I have a bunch of sites setup in dreamweaver cs5, and I need to install them to fresh dreamweaver install. I mainly want to export the info in "site setup", as I have the files in an external HD. Does anyone know of an easy way to export the "site setup" info of all the sites at once?
Thanks!
Site->Manage Sites
Select all items in the list
Click Export
Choose whether to back up all data, or exclude a few things
Select folder
All sites will be exported to the chosen folder as separate .ste files.

I read that SharePoint document library contents are stored in content databases, i.e. they are not folders on the hard disk. What happens then when we go to a document library and click Open with Explorer? Does SharePoint somehow serve the folders?
When you click in Open With Explorer your computer will open a window with all binaries (.js, .css, .html, ...) and/or files that you have in your Sharepoint Environment into that folder
For example: If you go to Site Contents > Site Assets > "Open with Explorer" you'll see all files in that folder. In this case, Sharepoint uses your Windows Explorer, and you can manipulate it if you want.
NOTE: This feature just works when you click with Internet Explorer, if you try to click with Google Chrome, you can't open the Windows Explorer
Open with Explorer will rely on WebClient Service:
This is a map network folder for sharing, and besides open with Explorer, we can also create a map drive like below to achieve the same function:
Access documents in SharePoint as easily as in a network folder
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to manage more than one website in Dreamweaver at the same time? As I understand it now, every time I need to get a page from a website, I have to change the current site by selecting another site in the Files dropdown... Is there a way to have something like "tabs" where you can instantly switch between different websites without having to click the Files drop-down, select the website, wait for FTP to connect, and then browse that website?
I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and when I open multiple webpages, they are on tabs already. On the fist screen shot i provided, you can see that index.html and album.html are both opened. If you click on the restore button on the active window (icon encircled), it is manageable like the other image I attached.
Is it possible to use Google Webfonts in websites created with Google Sites? If so, I'd be much obliged for input as to how to go about doing this.
It looks as though it's possible to add scripts in through the site management (i.e. "App Scripts"), but I don't know if it's best to load Webfonts this way -- and even if it is possible I'm not sure of the best way to change the theme fonts.
I'd be much obliged for thoughts and input.
Thank you for reading.

A totally different approach..
I am pointing this out because many don't realize that you are not limited to only googles sites tool set ...as an example you can make your own css/java website on a local folder ... use dreamweaver or whatever.... test the site in your local file directory and browser... once you have it the way you want it to look.... fonts and all..... save the local website folder with all the files to a google drive folder that is shared publicly. Then get the hosting link for your websites index.html from the detail description of the index.html file that is in the folder that is now on google drive. Open your google site and add a full page iframe using the hosting link to your website index.html file as its source.
the local website you created is now live on google sites as your website
You need to go to Setting button > Manage Site > Choose Themes, Colors Fonts on the sidebar > Click Content Area > Scroll down to whatever you need, then click the theme you want.
Choose "More Actions", then "Manage Site". Choose "Colors and Fonts" in "Site Appearance" section. Choose "Page Fonts" in list of properties. There is "Custom" option by right side and list of fonts. Throughout this list you could find Google WebFonts.
I think this is the only one way to use Google WebFonts on Google Sites. Because you cannot use neither "script" nor to get direct access to CSS of page.
It's only my opinion. If you find out another way, please share it with me. Good luck!
I would like to use Sharepoint Designer 2007 as an html editor. I have a web site with a lot of files in a folder on my hard drive. I do not want Sharepoint Designer to make a web site out of this. I just want to use Sharepoint Designer to edit the html files, locally.
If I ever make a mistake and click on a tool for Sites, such as summary or report, Sharepoint Designer will decide that my folder is now a web site. From that point on, Sharepoint Designer is painfully slow whenever I open a file contained in the folder that Sharepoint decided is my web site, instead of being instantaneous like it was before.
I can resolve this situation by renaming the folder containing my web site -- everything gets fast again. I can also fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling Sharepoint Designer. Neither of these is a good solution. Is there a place in Sharepoint Designer, or in application data or the registry that I can kill off the Sharepoint Designer web site that's associated with a folder on my hard drive?
I'm not certain this will fix your issues (as I can't easily recreate the situation you describe). But I do know where SharePoint Designer tucks away metadata about the websites you open and edit.
The next time SPD converts your folder to a web, shut down SPD and delete the contents of the following folders:
WebsiteCache:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\WebsiteCache
Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache
There is one file in WebsiteCache you may wish to keep, which is Websites.xml. This contains the "shortcuts" you see when you go to File > Open Site...
Web Server Extensions:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Whenever SPD gets wonky about reporting which files are checked out/in, really slow to open, or just generally weird, we clean out these folders and things return to "normal".
Hope this helps!
I've got a new section for a website which I have generated for a data source and it has markup for using a Dreamweaver template.
When I add the new files and folders to the site , then update my template , it doesn't find the new files to update.
If I open one of the new files , make a change in the template , then it recognises the new file is using the template. So it's almost like I have to touch all the files with Dreamweaver first.
I've tried to open all the new files which need to use the template but then Dreamweaver CS4 crashes, I presume because of the number of files it's opening.
Anyway, does anyone know if there is a way to make Dreamweaver recognise that a block of new files belong to the template , it doesn't seem to just work automatically
Thanks
Chris
You can force Dreamweaver to recreate it's site cache, which should cause it to recognize the newly added files. You can do this by going to:
Site -> Advanced -> Recreate Site Cache
Or on the Files panel, click the Options menu on the upper right of the panel, select Site -> Recreate Site Cache.
If Recreate Site Cache is disabled in the Site menu or on the Files panel options menu, then the site cache has been disabled in the site definition. Go to: Site -> Manage Sites..., select your site, and click Edit. IN Dreamweaver CS4 on the Local Info category, there is a Enable Cache checkbox, check it and click OK. IN Dreamweaver CS5, you'll need to expand the Advanced Settings, and then select Local Info, and check the Enable Cache checkbox.
