Can you rename a process or object in BluePrism? - blueprism

I made a spelling error in the name of a Process
As processes cannot be deleted once they are run and the context menu that appears when you right click them does not offer the option to rename, is there any way to correct this?

You can go to the main page or initialize page in the case of objects, and double click on the box that is to the left of the start stage. The box looks something like that:
(Obviously the text will be different)
When this opens, you should see something like the below. Simply change the name, click on OK and save.

Saving the whole process again (save as) is the only way I know of

"Why you see this menu"

I broke something in my image (no idea what) and now my right-click menus only say "Why you see this menu, debug" -- what can I do to fix this ?
I can't really tell what happened unless you do what that text tells you:
click on the menu entry
in the workspace that appears evaluate menu debug
post the contents of the debugger here
update
We need to find out what error is being signaled. Open the debugger again like you did, then select the first entry. Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Copy to clipboard" from the popup.
Post the stack trace in you clipboard here.
Alternative: Put the whole image somewhere I can download it and I'll take a peek.

The reason why Smalltalk at: #Behavior put: Behavior didn't change anything is that Behavior is a global reference equivalent to Smalltalk at: #Behavior. The effect is that you store the RTGraphBuilder class at the same location again :).
Try this:
Smalltalk at: #Behavior put: ClassDescription superclass
The superclass of ClassDescription is Behavior and that link is independent of the global lookup.

Execute batch-file from browser

i have got a batch-File. I mostly have to execute it when i'm in my browser (Firefox).
So i dont want to go to the directory and execute it. I want to have something in my browser.
First i thought about making a firefox-add-on. Something like a button, which executes my batch-file. But I failed.
Then i made a bookmark to the file, but it only shows me the content of the batch-file.
Is there any other option to execute a batch-file from the browser?
EDIT: I have found an add-on that creates an button to execute files:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/external-application-button/
I don't know a way you can run this from a browser, but perhaps you don't need to. I'd create a global keyboard shortcut. You haven't mentioned your OS so I've assumed Windows.
Go to your desktop, right-click and select New > Shortcut.
Browse to your .bat file.
Name the shortcut whatever you like - probably best to use yourfile.bat shortcut or similar.
Right-click your newly-created shortcut and select Properties.
On the Shortcut tab, click into the Shortcut key area.
Press Ctrl+Alt+B. I've used B for bat - you can use what you like, although some shortcuts may be used already in your browser - test and adjust if necessary.
Click OK - you're good to go!

Excel 2007-VBA, Right Click Buttons

I am having a strange Excel 2007 issue, and I am not quite sure how to explain this. So bear with me please....
I have created a few right click buttons to call various backend VBA functions that I have written. They were working fine earlier today, and now for some reason, a button is appearing that is not from the code in my worksheet. When you click it, it is attempting to open another worksheet and execute code from it. The two files are not in the same directory nor are they named anything similar. I deleted the file that the button is trying to execute from and now it just simply gives me an error 400.
So, I couldn’t figure that out, and have since deleted every single scrap of code in the backend of this file, and the button still appears. Any ideas what could be causing this? It seems like maybe its mixing files up or saving a copy somewhere in a temp directory and trying to access that instead of the actual code that is written in the VBA. Is there a cache I need to clear out or something?
I know I didn’t exactly do a great job describing this, so I will be more than happy to provide any and all other details that you may need. Just let me know what is going on.
EDIT #1 -- New Information ==
I can even open a new, completely blank excel file and the right click button is still there.
EDIT #2 -- Tried Diagnostics ==
I just tried running the Excel diagnostics and it found no problems. It is strange, it is like this macro has somehow became global or stored in some type of cache or something.
I hope I'm understanding your issue correctly.
If you know what right-click (context) menus the button is appearing in you should be able to fix them with a Reset command. For example if it's appearing in the Cell context menu, you could try this in the VBE's Immediate window:
Application.Commandbars("Cell").Reset
This will reset the entire menu to its default state.
Also, you might be interested in a tool I wrote, MenuRighter, that allows you to tweak your right-click menus. It also has a setting to show you the Caption and ID of any context menu.

How to force IntelliJ to always search in "Whole Project"

I like to use the Find in Path function CTRL+SHIFT+F, that searches for text strings in several files.
One thing I often run into though, is that I search for something that I know exists in at least one file, I get zero results or I find just some of the files that contain the search term.
Then I realise that the Scope setting in the Find Dialog box has been set to Module or Directory for some reason rather that "Whole project" which is what I almost always want.
What fools me here is that this only seems to happen occasionally - often I'll have the scope set to Whole project like I want to, but sometimes it will be something else.
How does IntelliJ decide which scope to use?
Also, is there some setting that can be used to force IntelliJ to always select "Whole project" as the default?
Just collapse the project tab before: Command + 1 or Alt + 1
The default selection depends on the context which launched the search. If you have the project tab open with a folder/file selected it will search in that folder or the parent of that file.
To search by default just close that panel (this will make the context be the whole project) and press the search shortcut and it will be scope properly.
Not really a solution, but how to avoid using the mouse for this:
When the dialog is open, press Alth before pressing enter. This will cause the scope to be set to Whole project.

Button-Triggered Insert File Only Works If Portal Contains Edit Box for Container Field

I'm working with a FileMaker Pro 11 database that contains a portal. I've added an "attach file" button to the portal which triggers a simple "Insert File[portal_table::attachment_field]" script. When I click on the button, I would expect an insert file dialog box to appear. Instead, nothing happens.
If I add a text box to the portal, setting the text box's field to portal_table::attachment_field, the attach button starts working.
Why am I required to add this text box to the portal in order for my button-triggered script to work? Is there a way I can modify my script so that it works without requiring the text box's presence?
Thank you,
Ben
Generally speaking FileMaker's "Insert..." commands behave as if a user has done an action manually (activating script triggers, selecting the field, etc.) including the requirement that the field actually be displayed on the screen.
Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, there is not a way to use "Set Field" to specify a file to be added to a container field. One possible work-around is the following:
Freeze Window
Set Variable [$RecordIndex to RelatedTable::Index]
Go to Layout [A Layout of RelatedTable specifically for inserting files]
Enter Find Mode
Set Field [Index to $RecordIndex]
Perform Find
Insert File
Go to Layout [Original Layout]
Alternately, it may be easier to just include the field on the layout at a very small size (1 pixel x 1 pixel).
