When my users log in, one of my script appends ?member=logged to the end of the url.
However this is causing problems on my homepage which is throwing up a 404 error .
How can I redirect all requests to /?member=logged to / ?
I tried the following but it did not work for me
RewriteRule ^/?member=logged$ /$1 [L,R=301] [L,R]
To redirect http://example.com/?member=logged to http://example.com/ you can use the following RewriteRules .
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /\?member=logged [NC]
RewriteRule ^/?$ http://example.com/? [L,R]
Or
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^member=logged$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^/?$ http://exmaple.com/? [L,R]

I need to redirect all the URL not www with index.php in the path to the same in the www version.
I wrote this:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/index.php/it/(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.DOMAIN.it/$1/? [L,R=301]
but the result is:
https://www.DOMAIN.it/index.php/it/SOMETHING/
I need:
https://www.DOMAIN.it/SOMETHING/
what's wrong?
Thanks all
You can use this :
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/index.php/it/(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^index\.php/(.*)$ https://www.DOMAIN.it/$1/? [L,R=301]
The reason why index.php is appending to your redirected URL is because the regex (.*) matches the full URL path and you just need to match a specific part of the URL or everything that comes bafter /index.php .
Solved, I removed the request URL:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^(.*)\.domain\.it$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^index.php/it/(.*)$ https://www.domain.it/$1/ [R=301,L]
thanks
Im trying to redirect several urls with 3 parameters to different static urls with .htaccess but nothing working.
1.
http://olddomain.com/index.php?id_category=28&controller=category&id_lang=2
to
https://newdomain.com/page1/
http://olddomain.com/index.php?id_category=30&controller=category&id_lang=2
to
https://newdomain.com/page2/
http://olddomain.com/index.php
to
https://newdomain.com
I tried the below code but http://olddomain.com/index.php not going to https://newdomain.com :
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^olddomain.com [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.olddomain.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://newdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301,NC]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id_category=28&controller=category&id_lang=2$
RewriteRule ^index.php$ https://newdomain.com/page1/? [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id_category=30&controller=category&id_lang=2$
RewriteRule ^index.php$ https://newdomain.com/page2/? [R=301,L]
You need to have specific longer matches first and then have rules to remove index.php or domain redirect:
RewriteEngine On
# specific redirects with index.php as optional match
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id_category=28&controller=category&id_lang=2$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(index\.php)?$ https://newdomain.com/page1/? [R=301,L,NC]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^id_category=30&controller=category&id_lang=2$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(index\.php)?$ https://newdomain.com/page2/? [R=301,L,NC]
# remove index.php and redirect to newdmain
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?:www\.)?olddomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(?:index\.php/?)?(.*)$ https://newdomain.com/$1 [L,R=301,NC,NE]
Make sure to clear your browser cache before testing this change.
In case you are taking page's id from id_lang= variable then please try following rules. Please make sure to clear your browser cache before testing your URLs.
RewriteEngine ON
##Rules to redirect to link: https://newdomain.com/page1/ here.
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?:www\.)?olddomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s/index\.php\?id_category=28&controller=category&id_lang=(\d+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule ^ https://newdomain.com/page%1/? [NE,R=301,L]
##Rules to redirect https://newdomain.com/ here.
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(?:www\.)?olddomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s/index\.php\s [NC]
RewriteRule ^ https://newdomain.com [NE,R=301,L]
Trying to get
www.example.com
to go directly to
www.example.com/forum
How can I do this with this configuration? Thanks in advance.
Edit:
Right now I have added below content in .htaccess
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /forum/$1 [L,R=301]
I want result like
https://www.example.com/topic/topic-url/
to
https://www.example.com/forum/topic/topic-url/
With your shown samples, could you please try following. Please clear your browser cache before testing your URLs. Your tried rules will be creating an infinite loop hence it may not be working, I have added a condition if uri doesn't start from forum then only proceed with redirection.
RewriteEngine ON
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^ https://www.example.com%{REQUEST_URI} [NE,R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/forum [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /forum/$1 [L,R=301]
Need help ;)
How to redirect this link?
mydomain.com/selbständige?catid=141&id=141:kredit-für-selbstständige-ohne-schufa
Tested with:
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.+&)?selbständige?catid=141(&.+)?$
RewriteRule ^/$ http://test.com? [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.+&)selbst%E4ndige?catid=141(&.+)?$
RewriteRule ^/$ http://test.com? [R=301,L]
redirect 301 "/selbständige?catid=141&id=141:kredit-für-selbstständige-ohne-schufa" http://test.com
...and so on.
No normal workflow works.
Try :
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /selbst.+ndige\?catid=141&id=141:kredit-f.+r-selbstst.+ndige-ohne-schufa [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://test.com? [L,R]
I used .+ to match against special chars in the uri.
Sorry this has no doubt been asked multiple times before, I just want clarification that the following code will redirect any url on olddomain.com to the newdomain.com homepage not the equivalent url:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.olddomain\.com$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^olddomain\.com$
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
Also if I wanted any subdomain on olddomain.com eg.subdomain.olddomain.com to go to the homepage of newdomain.com what would I have to do? Can I use a universal selector or would I have to write a condition for each subdomain like so:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^subdomain.olddomain.com$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://subdomain.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.subdomain.olddomain.com$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://subdomain.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
Both of attempts are not correct as first will redirect:
http://olddomain.com/foobar to http://newdomain.com/foobar
not to the homepage of newdomain. Same is the problem with 2nd rule.
You can use this code in your DOCUMENT_ROOT/.htaccess file:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?olddomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://www.newdomain.com/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?subdomain\.olddomain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^ http://subdomain.newdomain.com/ [R=301,L]
