Upgrading Awesomium SDK 1.6.6 to 1.7 - awesomium

I have Awesomium SDK 1.6.6 installed and i want to upgrade it to the 1.7 candidate how could i do that. because when i downloaded the 1.7 i find it is only consists of some files and no setup file included (like the 1.6 one)

We have not created an installer for the Release Candidates of version 1.7. RCs are not stable releases. There will be one again when 1.7 goes stable and 1.6.6 installations will then be able to automatically upgrade to 1.7.

Are you looking to use the .NET wrappers? If so, you should be able to download and extract the files anywhere, then in your project, just add references to Awesomium.Core.dll and either Awesomium.Windows.Forms.dll or Awesomium.Windows.Controls.dll, depending on whether you're using Winforms or WPF. The dlls are located in awesomium_1_7_rc3_v3_sdk_win\wrappers\AwesomiumNET\Assemblies\ within the archive.
I believe the setup.exe you're expecting to see is only used for extracting the files to a specific location and providing you with some helpful links in your start menu, so you aren't missing much by not having it.

Swift: Toolchain download seemingly components missing

On the swift website you have several options / versions to choose from, but some of the packages don't seem to include swift-build, what is the reason for this?
Notably:
Swift-2.2.1 14.04 May 3
Should be similar for the version of 15.10. It does not seem to be the case with the master-branch tar-balls.
Its actually quite relevant for me to try to stay up to date as possible, since Swift reaks of memory leaks at this point in time.
The release of Swift 2.2 does not include the swift package manager, as the package manager was still too early in development to include in a release version of Swift at that point. Instead, a feature was added to the package manager to allow using the version from a 3.0 toolchain with the Swift from a 2.2 toolchain, so that people could use a more recent version of the package manager.

Old version of TypeScript installation program (.MSI, or .VSIX) needed - 0.9.1.1 - where to find?

Anybody know how to get the .MSI installer for an older version of Typescript - the download at the offical URL for version 0.9.1.1 is no longer available.
It seems newer version 1.0 or 1.0.1.0 is available, but that version is incompatible with my client's software which I am attempting to support.
Any idea how to get the specific version I need?
OK - found it. After some digging, there is a reference in the bowels of the Microsoft Download Center for many old versions of TypeScript.
Expand the 'Details' section and scroll down, click 'Download' link on desired version...

Are not templates and codesnippets supposed to get installed with the Catel packages when using the NuGet Package Manager?

I have added Catel.Core 3.7, Catel.MVVM 3.7 and Catel.Extensions.Controls 3.7 to my Project but does not have the codesnippets. I have looked in C:\Users\NNUser\Documents\Visual Studio 2013\Code Snippets\Visual C#\My Code Snippets and no Catel folder there. I can neither find any templates.
I got the impression these should be automatically installed, or do I need to install them manually as indicated in the end of this thread. Seems to be available here but are those version independent?
NuGet isn't the right mechanism to deploy code snippets & templates. It only contains the actual binaries when deployed via NuGet.
They should be installed manually as documented here
The code snippets and templates are mostly version independent, but will always work with the latest version.
btw. why are you using v3.7? The latest version is 3.9 and 4.0 is about to be released

Cannot load library into assembly (GAC)

I am using visual studio 2010 on windows server 2010 with Sharepoint 2010 server. I am deploying webparts to a Sharepoint instance running on the same server.
My new webpart makes use of a custom library, AE.Net.Mail. When I deploy this webpart, I get the Could not load file or assembly... error for AE.Net.Mail. I have run gacutil but I do not see the assembly in C:\Windows\assembly. I do see it in a subdirectory of C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly.
Now I am not sure about this but I think when my Sharepoint instance runs, it only looks at C:\Windows\assembly. And that is why it is not able to find the library. The reason I believe this is that the name of my webpart is present in C:\Windows\assembly. It's being cached there and not in a subdirectory of C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly.
I am using version AE.Net.Mail Version 1.6.0.0 which is compatible with .NET 3.5. I think my Sharepoint server is using 3.5 although 4.0 is present on the machine. I think so because when I tried to install the the library using nuget, I couldn't install the latest version that requires .NET 4.0. The error said that my project is using 3.5. Version 1.6.0.0 is compatible with 3.5
So, what do you guys think is going on and how do you think I can get AE.Net.Mail into C:\Windows\assembly? Been at this for hours now and I can't figure it out (Dragging and dropping doesn't work)
Thanks guys. :)
Judging from the sources AE.Net.Mail isn't strongly typed which is something GAC-deployment (and SharePoint) require.
To add the binary to the GAC you must download the binaries of AE.Net.Mail from Github, sign the assembly and compile it yourself. This is easy, simply follow this guide http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms247123(v=vs.100).aspx
Remember to compile for .net 3.5 since that's what SP2010 supports, it wont recognize net4 assemblies
