I have data outlined like below:

I would like to return the smallest nth unique number for each state.
This formula works where no duplicates exists:
=AGGREGATE(15,6,B$2:B$10/(A$2:A$10=D2),ROW(1:1))
However, it (obviously) returns 11 and 21 twice for 2nd and 4th smallest values.
I have played with FREQUENCY to get a unique list, but it's not working:
=AGGREGATE(15,6,FREQUENCY(IF(A$2:A$10=D2,MATCH(B$2:B$10,B$2:B$10,0),0),ROWS(B$2:B$10)-1),ROW(1:1))
But can't get that too work either. Any ideas on how to make this work?

It checks that it is the first occurrence of the number.
This formula will give you the required result
=AGGREGATE(15,6,B$2:B$10/(A$2:A$10=D2)/(COUNTIF(E$1:E1,B$2:B$10)=0),1)
AGGREGATE finds the smallest value where column A matches D2 and the number isn't included in the cells above

as in the above picture, I need to sum all the values within the table C8:V22 which match
the first three characters of column B(orange),
row 5 for the number(blue),
row 6 for the first character(green),
row 7 for the first three characters(yellow)
The desire result would be the sum of the number in red, which is 10001 + 10081 + 10161 + 10221 = 40464
I tried many different ways to write the formula, one of that is:
=INDEX($B$5:$V$22,
MATCH($D$26,LEFT($B$5:$B$90,3),0),
MATCH(($F$26=$5:$5) * ($G$26=LEFT($6:$6, 1)) * (H26=LEFT($7:$7,3)), 0))
and pressed Ctrl+Shift+Enter to make it as an array formula, but couldn't figure out where is the error.

I also tried using combinations of functions such as SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, search, e.t.c. but still not able figure out the solution.

simply retrieve the sum using your parameters and converting in string to match exactly.
If you have Excel 365 you can use this formula:

Using LET makes the formula more readable - esp. if you name the rules according to your special context.
If you don't have Excel 365 you have to replace the single parameters within SUMPRODUCT with each range/formula
I have an issue in excel where I cannot get it to return a specific value.
I have a table of data like this

the numbers in N1 N2 and N3 can change and are random.
What I need to be able to do is to lookup any number in the table and return the value in the weeks column.
so for example if I was looking for the number 20 it would return w6.
Ive tried various vlookups, Hlookups, Index and Match variations but just dont seem to be able to get this fairly simple thing to work.
Can anybody help me please, before I explode.

= INDEX($A$2:$A$9,MATCH(1,MMULT(($B$2:$D$9=20)+0,{1;1;1}),0))
EDIT A slightly better formula:
= INDEX($A$2:$A$9,MATCH(TRUE,MMULT(($B$2:$D$9=20)+0,{1;1;1})>0,0))
It returns the first Week where a match is found in the table.
Obviously just replace 20 above with whatever value you want to look up.

More generally, instead of hardcoding {1;1;1} into the formula, you can make this dynamic, e.g.
= INDEX($A$2:$A$9,MATCH(1,MMULT(($B$2:$D$9=20)+0,TRANSPOSE((COLUMN($B$1:$D$1)>0)+0)),0))
Also, if you want to search the table from left to right instead of top to bottom, do this:
= INDEX($A$2:$A$9,MATCH(1,MMULT(TRANSPOSE((ROW($A$2:$A$9)>0)+0),($B$2:$D$9=20)+0),0))
Note, both of these are now array formulas (must be entered with Ctrl+Shift+Enter instead of just Enter.

Some days ago i got help from Scott Craner with an formula for a 3D index match which works great.
I have tried expanding on it without any results, hopefully you can point out what i'm doing wrong.

Tried binding just one result with & and the other one with a simple :
nothing has produced a good result in some cases i get a result, in others i do not get anything.
If i only use Group as a lookup term it's not an issue, it returns the correct value, but I'm trying to Index match two cells with two other cells.
I have evaluated the code and it does not return a value and I do not know what i'm doing incorrectly
I am using excel and I have a table of numbers with 6 columns from A to F and more than 1000 rows. For example, from my table,

i want to find if there is at least a row (it must be a row!) that contains the numbers 16 19 20 27. From this example, there is a match, but i don't know how to make a search or formula using four diferent numbers.
I feel like I need to use the match function but can't quite figure it out and I'm not sure about it. Does anyone know how to do this?

This should work:

Put it in a new column in the table. It will return a Yes if the row contains all 4 values, and a No otherwise. You can then filter the new column of Yes/No to search for a row with Yes
I put the four values you are seeking in I1:L1 and the array of data to be searched in A1:F#. Then in column G create a helper column that concatenates A:F into a delimited string. The formula in G1 is:
=":"&A1&":"&B1&":"&C1&":"&D1&":"&E1&":"&F1&":"
where I've used ":" for the delimiter (you can use any char that's not in your data).
The result in G1 is:
:4:17:37:38:47:53:
Now in H1 use this formula to search:
=NOT(ISERR(FIND(":"&$I$1&":",G1)*FIND(":"&$J$1&":",G1)*FIND(":"&$K$1&":",G1)*FIND(":"&$L$1&":",G1)))
Each FIND will return an INT if the value (with leading and trailing delimiters) is found and #VALUE! otherwise. So the product will be an INT if all values are found and #VALUE! otherwise. Wrapping the FINDs inside an ISERR makes the result prettier (TRUE/FALSE instead of #VALUE!), and inverting with NOT returns TRUE when all 4 values are found and FALSE otherwise.

Here's another way --- more elegant (no helper column). As before, I put the four values you are seeking in I1:L1 and the array of data to be searched in A1:F#. Then in column G use this ARRAY formula (CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER):
=NOT(OR(PRODUCT(A1:F1-$I$1)<>0,PRODUCT(A1:F1-$J$1)<>0,PRODUCT(A1:F1-$K$1)<>0,PRODUCT(A1:F1-$L$1)<>0))
Each PRODUCT term checks for the existence of one value and returns 0 when the value is found and a non-zero value otherwise. The results of each of the four PRODUCT terms is tested with <>0 which will return TRUE if a value is not found. Then OR with return TRUE if one or more values are not found and FALSE if all are found. That result is wrapped in a NOT so that the function result is TRUE when all four values are found.
Hi everyone I have an excel question on how to rank but based first on a a ranking but then next on a second priority of a group. The formula is written in column 'Final_Rank' and I just hid a bunch of rows to show the clear example. Within the column Rank is just a normal rank function. I want the priority to be within Rank first, but then to add the next rank to the next item of the same group*. So if you look at Group HYP it will supersede ranked (3 and 4) and then 5 would be given to the next newest group.

You can do this with an extra helper column. Assuming your table currently occupies columns A-C, with one header row, put the following in C2:
=SMALL(IF($A$2:$A$6=A2,$B$2:$B$6,9999999999),1)+(B2*0.000000001)
You'll need to enter this as an array formula by using Ctrl+Shift+Enter↵. Copy it down throughout the whole column. This gives you the group's ranking, and it adds a tiny decimal indicating the individual values position within each group. (e.g. the 3rd "HYP" value is converted to something like 2.0000000199, because out of all the available values, the second lowest belongs to "HYP", and this specific "HYP" value is 199).
Next, enter the following in D2 and copy it down throughout the column:
=RANK(C2,$C$2:$C$6,1)
This will give you the "Final" rankings. There won't be any ties because of the tiny decimals we added in the previous formula. The results end up looking just like your sample.
