What I have tried is to build a Form and inside that a TextField where the user can insert any number and click on "save" Command and the number should save in the rms, and now, even after the several times of opening the application and closing it, the saved value be there in the application. I honestly ask for help.
Ok, you can use rms for that, but it would be more hard than build a xml file and write the data inside of it. This will help you

I'm creating a Roku app in SceneGraph and trying to near duplicate the search functionality I had using the old SDK. I'm stuck at only being able to display the mini keyboard. I'm trying to add buttons via buttongroup (i.e., Search, Cancel) but having two issues:
Not sure how to get the text string that's typed into the mini keyboard and store that in a variable or field so I can perform the search on it.
How to create a Search button and give it focus when user is ready to search for the string they entered.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
SGDEX (Scenegraph Developer Extensions) is what you need. They have a view called "SearchView". Look it up.
Also...
RALE (Roku Advanced Layout Editor) has good search options. - I have been unable to find a decent Search sample. It would be cool if we could export the source code from RALE.
However if you haven't tried RALE. You could upload your script, then add search to it.
Is it possible to disable the copy option of the lib when selecting a text in the PDF using the PDFTron lib for Android?
I tried to search for the string, but also have not found it.
If you are using one of the mobile SDK's, or using our PDFViewWPF control for .Net 4+, then this is possible by modifying the tools code that is provided. There will one or two text selection tools, for which you can just comment out. Plus you would want to disable ctrl-c, and right click and select copy abilities. Exact code changes depends on platform. If you are using our older C++ PDFViewCtrl class this is harder to do, but I suspect you are not on this anyway.
Be aware though, there is no real way to prevent a user from extracting text from a PDF, since they can always open it in another PDF viewer and do it there.
See this form post for more info, including how to scramble the unicode values of text.

Note, you will probably be interested in the PDFTron WebViewer technology, which provides much greater control over content. In particular, the original PDF file is never exposed to anyone for download. You can also encrypt the XOD file, so it cannot be opened in an XPS viewer, and you have full control over the UI, including disabling text search/extraction.

I've started using Crystal Reports recently. Have been able to create a report and mostly done with it. But suddenly I started to lose any change made inside a textbox object. I edit a textbox, save the report and close it. And then I reopen it to see that the change hasn't remained. I restart the Visual Studio and even the machine but nothing helps. I use VS 2012. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
In the report preview see if the checkbox "Save data in the report" is checked. If so, try unckecking this checkbox. It is causing me some trouble to save the report crashing Visual Studio interface.
In fact I found the reason for the problem. This happens when I try to save the changes while the focus is on the edited object, in this case textbox. But if I click somewhere else (in order to lose focus on the edited textbox) before saving, then the problem gets solved. Happy to have found it.
Welcome to the club :)
Crystal Reports can behave very strangely in some cases. For instance, some times when i edit a report file in Windows XP, it crashes the interface and corrupts the file when i save it. The same problem doesn't appear in Windows 7. However other strange things happen in Windows 7 also.
I would recommend you to
Always apply the latest Service Pack available for the Crystal Reports Engine.
Always check if the asterisk sign disappears from the opened report file when you save it (some times it doesn't when you hit save and it does when you hit save all and vice versa).
Always backup your report files once in a while because to recover a corrupted file is a very hard task.
You can try the following to find out what causes the problem
Create a new blank Windows Forms project, add the same report file there and check if it behaves the same.
Create a new blank report file and check if a change in a field behaves the same way after saving it.
Try it on another OS.
Go to Database | Verify Database and make sure the database is up to date.
Also Go to Database | Show SQL Query and reset the query. Now enter in the Selection Formula again and save.
Updating the SQL will replace the Selection Formula.
Good luck,
I'm working on an C++ app which uses opencv for some data manipulation and visualization. I'm using three to four cvShowImage() statements to visualize the data. I've recently noticed, that only the window which has focus, will be updated constantly after each cvShowImage() call. All the other windows only get updated infrequently. Is there a way to make sure that all opencv windows get refreshed and updated?
If you don't already, I would suggest issuing a cvWaitKey(30) after each cvShowImage() and not only once after the last one. Or you could try displaying all the images in one window.
You can archive e-mails immediately by using the menu, Actions > Archive > Archive Selected Documents.
How can I create a toolbar button that I can click which will perform the above action?
I've already created toolbar buttons to move documents to folders so I'm semi-familiar with the process of creating a button entering formula language commands.
Not sure what you're question is, but having a stab at it. So you want to put the logic in the "toolbar" so you can run it on any database right ? You would have to be able to call the agent that does the job. Well, if you're doing this on mail files only, you can actually call the command
#Command([ToolsRunMacro];"Archive\\Archive Selected Documents");
You'll need the double backslash as it's an "escaped" after saving.
But if you're thinking of trying this to work on any database, you're in a bit of trouble.
Toolbars have a pretty sloppy way of looking for agents you want to run. Because, if you attempt to run an agent from the toolbar, the formula in the toolbar button assumes the database of the current view you are looking at, as the database with the agent as well.
This is no better than copying the agent into every other database that you want to run the agent on. That's why the above solution for archive, only works in mail files as the agent should be there in every case.
Otherwise, you are left with the overhead of copying the required agent around everywhere. To prove the point, a simple test. Create a toolbar button with the following formula.
#Prompt([Ok];"Hello Notes..";#Implode(#DbName;#Char(13)));
Now open any database. Note that the prompt actually shows you the details of the currently open database. This is where the toolbar button will look when trying to run that archive agent.
As there is no way to specify in Notes formula command, the database location in the #command([ToolsRunMacro]), we're unable to call a centralised agent to do the job that I think you're postulating.
A good idea, and a worthwhile problem for the vendor to solve, but this is one many things IBM has never addressed since ...way to long ago.
I would recommend tool called SWING PDF Converter.
It add's Lotus Notes toolbar button and can convert any Lotus Notes document to PDF.
It supports single document conversion from view, multiple documents conversion as separate PDF files, PDF package and bookmarks PDF document. You can also export data in XML and CSV format.
