Android Studio JSOUP Best practice - android-studio

I write app on Java. In my app I have many AsyncTasks with JSOUP inside. But AsyncTask is deprecated, so I found a lot of variants for change:
Volley
RxJava
Threads
Executers
Coroutines
I want to ask what is the best choice for JSOUP instead of AsyncTask?

How to use Android Studio Activities

I'm new to Kotlin and Android studio, I previously completed a project of mine with KivyMD, I want to replicate the project with Kotlin using Android studio, the project has 56 screens, I've learnt that activities represents screen in Android Studio, which means I'll have to create 55 more activities in additional to MainActivity, thinking that might be a bit much I googled if they is a limit to number of activities I can create I found it's 10..
So how do I put the contents of other screens? or Could I just go ahead and create all 56 activities??

Jetpack is a bunch of libraries created to ease app development and help people follow best practices, and the official recommendation is a single-Activity app:
Navigation
While activities are the system provided entry points into your app's UI, their inflexibility when it comes to sharing data between each other and transitions has made them a less than ideal architecture for constructing your in-app navigation. Today we are introducing the Navigation component as a framework for structuring your in-app UI, with a focus on making a single-Activity app the preferred architecture.
By using the Navigation component, your Activity is basically a container for Fragments, which act as your "screens". Navigation handles a lot of the boilerplate for swapping them in and out and maintaining history, and you focus more on connecting them together in a navigation graph.
It's a lot to learn at first, but it's definitely worth it, and if you're going to be messing with 56 destinations then you'll probably end up saving a lot of time letting it handle the bulk of the work! Here's a codelab tutorial you can do to get up to speed with it, and here's the documentation which starts with the basics and gets to some of the more complex uses

MVC practices through Node?

I'm a front-end developer with a desire to learn more on functional programming and template engine processing through JavaScrit.
I'm currently learning the Node platform, which I initiate through Visual Studio Code terminal to build custom JavaScript apps. But I want to take Node further. Does Node provide any good resources on building an MVC (Model View Controller) like applications?
Just to give a little background, I just finished a course in MVC 5 for ASP.NET (which I really enjoyed through Visual Studio 2017), but would like something similar to that which is JavaScript based.

On top of node.js you can use different frameworks, one of the most important is express but there are many others, look at nodeframework.

How well would MvvmCross and CSLA.net work together in a multi-platform strategy (ASP.NET MVC, WP, WPF, WinRT, Win8, Android, iOS)

Long time lurker, first time questioner here :)
I have been looking into our company's next software system architecture. We have been using CSLA.net, to some extent, as our business object framework and are thinking of building our new architecture around it. CSLA.net has support for the platforms mentioned in the title and we are looking for mvvm framework that would work well with it.
At the moment we only support windows environments but are also looking to support at least Android and iOS (also mono in general is under consideration). We are looking to share as much of the code as possible between the platforms and MvvmCross seems like really nice piece of mvvm (+) framework, especially in that context. I have watched few n+1 videos and what I have seen so far has been very impressive. I also like the Stuart's style of introducing the framework and concepts around it.
Has anyone tried to build a cross platform application that uses both of these frameworks (CSLA.net and MvvmCross)? If yes, what have been your experiences like? Also if Stuart could comment on the issue of how to merg the viewmodels of the two frameworks. I remember Rocky (Rockford Lhotka) recommending, as a general tip when working with mvvm frameworks, to inherit CSLA.net viewmodelbase(not viewmodel) and implement also mvvm framework's requirements into that class. I've personally never used CSLA, but I have talked with it's original author, Rocky, both by email and in person.
CSLA presents itself as a business model object layer and that it can very successfully interoperate with independent Mvvm frameworks - see Rocky's post on CSLA+Mvvm
MvvmCross provides the more application and UI level support - and leaves application authors free to choose how they write their business services and models.
Because of this, yes I think it should be possible and even straight-forward to use both of the frameworks together if you want to. To get started, it might be useful to write some prototypes - and perhaps to look at the way other integration has been done - e.g. CSLA+Caliburn integration

I'd much rather see this type of article from someone who understands and uses CSLA. I would encourage all members of the MvvmCross community to contribute their own blog posts, articles, videos and github samples.
One caveat to this advice: I don't know if CSLA support Portable Class Libraries - if it doesn't then you'll probably need to use file-linking rather than PCLs in your app
Yes, you can use a multitude of MVVM frameworks; I've used CaliburnMicro and our own custom MVVM with success. If you haven't checked out Rocky's eBook series, you should definitely do so. One of the big gotchas is the limitations on reflection in Silverlight, hence also in WP8 and WinRT, so some reading up on that is well-advised.
Regarding Portable Class Libraries, you can't those for CSLA business objects (they require more stuff than is available in PCLs), so you do have to do the project linking. Typically, write the complete class in the .NET libary w/ pre-compiler directives, such as

around code that can't be complied for Silverlight/WP8. I do use PCLs for some basic stuff, like enums and constants, but not for the business classes.
Xamarin have just released some updates that mean the latest framework 4.5 with async features can shortly be implemented...

Implementing dialogs from resource

I'm currently trying to port an application from owl to vcl.
In my old projekt-file I was able to load dialogs with something like
TBatchAcDialog(TWindow* parent) : TAPDialog(parent, BATCH_DIALOG)
However, using TTaskDialog instead it doesn't support the second argument.
I have found an explanation for the user interface designer that when rightclicking on a menu you can load the first declared menu from a rc-file.
However, I don't really know how to load those dialogs as dialogs in this IDE and linking them to my classes again.
Does anyone of you know about this or could link me to an article about a similar problem? I seem to have failed finding a proper solution although implementing rc-dialogs seems to be a common problem to me.

What is your exact goal? To be able to build the application with C++ Builder, or to use VCL instead of OWL?
If you want to use VCL for the dialogs, then you cannot port them, you need to rewrite all the UI from scratch, as VCL is very different from the standard Windows dialogs.
If you want just to build the application with C++ Builder, then you can do so by upgrading to OWLNext - it is an open-source upgrade for the OWL framework and works with the modern compilers like C++ Builder and Visual C++.
You can also use OWLNext for a gradual migration to VCL - as VCL and OWL can co-exist in the same application, so you can migrate your old OWL application to C++ Builder, write any new UI in VCL, and gradually rewrite the old UI in VCL - it might be easier and safer than rewriting the whole application with VCL.
C++Builder does not have any native functionality that wraps resource dialogs in classes. You have to set that up manually in your own code if you need it. Otherwise, just use Win32 API functions like CreateDialog() when working with resource dialogs, or else redesign your UI to make use of VCL TForm windows instead of resource dialogs.
TTaskDialog is not what you think it is. It is just a wrapper for the Win32 API TaskDialogIndirect() function (Vista and later only), which is not related to what you are attempting to accomplish.

Objective C interface and C# core

I am trying to port a C# window's application to ipad. I compiled everything on monotouch and it runs well. Now, I need to make an iPad user interface. If I implement the UI in Objective C, how hard is it to integrate it with my C# core? I saw monotouch can call objective C library, but I am doing the opposite direction. Any help is appreciate.
There's currently no support for you to execute the C# code from Objective-C. Your best bet is to just stay in MonoTouch and finish the iPad application with C#.
Working with UIKit in C# is at least as simple as it is with Obj-C, plus you get all the benefits of not having to deal with Memory allocation and the C# language and .NET framework. Developing UI code with lambda expressions and linq is a beatiful thing. Most obj-C sample code can be translated one-to-one to C# code, so almost every sample you find can be easily understood.
There is one possibility, you make your UI into a library, then you bind the library to C#, and then your C# code calls your Objective-C code to the UI, and this one in turn, calls back to C# for its business logic.
You are better off doing the UI directly in C# as well.
