Android Studio app icon not showing in new Android models - android-studio

I have a simple app in Android Studio. I've changed the app icons from default (all of them, all sizes, with the round ones too). It works on the emulator and on Samsung Galaxy S2, but not in newer models (like Galaxy J7). Perhaps someone knows why?
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Adi.

I just followed this instructions:

and all works fine.
Greetings,
Adi

Hey guys. I just installed to flutter and android studio. So, I new installed to emulator. I started to follow a tutorial and in there, instructor's emulator's name was in the devices label but mine is not like it(it says no devices. As i show in picture). Also, when i was click over devices button I can open my emulator. My question is, can my emulator work as manuel, with my manuel click or do you have any advices for me about this? Thanks in advance.
When you start your emulator for the first time, you must authorize your computer to access it by enabling the USB debugging on it in the Phone Settings and by changing the Use USB for to Transferring files

How to user sketch app sources templates on android studio?

I'm looking for a way to use sketchappsources.com templates on android studio, I found out that the sketch official application is working only on MAC OS and there is an alternative called Lunacy (by Icon8) that works on windows, the problem is that even after importing the downloaded theme on lunacy I have no idea how am I supposed to get the xml/drawables that I can import into android studio, any one can help please?
Thank you
You can simply use some plugins which are created exactly for this purpose.
For example Sympli would let you to drag and drop your design into Swift or Android Studio in no time.
There is also some basic tutorial on their website for getting on board.

App not starting on Android Studio emulator

I'm using Android Studio on a Windows 10, and I'm trying to run an app I created. The emulator starts up with a black screen and then the word android pops up, but then nothing happens. I know other people have posted about this topic, but none of the solutions work. I don't have an actual phone, so I can't plug it into a real phone. What should I do here? Thanks in advance.
Try this

It's a much better emulator than what comes with Android Studio, and it should work. In fact, Google even has plug ins for it because they even admit it's much better.

Android Studio - How to add a Screen Size Definition

I am building an Android Application using Android Studio.
I want my layout to be as precise as possible, however, it seems that the list of Android Virtual Devices where we can render the layout to is limited to Nexus Devices as shown in this screenshot below:
and the "Generic Phones and Tablets" do not have much screen size and resolution variety, so I decided to add my device definition as such:
However, it did not appear in the devices that Android Studio can render a layout to in the Design view of a layout.
Solved
After restarting Android Studio, the newly created AVD (Samsung Galaxy Note 1) now appeared in my list of devices that I can preview the rendering to when I view my layout.
I think all I had to do was to restart Android Studio for it to appear. It works now.
The solution to this, is to restart Android Studio. The new devices should appear at the bottom of the list.
For others having similar issues, you may want to check the API level of your AVDs vs the compileSDK of your project. I've found that, at least for Wear OS AVDs, my devices that target an earlier API don't show up. Once I made them the same as my compile SDK version, they showed up.

Can you use Android Studio for Samsung Gear 2?

I have an app that I would like to build wearable support across platforms. I got Android Wear support, I got Gear Fit support. Now I am trying to figure out the Tizen SDK and if I can integrate that with Android Studio. Is that possible?
I won't say it's not possible, but Android Studio/IntelliJ does not support the Tizen Wearable build process at this time. I don't know what the long-term plans are for the Tizen SDK team--if whether they will continue with Eclipse as it is or start providing support for A/S themselves.
A Tizen Wearable app is for all intents and purposes a web app with a few config.xml changes and some custom folders, so there may be a way to cobble support in if you were really desperate enough. Behind the scenes, here is what the Tizen IDE/Eclipse is doing. Perhaps this will give you enough of a start.
