit().
How can I do like that on Domino ?
Use the ViewNavigator class. If you are paging through a large view, it is much faster than view.getAllEntries().
You can acquire an instance of ViewNavigator with view.createViewNav() or a similar method. For best performance, call view.setAutoUpdate(false) before you acquire the navigator.
You can find lots more information by searching the web. This article looks like a good place to start.

Rearrange unique HashMap values in HashMap<String[]> or HashMap<ArrayList>

In my table, I've datas as follow,
Username Age
Anvar 26
Ragul 25
Prabhu 26
Praveen 25
Siva 26
Imran 26
Rajkumar 25
Vinoth 24
Here I want to categorize the username according to their ages and to store it in a string array, currently I've coded as below and it's working fine. But I want simplify it. If anyone have better any idea, please share. Thanks

One approach is to first, order the results retrieved from the database by age.
rs=stmt.executeQuery("select * from userDetails order by age desc");
Then, have a map, values, with a mapping between the age and the list of users for that age.
Map<Integer,List<String>> values = new HashMap<Integer,List<String>>();
List<String> names = new ArrayList<String>();
int prevAgeGroup = -1;
int currentAgeGroup = 0;
while(rs.hasNext())
{
currentAgeGroup = rs.getInt(2);
if(currentAgeGroup != prevAgeGroup && prevAgeGroup > -1)
{
values.put(prevAgeGroup, names);
names = new ArrayList<String>();
}
names.add("user "+rs.getString(1));
prevAgeGroup = currentAgeGroup;
}
values.put(currentAgeGroup, names);
The above code, iterates each entry from the database and since all the entries would be ordered by age, we can sequentially check if the current age is different from the last encountered age. If it is, create a new list for storing the list of users for the current age.
You can also have a look into MultiHashMap, to achieve this functionality in a simpler way.

download XSD with all imports

I use gml (3.1.1) XSDs in XSD for my application. I want to download all gml XSDs in version 3.1.1 in for example zip file. In other words: base xsd is here and I want to download this XSD with all imports in zip file or something like zip file. Is there any application which supports that?
I've found this downloader but it doesn't works for me (I think that this application is not supporting relative paths in imports which occurs in gml.xsd 3.1.1). Any ideas?
QTAssistant's XSR (I am associated with it) has an easy to use function that allows one to automatically import and refactor XSD content as local files from all sorts of sources. In the process it'll update schema location references, etc.
I've made a simple screen capture of the steps involved in achieving a task like this which should demonstrate its usability.
Based on the solution of mschwehl, I made an improved class to achieve the fetch. It suited well with the question. See https://github.com/mfalaize/schema-fetcher
You can achieve this using SOAP UI.
Follow these steps :
Create a project using the WSDL.
Choose your interface and open in interface viewer.
Navigate to the tab 'WSDL Content'.
Use the last icon under the tab 'WSDL Content' : 'Export the entire WSDL and included/imported files to a local directory'.
select the folder where you want the XSDs to be exported to.
Note: SOAPUI will remove all relative paths and will save all XSDs to the same folder.
I have written a simple java-main that does the job and change to relative url's

I created a python tool to recursively download XSDs with relative paths in import tags (eg: <import schemaLocation="../../../../abc)
https://github.com/n-a-t-e/xsd_download
After downloading the schema you can use xmllint to validate an XML document
I am using org.apache.xmlbeans.impl.tool.SchemaResourceManager from the xmlbeans project. This class is quick and easy to use.
for example:
SchemaResourceManager manager = new SchemaResourceManager(new File(dir));
manager.process(schemaUris, emptyArray(), false, true, true);
manager.writeCache();
This class has a main method that documents the different options available.

J2ME Login and Search Record Store

I'm new to J2ME and I'm taking a class where we use it. I created a simple travel reservation MIDlet using choice groups text fields etc. I then added a Record Store to capture this information. I now have a user login that only requires a user name, but i don't know how to verify that the user name is in the Record Store, so instead I accept any one as long as the Textfield for the user name is not empty. My first question is how would I verify that the user exist, I already can create an account. The second question is how can I search a record store not by id but say using a string within a certain range for each row of the Record store.
Here is my code so far:

Sharepoint 2010 custom webpart paging

I am trying to implement simple paging on my sharepoint webpart. I have a single news articles list which has some simple columns. I want to be able to have then five on a page and with some numerical paging at the bottom. I have gone through the net trying to understand splistitemcollectionposition but with no luck. If anyone can help please can you give me a simple code example or some guidanc
Many thanks
Chris
I would suggest using SPDataSource and a SPGridView, together they will implement paging and many other cool features with minimal or no code.
Use this a a guide for some of the classes/methods/properties you might need to use to get paging to work. Be aware that this code does not compile, i have just pulled together various code snippets that i have in my own list results framework, which includes paging, sorting, grouping and caching. It should be enough to get you started though.
public class PagedListResults : System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.WebPart {
protected SPPagedGridView oGrid;
protected override void CreateChildControls() {
this.oGrid = new SPPagedGridView();
oGrid.AllowPaging = true;
oGrid.PageIndexChanging += new GridViewPageEventHandler(oGrid_PageIndexChanging);
oGrid.PagerTemplate = null; // Must be called after Controls.Add(oGrid)
oGrid.PagerSettings.Mode = PagerButtons.NumericFirstLast;
oGrid.PagerSettings.PageButtonCount = 3;
oGrid.PagerSettings.Position = PagerPosition.TopAndBottom;
base.CreateChildControls();
}
public override void DataBind() {
base.DataBind();
SPQuery q = new SPQuery();
q.RowLimit = (uint)info.PageSize;
if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(info.PagingInfoData)) {
SPListItemCollectionPosition pos = new SPListItemCollectionPosition(info.PagingInfoData);
q.ListItemCollectionPosition = pos;
} else {
//1st page, dont need a position, and using a position breaks things
}
q.Query = info.Caml;
SPListItemCollection items = SPContext.Current.List.GetItems(q);
FilterInfo info = null;
string tmp = "<View></View>";
tmp = tmp.Replace("<View><Query>", string.Empty);
tmp = tmp.Replace("</Query></View>", string.Empty);
info.Caml = tmp;
info.PagingInfoData = string.Empty;
info.CurrentPage = oGrid.CurrentPageIndex;
info.PageSize = oGrid.PageSize;
if (oGrid.PageIndex == 0 || oGrid.CurrentPageIndex == 0) {
//do nothing
} else {
StringBuilder value = new StringBuilder();
value.Append("Paged=TRUE");
value.AppendFormat("&p_ID={0}", ViewState[KEY_PagingPrefix + "ID:" + oGrid.PageIndex]);
info.PagingInfoData = value.ToString();
}
int pagecount = (int)Math.Ceiling(items.Count / (double)oGrid.PageSize);
for (int i = 1; i < pagecount; i++) { //not always ascending index numbers
ResultItem item = items[(i * oGrid.PageSize) - 1];
ViewState[KEY_PagingPrefix + "ID:" + i] = item.ID;
}
oGrid.VirtualCount = items.Count;
DateTime time3 = DateTime.Now;
DataTable table = new DataTable("Data");
DataBindListData(table, items);
this.oGrid.DataSource = table;
this.oGrid.DataBind();
this.oGrid.PageIndex = oGrid.CurrentPageIndex; //need to reset this after DataBind
}
void oGrid_PageIndexChanging(object sender, GridViewPageEventArgs e) {
oGrid.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;
oGrid.CurrentPageIndex = oGrid.PageIndex;
}
}
public class FilterInfo {
public string Caml;
public string PagingInfoData;
public int CurrentPage;
public int PageSize;
}
public class SPPagedGridView : SPGridView {
protected override void InitializePager(GridViewRow row, int columnSpan, PagedDataSource pagedDataSource) {
pagedDataSource.AllowCustomPaging = true;
pagedDataSource.VirtualCount = virtualcount;
pagedDataSource.CurrentPageIndex = currentpageindex;
base.InitializePager(row, columnSpan, pagedDataSource);
}
private int virtualcount = 0;
public int VirtualCount {
get { return virtualcount; }
set { virtualcount = value; }
}
private int currentpageindex = 0;
public int CurrentPageIndex {

}
check out my post on how to page using SPListItemCollectionPosition, I did a component to page over lists, maybe it can help -> http://hveiras.wordpress.com/2011/11/07/listpagert-using-splistitemcollectionposition/
