I'm trying to compile rabbitmq-c on a visual studio 2012 machine, with no success.
I'm following the instructions described in the readme:
mkdir build && cd build
cmake ..
cmake --build .
However compiling returns a bunch of errors as the following:
C:\rabbitmq-c-master\librabbitmq\amqp_private.h(277): error C2375: 'htonll' : redefinition; different linkage
I've noticed that when i run the command "cmake .." I get "Looking for htonll - not found".
So for some reason rabbitmq-c doesn't find my htonll function and tries to redeclare it.
How do I debug this?

I'm new to rust and made a simple rust program(hello world). I installed rust and Visual Studio from here - https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/ and restarted the device. However when I type in rustc <path> on command prompt, I get:
error: linker `link.exe` not found
|
= note: The system cannot find the file specified. (os error 2)
note: the msvc targets depend on the msvc linker but `link.exe` was not found
note: please ensure that VS 2013, VS 2015 or VS 2017 was installed with the Visual C++ option
error: aborting due to previous error
What's wrong?
Update
I updated my system path to include C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\BuildTools\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.22.27905\bin\Hostx64\x64, but now it gives this error:

This reports your exact problem.
So the solution seems to use VS installer and installing C++ for Desktop Module.
Use of rustup is a matter of convenience but shouldn't be mandatory.

I found this forum with a slightly active/recent question asking about this same issue here:
Internal compiler error in outdname.c in VS15.7p3 when building Firefox webrtc code
Is there anything I can do from this point to fix this?
Downgrading my version of VS to 2015 allowed me to bypass this compiler error and compile QT successfully.
I'm trying to build PCL 1.8.0 on my Ubuntu 14.04 machine from source, following these instructions. But every time I get the following error:
[ 73%] Building CXX object apps/CMakeFiles/pcl_manual_registration.dir/include/pcl/apps/moc_manual_registration.cpp.o

make[1]: *** [apps/CMakeFiles/pcl_manual_registration.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
for locate QWidget I get amongst others the following output:
...
/usr/include/qt4/QtGui/QWidget
...
/usr/include/qt5/QtWidgets/QWidget
...
So how can I resolve the error and install pcl?
The problem happens because your configuration is trying to mix Qt4 and Qt5 during PCL build.
According to the link you've provided, PCL is suppossed so be built against Qt4 in this case.
Try to remove everything in release directory and re-initialize CMake config with correct version of Qt.
Like that (following provided example):
cd ~/Documents/pcl
rm -rf relese
mkdir release
cd release
cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DPCL_QT_VERSION=4 -DBUILD_GPU=ON -DBUILD_apps=ON -DBUILD_examples=ON ..
make
While compiling ITKSNAP using ITK,VTK and FLTK on my computer(Windows 7 and Microsft visual studio 2012) shows following error:
CMake Error: Error required internal CMake variable not set, cmake may be not be built correctly.
Missing variable is:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:570 (ITK_DISABLE_FLTK_GENERATED_WARNINGS):

I don't know how to link fluid executable.
Please suggest some solution.
I'm trying to build libvpx 1.3.0 under Visual Studio 2012 (vs11) under windows 8.1 (x64).
I read the build prerequisites (http://www.webmproject.org/code/build-prerequisites/) and configured libvpx as following:
./configure --target=x86-win32-vs11 --disable-examples --disable-docs --disable-unit-tests
After the configure i do a make, without errors. But when i lauch the solution under Visual Studio and try to build, i get those path error:

I tryed both MSYS and Cygwin, same result.
Any idea ?
Ok, problem fixed:
The 1.3.0 snapshot seems to be faulty, cloning the git was the solution, it will probably be gone in the next snapshot.
Configured with Cygwin, MSYS was missing a perl module.
