I'm on Windows 8.1 64 bit. I'm having a problem while running Mafia 3 game. The error initially was about some dll missing. I got them from dll-files.com. Like I got 13 missing dlls (file name like api-win-ms-crt-*-l1-1-0.dll) from there and copied them to game directory. Now the final error pops up while opening the game is the procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library vcruntime140.dll I wasted a whole day and found that the files msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll are coming from installing ms visual c++ 2015 redistributable. I tried windows update, re-installing vc++ 2015, and the OS itself several times and the problem still exists. Please help me. I donno where I'm going wrong. I'm really into playing the game.

I resolved the issue LOL. The problem was with the Visual C++ 2015 as I said. But inorder to install Visual C++ 2015, I had to update Windows completely. I did 2 GB of Windows Update. Then uninstalled VC++ 2015 and reinstalled. Files with name api-win-ms-crt-*-l1-1-0.dll were part of the windows update. Now game’s working. But framerate is low. My GPU is a not fast enough.
Disclaimer, I'm a huge noob when it comes to coding and I've been struggling, but learning, with nuget and powershell.
Thing is, whenever I try the microsoft installer for the VC++ redist I get Error:
0x80096010 - The digital signature of the object did not verify
So I started looking at alternatives.
It's been days since this ordeal began, 4 forums and 2 tech supports later I found this package https://chocolatey.org/packages/vcredist2015 that is exactly what I am looking for, but have no idea how to install it without Visual Studio (which I also can't install).
I would highly appreciate anyone with some free time to lend me a hand.

I have installed JME sdk 3 in windows 7 professional 32 bit system
I have jdk also already installed.
When i try to start JME platform using the icon in start menu or the the jmonkeyplatform.exe file in program files/jmonkeyplatform/bin , it lauches the startup logo. It says reading,loading modules, turning on modules and then starting modules. But after that it suddenly disaperars. Nothing happens , no error msg.
I have nvidia graphics card in my system
What do I have to do? Please help. I also uninstalled and re-installed. Is it the problem with version of jme? Or some problem with with my graphics card setting?

Finally its working now.
I uninstalled the jmonkey platform and downloaded another version from here
http://jmonkeyengine.org/downloads/ --->jMonkeyEngine 3 SDK – Windows (32-bit)
I installed it and it worked.
May be the earlier JME 3 was not suitable for my system.

has anyone ever written a netbeans' toolchain for MS VC++ compiler?

I am currently writing a module/toolchain to use Visual C++ on Netbeans.

It may be a bit late for you, but I hope it can help other people.
Can someone explain me or direct me to some usefull links which tell how to make Visual Studio 2008 use Gnuwin libraries. And please tell me which Gnuwin package I should download.(Windows xp) I have been tring hours with out any luck.

I found an answer for this and posted it my earlier question. In this case I am using GnuWin32/gsl library. It should be same for other GnuWin32 libs too. Follow this to see what I found.
