SmartGWT - Cannot change configuration property "x" after the component created - components

From this example http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/#tree_databinding_local , I started to implement my own tree structure dynamically (TreeGrid). When I try to render it, I get this error (title).

what do you mean by "x"? Normally, If a component has been drawn on the window (implicit or explicit call to draw), you cannot change it's properties values. So the only possible solution is to recreate the object with the new X value each time it is changing.

Cannot capture javafx CheckBoxTableCell CellEditEvent

I have defined a CheckBoc TableColumn as

My problem is i am not able to capture the edit column event for the checkbox. I use the following code:

I don't think the check boxes in the CheckBoxTableCell invoke the startEdit(...) method on the table.
The only thing that can happen in an edit is that the boolean property of one of the items in the table changes from true to false, or vice versa. So you can check for this just by listening directly to those boolean properties.
If you want a single listener that will catch changes to any of the properties, you can create an observableList with an "extractor" and register a list change listener with the list. This looks like:

ViewModel property sort of fatal with VMDisconnectedException

EDIT: I am actually getting a Mono.Debugger.Soft.VMDisconnectedException. I also recently installed Windows 8.1 and Resharper (though Resharper is suspended now).
When I access a very simple list property of my view model in my MVVMCross Xamarin iOS application, the program fails. It doesn't quit most of the time: it acts like it's running. The simulator has a black screen and there is no exception. If I breakpoint on if (messagesViewModel != null) source.ItemsSource = messagesViewModel.Messages; and then type messagesViewModel.Messages into the Immediate Window, everything stops, so I can tell it is failing at this line. If instead I "step over", it never moves to the next line.
I was having similar behavior when I was toggling this code in the MvxTableViewSource:

I suspect whatever the error is, it isn't in any of the code you have posted.

I wouldn't completely trust the integration of Xamarin.iOS with the Immediate window - it is better now than it used to be, but I've seen several problems with it before.
Some things to possibly check:
does the above code work for you?
if it does, then what's in your BaseMessage and MessagesTableViewSource classes - perhaps they are causing the problem?
can you use Mvx.Trace("The list is {0}", messagesViewModel.Messages ?? "-null") to view the list? Can you use trace within the ViewModel property get - is it being called? Can you use trace within the ViewModel constructor?
are all your assemblies building against the same versions of things? Are all your assemblies definitely rebuilt? (Check "Build|Configuration Manager")- what version of Xamarin.iOS are you running in VS and in the Mac?

Parent Table View Updation From child fxml

Scenario:
I have a parent window called EditClientDeatils.fxml and have a TableView on this. I am editing these row result by creating another window named UserDetails.fxml and populating the row data to this FXML fields, now after editing from my second window , If I save I need to update the parent table with latest data.I tried something like below and not refreshing the table at all. But when I debugged my table list is updated with latest Data and not showing that in Window.
So How can I update my table view from different controller ?

I had the same issue, and found this work arround it, to force it to refresh.

Pass object from one scene to another

As I'm learning the new world of JavaFX2 I stumbled on another annoying problem. I'm developing a program with multiple scenes (~10 scenes). For that I created a small class like this:

Now the problem is that I sometimes need to pass data from Scene1 to Scene2. I'm trying to do this by setting the setUserData() for the new scene which basicly works exept for one thing. How can I get the userdata when the new Scene is beeing initialized? (because the Nodes are still null at that time)

The setting of the data with the setMyData() method is not a problem, however retrieving it is:

I believe you missed the point within the Scene object. From the Scene class documentation we can see that:
The JavaFX Scene class is the container for all content in a scene graph.
Which means that the Scene object is just a container and as such it's not supposed to hold any data.
With that in mind, you can make another static object with a field such as
private static Label lbl;
...
public static Label getLbl()
{
return MyStaticObject.Lbl;
}
...
and use it to store your lbl (or whatever object suits your information) and then statically retrieve it.
I'm doing that to set the owner of my other Stage objects from my application. I hope it helps. Cheers
If you really want your scene to be meaningful (aka store specific user data) you can extend it:

How to pass parameters to a CodeActivity in a NativeActivity code sequence

I'm trying to get windows workflows working, and I've become a little stumped.
I've gotten a single workflow working, but now I am trying to do something a little more complex: start a workflow, where each activity itself contains a workflow. (Picture something like the main program starts the activities "Input, logic, and output", and then each of those have additional activities like "prompt user, get input, etc.")
I've had it working fine, with the example from here (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/gg535667.aspx), when I am not passing any parameters from the main program to the activites. My question is, how exactly does the 'Variables' and 'metadata.SetVariablesCollection' work in the NativeActivity, and how to I get the parameters to the low level activities?

I know, I only pass 1 parameter, but the exception still says that I am missing 3 parameters. I am missing something as to how to do this properly.
You're correctly declaring stringArg as an InArgument but you're not passing any value to it when calling it inside SimpleSequence.
You can pass something using the constructor, while constructing the all activity itself, like this:
