Sharepoint site icon keeps reverting to old icon - sharepoint

Okay so I'm using sharepoint online and the site I'm developing is pretty much done. There's only one issue, the icon.
I can change the site icon to the company logo with ease, but seemingly at random it just switches back to the previous icon. I've had a look in the site assets folder and it turns out every time it happens the previous logo is re-added to the folder and set as the site icon automatically.
I have no idea why this is happening and need to fix it quickly as it is the last issue.
Maybe it's an easy fix? May be something to do with the group that it's attached to? Maybe there's a way to overwrite it using CSS?
Any tips or advice?

I managed to solve the issue.
The logo was synced with the office 365 group that the sharepoint site was linked to.
I went into Outlook and deleted the group photo, then changed the site logo again and it hasn't changed since.

Issues with converting HTML file to master page in SharePoint 2013

Right now I have an HTML file and I'm trying to convert it to a master page. I'm using a VM on CloudShare.
So I create a new site collection and go into the site settings. Under “Look and Feel”, Design Manager isn’t there so I’ve found that if I go to “Site Collection Features” under “Site Collection Administration”, and activate “SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure” Design Manager will show up. So I go into design manager, but under Edit Master Pages none of the file or folder names will show up, and when I convert the html file the status column doesn’t show up either, so I can’t go to preview it or to the snippets gallery.
The only thing I can find online is to create a new site collection, which I’ve tried a few times. This happened on my old CloudShare VM, and creating a new site collection fixed it, but it’s not working for this. Can anyone help?
Personally when working with new master pages I have found that the best application to use is SharePoint Designer. You should be able to download it for free. Here are the instructions to configure SharePoint designer using it with CloudShare.

Figured it out - I made a new site collection and set it to a Publishing site template and it fixed the issue.

netsuite site navigation setup

Trying this again.
First of all, I apologize for my ignorance-I have never used Netsuite before. I recently started at a company that has been using Netsuite. Their site is already set up and in my job I have to edit the site on a daily basis. The hardest thing I have discovered so far is the lack of instructional information online for Netsuite and the organization. I am trying to change out or delete an rollover image on the side navigation bar. I can find all of the images for the initial navigation and their corresponding rollover image, but cannot find any of the subcategory images that come off these. I cannot find where these are set up either in Netsuite.
If I delete the image, will it disappear from the navigation bar or cause an error?
I've tried looking through the source code of the home page, but no luck there. Any suggestions on how to figure this out on a site already set up?

Custom master page not refreshing upon deployment in Sharepoint 2010 Foundation

I use VS2010 on Server 2008 R2 with Sharepoint 2010 Foundation.
I have created a custom master page following instructions from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg447066.aspx (activating my custom page as feature), and was delighted with the results. But as soon as I changed the images and attempted to deploy them through VS2010, I noticed that my changes were not showing in the page (which was still showing the old images).
Useful observations:
It's a Sandboxed solution.
I checked that wsp is built with the new images, and so it was.
When I retract my solution, I also go to Master Page Gallery, and
delete my custom master page from there to make sure I start from
scratch. No difference.
My SP Designer does not give me an option to "revert to site
definition".
My "Look and Feel" section in central admin does not offer a
"reset to site definition" option.
Checking "CustomizedPageStatus" property of the SPFile for my master page shows that it's set to "none", and indeed, calling RevertContentStream throws an exception. This indicates it may not necessarily be the unghosting issue.
Does anybody know where my images get deployed to, and what the cause of this problem may be? The "Deployment Location" property does not lead to the correct location (in fact, I can't even see my Feature's folder). Could it be something to do with the way variables in the path - {SharePointRoot}\Template\Features{FeatureName}\StyleLibrary\Branding101\Images\ - are parsed?
I am new to Sharepoint, so all and any help would be much appreciated.
Since this is a Sandboxed solution, everything gets stored in the content database, accessible through SharePoint Designer 2010. In SP Designer, open the site you are working on, then look under "All Files" in Site Objects: that's where I found my masterpages, images, etc.
Deployment paths (displayed in module properties in VS2010) are just red herring, as no deployment to the file system itself takes place. Hope this helps somebody else!

Title Bar with a picture in Sharepoint

We have the standard Sharepoint site for our group at work and was wondering if we could add into the title bar where our group name is (like to the right of it), or above the announcements/calender widgets a
picture that resembles our group
and a mission statement right next to it
Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can edit the page (More likely the master page) for the site using SharePoint Designer which is free from Microsoft. If you upload the image you want to a document library you can use that url for the img src.
SharePoint Designer 2010
SharePoint Designer 2007
But a simpler solution would be to edit the page, add a new web part and choose the Content Editor Web Part where you can put your mission statement and an image (that you previously uploaded to a document library).
You don't specify which version of SharePoint you are using, but changing the logo of a site hasn't changed much since the 2003 version. Office.Microsoft.com shows the user perspective of changing a logo. You could change the same setting through the API.

can not add webpart to sharepoint page

i create a website on my local machine but i can't add webpart to web page, it don't rise any error but th webpart don't display to the page. anyone help me.
Thanks
I know this is an old question, but it's ranking high in Google results, so I figured I'd answer it anyway.
Make sure you're not running any code in the layout page's codebehind that calls and then closes SPContext.Current.Web. I had this exact behavior and that was the culprit
To test, add a different web part to a default page layout. If it adds, then it's either your web part or your code behind. If you can't add any web parts to your custom layout, it's your code behind. If it's just your web part, it's your web part.
Remember, SPContext.Current.Web returns a reference to the current SPWeb object. SharePoint will close the object itself when it's done, and closing it early can cause "unpredictable behavior."
We had the same problem with Firefox some time ago, but the problem disappeared when we installed SP2 for SharePoint 2007. The only thing that surprises me is that you also have the problem with IE.
