I am new in opencms.I am working on application of opencms8.5 . Actually my application already developed in struts and spring and now i have to integrate that with opencms . Actually when i am trying to generate container page in English then it's creating page in Punjabi language. Can some one tell me how i have to do that.
second question is while i am trying to change my folder name in opencms workplace then it's giving error
Runtime error in JPA layer: org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException
Please help me .
I have a few questions, the language you want is in the workplace? or the text onlie/offline?
For the wokplace
you just have to chage your language preferences.
For the pages:
I guess your cms is set on English and Punjabi. So you have to search for the porperty locale or locale-availabe (the second one is for change between languages in the elements) in the container page or folder set the locale "en".
I have one application having property file for both languages and my JSF UI is now got translated to desired language.
My problem is with the database inputs. I want a common database which will support both languages eg. French and English. But when application language changes it should change the output and input.
That means if I type some word in french by selecting French as my application language at run time it should translate it to English and save it to database and vice versa for the query output.
My project uses maven java and PrimeFaces
Thanks in advance. Waiting for solution
I want to make a component model using Eclipse (and possibly some plugins?) - and the corresponding object-model for the objects within the component. This web page has an example of the component model and object model I am trying to produce.
http://www.agilemodeling.com/artifacts/componentDiagram.htm (please look at the diagrams)
To be honest I am new to eclipse. I want BOTH the diagram and the classes and interface definitions as well (not just a picture). But I also want the picture..... not just class and component definitions. I'm running on Windows.
Are there special plugins for diagrams?
Are there special plugins for component models?
How in Eclipse do you place the classes in a component?
Any links to examples (other than the one I have), would be so appreciated!!
Thanks In Advance!!

I need to change the language of whole project. I am using jsf. In default I used English. Now i need to convert it in Italian and Spanish.
I did it by manually writing in the property class. Just like:
and in xhtml I need to to put the property by manually.
My question is that, is there any way to convert it automatically?? I mean I just click on Italian, and it will display in italian language.
You need to create one file by language (with the correct name)
And fill every - key manually ...
Netbeans help you to display all languages in the same table.
The automaticaly option is Google trad.. it's not good solution.
Is it possible to mix them? I'm asking because I have a big project that uses Subsonic 2.x generated classes (in a compiled dll) but would like to start using 3.x for new stuff.
I tried it last night with a project where I had references to both subsonic.dll and subsonic.core.dll but that didn't work with ambiguous references, etc. So removed 2.x and then got an issue with my older compiled subsonic generated classes in that they needed Subsonic 2.1 to run.
Hmm... I think there's a small chance that you might be able to do this, but you'd need to use the full qualifying class names (namespace.class) for a lot of code because there might be naming conflicts. It wouldn't be easy to do and definitely not recommended. (It might not can even be done.)
You can't move from 2.x to 3.x without doing a lot of recoding. I have a bunch of big projects in 2.2 and after trying to update to 3.0, I ran into some issues so I've decided to keep them in 2.2. I'd love to upgrade to 3.0 and use the new stuff, too, but I don't have the time (right now) to recode the stuff that changed between 2.x and 3.0.
I do recommend updating to 2.2. There shouldn't be any backwards compatibility issues between 2.1 and 2.2. I was able to update to 2.2 by just changing out my reference.
Just curious, are you using ActiveRecord or Repo implementation?
You only have 2 options:
stay in 2.1/2.2
update your code to 3.0
Thought I'd follow up here and let people know that I was able to get this to work. What i chose to do was to edit the Subsonic 2 source code and put it into a Subsonic2 namespace (everything), recompile to subsonic2.dll, etc. Had to modify the web.config slightly, then went and modified my old code to reference subsonic2, etc.
Am now able to mix both Subsonic 2 and 3 in the same project.

Jim--I'm using ActiveRecord. The 2.x is in one namespace and 3.x would be in another. However, I guess the question is whether the 2.x can be compiled to run with the 3.x runtime.
Thanks,
