Create a student account in Azure - azure

I would like to start with Azure Machine Learning and I have seen that if you have a student account, you can get a 100$ and access to Azure Machine Learning for free ... But when I try to register, Azure ask me a Windows Account (hotmail, outlook...) and my student account is gmail. So what Can I do?
Thanks in advance!

Please just follow the process. To use Azure, you need to have a Microsoft account. The process will ask you to verify your Student status and school email address, then you are good to go and get the credit. Please let me know if you have other questions. Hope you enjoy using Azure Machine Learning Service.
Regards,
Yutong

Can you add Defender to an Azure Sql Database with the CLI, ARM or Powershell?

I found this connect request to add it, but it doesn't say anything about Powershell. I'm guessing it's not available yet, but can anyone confirm that?

Azure Defender only provide the Portal way to enable the defender for Azure SQL database.
There isn't a CLI, ARM or Powershell way to add it. We can continue to vote the feedback that product team could see it and give us the answer.
The directly way to get answer is ask Azure Support, but it takes money and time. If you need, you could think about that.
HTH.

Roles in Azure. Permission to view invoices

I really need some basic help with Azure. I purchased Microsoft 365 for my company (10 users) from GoDaddy (a mistake). GoDaddy support has little to no knowledge of Azure. With Microsoft 365, you get access to the Azure portal, and you get a directory in Azure Active Directory that looks like NETORG12345678.onmicrosoft.com. Then you can create tenants and subscriptions below that directory.
I must have done something like that, because now I am getting emails from Microsoft saying that my subscription is about to expire and I should pay the bill.
Rather embarrassing to say, but I cannot even figure out how to do this. I am the global administrator for my directory/tenant (if that is even the right terminology). I keep getting error messages that I don't have the appropriate permissions to view my bill, and I should try asking myself for permission to do that. Sometimes, the error messages say I should try switching directories, but there is only one directory, I think.
I wish there was some appropriate training for this, but I can't find anything. Sorry for the noob question.
If you are the owner/administrator you can navigate to Cost Management + Billing and see what is your subscription and the status of it,
You have mentioned that you purchased Office 365 through GoDaddy. In this case GoDaddy could possibly be owning the subscription on which they have on-boarded you. If GoDaddy support doesn't have much idea, you can mention this to Microsoft support. From what I understand you will be paying GoDaddy which would take care of billing on your behalf, I guess.

how to create amazon sandbox account

I am working on an MVC core project as a part of self-learning and I want Amazon Pay as the payment option. I am new to the amazon pay and I want to create an amazon sandbox account for testing purposes. I have gone through the documents in the following URL "https://developer.amazon.com/docs/amazon-pay-hosted/set-up-test-account.html". Then I have created a regular amazon account and tried to create an amazon pay account. For this, I have tried to create a business account using the regular Amazon account. but couldn't complete the registration process because the "seller amazon" website needs business details, credit card information, etc.
Is this the right way to create an amazon sandbox account or are there any other options?
You need to visit this link - https://developer.amazon.com/docs/amazon-pay-onetime/register.html
It Says "To get started quickly, you can also create a developer account that can only access the Sandbox environment and complete registration later: US, EU (French, German, Italian, Spanish), UK, JP."
Click on US/UK and register. This should create a sandbox account.

Submit trial version of application on azure marketplace

I would like to submit an offering to the Azure Marketplace but I want the offering to be a trial version only. So, the user will have access to it for a certain period only and it will be free.
The offering I want to submit is a VM offering and right now I have an image of the VM ready.
I did not find much information on how can I achieve this or whether it is possible to only submit the trial version on Azure marketplace.
If you want to create a trial version VM offer, please set License Model as "Usage-based monthly billed SKU" in SKU tab when you create offer. For more details, please refer to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/marketplace/cloud-partner-portal/virtual-machine/cpp-skus-tab.

Buying a domain through azure fails

So I created a Free trial account with Azure. I have Developed an MCV 5 web application, hosted it on the xxxx.azurewebsites.net and I am happy. I want to now buy a Custom domain so that the web application can run from there, but it fails to order the domain ? Why ??
I have upgraded to Pay-as-you-go and have changed from Free to Shared, which saying it allows custom domains. Yet... still failing.
Am I missing something? Or need to change something to allow purchasing of a Custom domain ?
I got this sorted. This is something I havnt seen people explaining, so those that are new with Azure(Like me), wont know this.
Even if you change the subscription to Pay-As-You_Go, it is still under the Free Trial, so you are not able to buy a custom domain. You will need to get in contact with the Azure team in your country(There is none here in South Africa, so i needed to go to their contact form on the azure site and submit it). An Azure team member phoned me from Microsoft India and converted my account to Pay-as-you-go, which meant I lost my free credit. Only THEN, could I buy a custom domain.
Hope this helps someone else.
In my experience, it can be repro in the free trail account.
After setup in the Azure Portal then you will get 200$ for free trail account.
In my option, it is just valid for the Azure resource. You can get the detail info from the link https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/?b=16.36.
It may not be used for 3rd product. Buy domain is just the function the Azure integrated with GoDaddy. So when you try to buy the custom domain it will be failed.
If you try to use custom domain ,please refer to Configure a custom domain name in Azure App Service (Purchased directly from GoDaddy)
