I am running DNN 5.x and the XDMediaBlue skin in horizontal menu full mode. Is there any way to have a tooltip appear for menu items?
I would look at jQuery one of the tooltip plugins should be able to do this - not exactly sure how the tooltip info might be loaded in practice but i think it could be done without a lot of work maybe loading a json array of info after the page loads that the tooltip plugin could use

Here's the page I'm working on. Just click on "Forecasts" tab. On Chrome and FF browsers. http://www.weather.gov/mfr/dot
Once on the forecasts tab, you'll see a map below the text links. Much of the map is grey upon loading. I saw that this can happen if CSS is not loaded, but I have the latest CSS loaded on there. Can anyone help with this problem?

since the map container is being created dynamically, you need to call map.invalidateSize() when the 'Forecast' panel is toggled.
I have an irritating problem with Glimpse.
I wanted to see everything I can on a Glimpse tab so I maximised it's size on the page.
Now I cannot resize it back again. There is no edge I can drag down. I am sure there is a simple way of sorting this. I tried switching off Glimpse, but when I switched it back on again it was taking up the whole screen again. I don't want to install and uninstall, so how do I fix this easily?

I find a way of fixing this, which is to go into Developer Tools and change the css settings dynamically by using the CSS top class, replacing another class like margin, and putting in 200px and then resizing from that.
Another option is launch the Glimpse as Standalone tool.
I am trying to find the best method in order to create a horizontal website, full screen and if possible responsive, minimum width to be for tablets. The thing is that I need also the horizontal scrolling with the mousewheel, and I saw that fullPage.js doesn't support that or at least i couldn't manage to make it work on this plugin.
Anyway, I need an idea on building the template, with full screen sections displayed inline - I will be very grateful for any tip. Thanks.
Making horizontally responsive is bit tricky and requires a lot of effort.. There can be many many design approaches for making it responsive. It can't just be described with JSFiddle snippets..

or you could also mix raw js/jquery with anchor links and add animations when clicked. in taht case you can scroll down using mouse wheel and also have fancy animations when a link is clicked
regarding responsiveness use css media queries
For some reason i am not able to enter any text in inputtext in dhtml environment. The same is working fine in swf10 environment.
When i hover over the input text i observed that the cursor is not changing to selector. It looks as if the onmouseover event of inputtext is not getting fired.
Has anyone come across this kind of issue in openlaszlo dhtml envrironment?
I am using OpenLaszlo 4.9, Windows 7 and the browser is Firefox 15.0

The problem you are seeing is probably connected to the way OpenLaszlo replicates the behavior of clicking through Sprites or visual elements in the Flash runtime for the DHTML/JavaScript runtime. Until recently browsers didn't support that kind of functionality directly. Therefore the OpenLaszlo team had to use a workaround, which is described in detail in this comment on LPP-5447.
Clickdivs exist to have independent control over clickable sprites,
without interference from regular divs. They are placed in a separate
copy of the regular lzdiv sprite hierarchy so we have more control.
This also provides a place to put focused inputtext divs so they are
in the foreground and clicking/dragging to edit works properly.
The clickdiv functionality seems to be broken from time to time with browser updates or due to regressions. In 2012 some improvements to the DHTML runtime click-through functionality were done, using newer browser features in Firefox (which now allows to click through div elements using the CSS style pointer-events). Since the clickdiv functionality is part of the LFC, fixing that functionality in your application is not advised.
You can test if the inputtext works by tabbing through the components until your inputtext element has the focus and start typing. If the text can be entered as expected, but you cannot click the component with your mouse to select it, it's definitely a clickdiv problem.
Update: Tested with OpenLaszlo 4.9.0 and various browsers
I've tested with OpenLaszlo 4.9.0, DHTML runtime and IE9, Firefox as well as Chrome, using the test case attached to LPP-9934: All browsers show that specific bug behavior. If the bug has not been filed, please file a JIRA bug.
Im using the Ie developer toolbar for IE6. By selecting an element I can see the CSS being applied to it. Is there a way of seeing other overridden styles the way you can with firebug?

I don't know about the developer toolbar, but DebugBar will show you all CSS rules applied to the element you are looking for, even if it is overridden by another one.
