Hide address bar when opened new tab of another application with $window.open() in chrome

I have two applications: a business application using Angular and a chat application built with NodeJs.
In an Angular controller, I have written code to open the chat application login screen using...
$window.open("http:IPaddress/port/", "_blank","location=0,resizable=yes,top=100,left=20,width=650,height=400")
It is opening the new tab but with with an address bar on it. I want to get rid of the address bar. In IE, by default, the address bar is hidden but on Chrome it is visible.
Could anyone suggest a way to open this new tab as popup without $window.Open() and hide address bar?
can't be turned off, security requirement so users know which site they are actually on.
the only exception might be IE11 running on Win7
The Chromium team has indicated that ignoring the value of location is intended behavior.
You'll need to work around it. One option would be to put the chat view inside the window/tab that's displaying the business application using a chat library like converse.

Cannot set/change default icon for a Chrome webapp (created using Apps Script) in Chrome desktop launcher

I wrote a simple Google Apps script and published it in the Chrome Web Store as an app (I guess "hosted" app. You can find the link here: http://bit.ly/1JTiKLC). I followed the instructions mentioned here:
https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/distribute-web-app
I specified all the required items in the checklist, AFAIK, including icons of the required size. The item is listed and I can download it. However, when it is added in the Chrome desktop launcher, it has the default "apps script" blue icon:
I want to change this but can't find any way to do so. The link above specifies that there is a way to do this for a new tab page (sec. Updating a web app's icon on the New Tab Page). First of all, I cannot see any link that says "specify an alternative image" anywhere as they say. Could someone elaborate on this. Secondly, is there a similar way to change the launcher icon for apps script webapps?
Ok, I found it. Here's the info for someone else who may have the same question: The link appears in the window just after you click "Publish>Register in Chrome Web Store..." in the apps script editor itself. It's not there in the developer dashboard. You can host the image publicly on any site which provides direct links, like imgur.
This will change the icon in the Chrome new page tab (or in "chrome://apps/") as well as the desktop launcher. Cheers :)

How to customize the the POLL UI and Announcement UI in Windows 8.1 app using C# and xaml?

I have implemented ME in Windows Universal 8.1 app. When i create any announcement or any poll it appears in the black screen in the app like below.
But i want to change this UI as per my requirements. How can i change this?
Anybody please help me with a sample code.
Thanks in advance
We don't have a sample for this but you will find the place to customize the appearance on the client side in the "Resources" folder of the SDK in your Windows app solution.
1) Use html/EngagementNotification.html & overlay/EngagementOverlayNotification.xaml to change the base notification which shows up when you set up the campaign from the server side. You can add company logo/branding, images, change the size, orientation etc.
2) Use html/EngagementAnnouncement.html & overlay/EngagementOverlayAnnouncement.xaml to change the subsequent announcement that gets displayed in the form of poll or text or web announcement. Again you can change look and feel etc.
If you are sending a web announcement from the service where you can specify the HTML in the content of your announcement then the HTML content you send from the service gets merged with the HTML you have customized on your client and will be presented such.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!

How is the panel displayed when launching Chrome Hangout extension made to be always on top and pinned?

When launching the Chrome Extension Google-Hangouts, a panel initially appears that lists members and a link/button to create a new Hangout.
This panel is initially pinned to the bottom right of the browser window. When pinned like this, it remains always on top as a browser navigation session continues: users can go to different URLs, change tabs, etc. and that panel stays at the bottom right and stays on top of all other windows (or at least on top of the main browser window).
Once it's unpinned, you can drag it around the window, but it no longer stays always on top.
My question is, how was that achieved - what code, or what functions, do i need to call to create that window/panel so that it stays initially pinned and always on top? Is there some binding to some native code that's involved? Some other approach?
If anyone know and can show or explain, i would be hugely grateful as this feature is key to an extension i'm trying to build.
Thanks a lot!
This may not be an answer but to get a clue of what is happening I extracted the crx file to view its content there are a few OS specific files : ace.dll , libace.so and ace. After researching a bit i found this. This is a plugin. Hangouts extension is using ace plugin which is actually running on your desktop(i'm not sure about this). You can check this article
I found this related post: How to build an chrome extension like Google Hangouts
ACE is actually not what makes the window, Chrome has that capability built in, apparently. Even if you don't enable panels, extensions from Google can still make them, provided your OS is capable.

How to remove IE toolbar and menu bar

We have a asp.net web application which will be used in an intranet environment on IE 6. We want to change the default configuration of the browser so that it's always rendered without the Tool Bars, Menu Bars and Address Bar, just the browser window frame and the status bar should be present.
We were looking at the IEAK toolkit for IE6 but it doesn't seem to have the option of turning all this off though you can turn off certain menus and toolbar options.
Any ideas of how this can be done, is there a group policy setting or something that we can utilize here to get this done?
Thanks for your help.
You have to handle the showing of toolbars, address bar,... before the page is loaded, because it's built client side.
So to solve your problem, I think you should write the first page (Enter page for example) Then when use click on the Enter link you open another page using VBScript or Javascript to remove toolbars, address bar,...
Hope this helps ^^
Have you investigated Kiosk Mode?
Also, you're deploying IE6 at the wrong end of its lifecycle.
It also sounds like your requirement is for an app you're developing; mandating that the browser is configured this way for all sites might make the customers unhappy. If you want to know how to open a browser window without those things for your site, from your site, I'd suggest a repost to StackOverflow.
