Advanced IIS tutorials or scenario based learning - iis

Please anyone can provide me website link for IIS advanced tutorial or youtube channels where I can get complete knowledge about IIS

I think the best IIS learning tutorial is Microsoft's official documentation on IIS. I have read other blogs about IIS, but the content is not systematic and not as complete as the official documentation.
After all, IlS is a basic Internet service based on Microsoft Windows provided by Microsoft. It is the only official Web server on the Microsoft Windows platform, so the content covered by the official documents is also the most comprehensive.
In addition, this document is about the function and structure of various elements of the IIS configuration file, which can be learned together with the official documentation.
Hope my answer helps you.

Building an App in SharePoint Online

I have a client that wanted an easier way for his team members to build/update pages on their site, their site is heavily customized with a lot of JavaScript. The issues is that when a team member wanted to add a new section to the page they had consult a dev person to hard code in the desired features. So we decided to create customizable web parts of those features making the site more self-serviceable.
When I first started I found some documentation that said to use visual studios to build the web part using sandbox code, upload it to the site and then they would just need to activate it to deploy it on the site. Buuut unbeknownst to me code based sandbox solutions are no longer supported in Sharepoint and therefore the web parts we built could not be deployed. I was then told that I needed to build it as an Add-in, but as I started building the add-ins I found that the customizable field properties (i.e. ability to change background color, text style/color and banner color) that I want are not implementable as a add-ins.
So now I’m back at square one and I don’t know if it’s even possible to build a web part as a add-in or do I need to go a different route?
Any thoughts or links to sources you can provide would be HUGELY appreciated!
Thanks
Terek
In SharePoint 2016 things have changed a lot from the traditional model which was the classic way of building web parts. The way you worked before is called "classic", the new way is called "modern", and the way to get your dev environment is the following (brace yourself, it is a long answer):
1) In SP2016/Online you will need to configure your dev machine with the following environment, installing the following:
NodeJS Long Term Support version
Yeoman (which will be used to create web parts)
GULP (which will play the role of virtual web server)
Once the three components above are installed, you will install the Yeoman SharePoint Generator to create the SharePoint Web Parts, Yeoman simplifies the process of creating things by delivering templates ready to use and making all the configurations standard, you gonna love this guy!
To configure your machine see the following link:
https://dev.office.com/sharepoint/docs/spfx/set-up-your-development-environment
2) In SP2016/SP Online, you will develop for SPFx (SharePoint Framework), Microsoft has made significant efforts to address the changes and help developers to embark on this new journey by publishing training and educational material at GitHub, YouTube, and on its official website (I will add link below), but for the purpose of helping you, please follow this tutorial, it helped me to learn how to develop Modern Web Parts for SP 2016/Online:
https://dev.office.com/sharepoint/docs/spfx/web-parts/get-started/build-a-hello-world-web-part
3) From the tutorial above, you will get a fully functional Modern Web Part that can be deployed to SP2016/Online, you will see the new modern architecture allows you that old experience of "sandboxing" web parts in a faster way without, thus solving your problem of constant updating/refactoring components in a live production environment. This way now allows you to constantly update the code and see the results in real-time , you will be able to see results on your dev environment by calling: https://localhost:4321/temp/workbench.html and at same time on your SP environment. for example: http://portal.company.com/_layouts/workbench.aspx

GitHub repository with the full documentation, samples and extras for the SPFx and PnP (this is another story for another time):

I hope it helps you!

What are the steps for migrating from Parse to Azure Mobile Services?

For those who've already migrated from Parse's Cloud Code to Azure's Mobile Services or those who have a good enough grasp of both to know how this would be done: Can you outline the high-level steps for migrating off of Parse and into Azure?
My concerns:
Parse has an excellent ACL system but I wonder if there are scripts to translate it into Azure's DBs and tables.
I wonder what's a close mock-equivalent of Parse's JS SDK so that I could Simply swap out Parse.. with Azure.. and still have code running seamlessly.
Is this a pipe-dream?
Parse enables you to export files in a JSON format. You will find this feature under the Settings tab for your Parse app.
Since the announcement of the Parse shutdown, Microsoft has posted guidance on migrating from Parse here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-welcomes-parse-developers/
Perhaps a bit too late for the OP but hope it helps.

Does anyone know of a feature filled forum package for Umbraco 4.03?

I was wondering if anyone has built or know of a decent forum package for Umbraco 4.03??
I've had a little play with this but its a bit basic
http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-forum-package
and
http://our.umbraco.org/projects/uforum-basics
I've found this article on how to integrate YAF forum but would rather have one which fits a bit better..
http://dawoe.blogspot.com/2009/02/intergrate-yet-another-forum-193rc2.html
Of course I know one answer, write or extend one of the above :) Any help would be gratefully received.
uForum is used to power the Our Umbraco community - so that's the current recommended forum package.
YAF is a fully-featured forum/bulletin-board web-application, which can be integrated with Umbraco (using an ASP.NET Membership Provider). Aside from that YAF is standalone.
Update: There is a new package called nForum.
I guess it depends on your requirements.
What features are lacking, clearly you know what you want so any guidance on what the forum should include will help.
Pretty much any asp.net based forum software would work with Umbraco. I guess the main thing would be the integration with the Membership provider in Umbraco. In this case Any forum software that could use a custom ASP.NET membership provider would integrate pretty much seamlessly.
There are plenty of opensource and commercial forum packages available for ASP.NET, just find one that matches your requirements and look at integrating it or running it alongside Umbraco.

Build CMS in SharePoint

I am an asp.net (C#) developer and have been developing CMS systems for quite a while and now I need to develop a CMS in SharePoint.
Can you please suggest me steps, methods or tutorials or step by step procedures (free links) for developing a CMS in SharePoint?
Someone has asked a similar question and got an excellent response here.

Where does the language Databasic originate?

Does anyone know where Databasic originates from, and any resources that could help me learn this language?
I'm assuming it's Basic but looking at some sample code there are database-specific features.
I recommend looking at the official documentation: http://download.northgate-is.com/reality/V14%20Manuals/help.htm
The company's web page also might have some useful information: http://www.northgate-reality.com/products.php
There is also DataBASIC that was developed by Metso Automation. It is a Basic variant that includes Database access commands, and has been used in Metso and Telvent products. I've been unable to find any Web resources on it, and depend on the documentation that comes with my Telvent product.
