I have an issue with a certain XIB file. When I open it from the xcode using interface builder I get all the windows besides the screen preview one (view window).
I tried all sorts of solutions proposed here like double clicking the view object, closing and relaunching with no success. I am worried that it is lost. Please help.
Thanks,
Found the answer for this with a little help of a friend.
Double click the VIEW item from the XIB window (where you have the FILE'S OWNER and the FIRST RESPONDER).
I know it might be a novice issue but since I lost some time and nerves on this I hope ti might help others.

This is a question with the same title as here:
VBA Active-X buttons getting bigger with every action
I guess the problem is the same.
The question is nevertheless from 2014!!! and it does not really have an answer.
In my case the buttons were NOT created programatically, but just clicking in insert activeX control, button, and then click for writing the VBA behind.
In order to better illustrate the problem I made a video with my handy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBiu2FfRxQU
IN the video you can see how every time a button is clicked it gets bigger.
as note aside I have to say that this only happens when I connect remotely with my computer via a think client. Nevertheless both screens are the same (i.e. have the same resolution).
This is of course very annoying because it makes almost impossible to use home working since connecting to my excel at work makes all the buttons go crazy in size.
As #TimStack and #jvdv has pointed out this is a known issue of Microsoft, i.e. a BUG, there since many years.
Hence there is no solution but workarounds.
So stay away from controlX if you don't want to get surprises.
I had faced this issue today itself. And found very strange solution to this problem.
I just tried to resize the button where I was facing the issue and it was solved.
Hope this works with you.
This very annoying and I can't figure how to change it. When in Designer And I click on Help >> Help Contents from drop down menu it displays it differently than what I have been used to seeing and is very hard to navigate through. Is there a way to change the behavior? I recently got new Hard drive with Windows 10 opperating system
This is what I am used to seeing and is very navigable:
IBM Support was able to reproduce this and is looking into the issue. I did find a work around.
Open Help Contents from the drop down Help menu.
Right Click on the window and select properties.
Highlight and copy the Address (URL) line
Open a browser (not IE) and paste it in the Address line and go to the page.
It should then present it in a usable form. If not, then click on the first content and that should do the trick.
A problem report has been created with IBM or HCL or whatever they are called now: SPR # ZNDNBA7TEV: Domino Designer Help Contents Display Issue
I'm creating a custom ribbon in Excel, and I'm using ImageMso's for icons. I downloaded the full list of Icons from Microsoft, and tried to create a menu that displays them all for me to choose, but some of them are not displaying.
Is there any way to validate if an imageMso code does not work with the current version of windows, and display a placeholder in it's place instead of a blank icon?
Thanks,
Daniel
In my experience the short answer is no, but I also haven't investigated or attempted to resolve it with any great tenacity. If it doesn't show up I will retry with a different icon.
Note that I am not an expert by any means, but have been playing around with customUI for a while.
There is a great free Add-In I found that helps with speeding up the whole process of identifying suitable icons. It's worth checking it out.

PS. I hear this is particularly an issue going into the Office 2019.
I've had this issue several times and usually I can just shut down the program and restart it. But this time I have a bunch of windows open and I don't want to restart Dreamweaver.
My problem is that Dreamweaver brought up a code hint, but the code hint box now won't go away. It just sits there floating in the middle of the page. It doesn't matter if I click to Preview or any other tab in Dreamweaver, it still just sits on top of everything.
I'm working on a Mac, Dreamweaver CC (cloud, fully updated). Anyone else have this problem???
This has been a HUGE PAIN for me as well! You can make the code hint disappear though by finishing out an element that is in the code hint box. For instance if the code hint box appears and you can see class in the drop down... create a <div class="xyz"> real quick and the code hit box will dissipate after you close the quotes on the class because you used an element in that box. As to why this continually happens on the Mac version I have no idea, but I hope they fix it soon!
It's a known bug since years as you can read here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7745689
Someone suggests as a workaround to set the Coding Hint delay to 0 (as said here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7745689#7745689) but for me, in Dreamweaver CC 2015 Windows fully updated via cloud app, this bug still occurs while I code JS files.
Awaiting for a final fix, I hope this suggestion can be useful for you on Mac. :)
I have written a windows application, that is own using dialog boxes (NO win form).
I would like to add in some help information.
How can I capture and F1 keypress, and get the help window to open???
Everything I have read only seems to work if you have used a win form.
Thanks
Dave
One option is to use the HelpProvider component http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.helpprovider.aspx
