Error while create a new react-native project - android-studio

Trying to create a new app on react-native. 'react-native start' command gives no error. But I'm not able to see my app on the emulator. Can anyone help me in figuring out the problem. I'm new to react-native.

Are you using a Macbook or Windows? For Windows, you will have to use an Android emulator, thus you will need to download Android Studio, and the Android SDK.
For Mac, you will use the IOS emulator, you will need to download Expo in that case.
Also you could try using the create-react-native-app instead. I built a project with 3 other buddies in two weeks, we found that it had the most reliable boilerplate and is really good for beginning with react-native.
*** Edit:
*** Big caveat with create-react-native-app is that it won't matter what OS your computer has. If you have an apple phone, you just run "npm run ios" then scan the QR code with expo. If you have an Android phone like I had...you will run into a few issues where you need to set the phone to USB debugging mode in the developer's settings, download the USB debugging driver for your phone's model, ensure both your phone and computer are on the same wifi network, install expo, and finally be able to run "npm run android".
I was the only one on my team developing with an Android phone, so if you need advice on that, feel free to ask.
Some extra information about create-react-native-app is that it allows you to code for both Android and IOS phones by using the same project folder, rather than having to adjust settings for one platform at a time.
That has it's pros and cons for sure and there will be little differences in how one platform functions over the other...so my recommendation is to build for one platform at a time, focusing on whichever one you are testing on.
Since you're using Ubuntu

BlueScreen after Run emulator android studio

When im run android studio, or run emulator for android studio with manually or with cmd, always get bluescreen.
it say "your pc ran into problem and needs to restart. we're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you"
Stop code: IRQL Not Less or Equal
how can i fix it ?
im trying download another emulator and following tutorial on youtube, but it didn't work
It depends on various factor,
I happened to get this issue because of my old PC with Lesser RAM size(4GB) and to rectify it, I connected my Android phone to PC for debugging/running apps from Android Studio.
You need to enable USB Debugging in your phone for that purpose.
NOTE:
You can view this blog post I made, which addresses the same issue.
https://whysurfswim.com/2015/07/11/sick-of-your-avd-theres-a-alternate-for-it/
I had almost same problem. When I tried to install my app in emulator(Ram 8gb), my emulator crashes but kept running in background. As a result, I was unable to shut down my pc and have to disconnect power for shutting down.
use your phone for debugging your app. you can connect your phone using wifi. link here
Sometimes it happens beacause of outdated drivers, try updating your drivers to latest version, and update the windows 10 to latest version. Also try by deleteing your current emulator device and create new device by enabling software renderer. For lower end pcs like yours I would recommend to use real device instead of emulators ans use ssds for better performances.

Is there a how to guide for testing livecode?

I have been trying for days to get a simple app any app made in livecode to display either on my tablet, smartphone or emulator. It just doesn't work. Here is what I have done:
I have installed my sdk and pointed livecode to it in preferences.
Picked 2.3 as my version
Check my google usb drivers and they are up to date.
I followed live code's step by step and no success. I am thinking that since I am running windows 7 not a Mac, maybe this cant be done. It seems all the developers run Mac's?
I even tried to make a .apk, It made the file but " There was a problem parsing the package" once I got it on my Galaxy tab. I made sure that I checked the box to allow programs to run on my tablet. So I am still stuck.
To see if the SDK is working correctly you could try to use the Android SDK emulator first.
Open the Android SDK Manager and select the menu Tools->Manage AVDs.
There you can create a virtual Android device and run it.
If the virtual device is running you can see the virtual device under "Development->Test Target in Livecode. Select it and either select "Test" under "Development" or press the "Test" button. Does this work?
That error message means that the operating system on your device is preventing the app from being installed. The most likely reason for this is that you haven't changed the "Allow installation of apps from Unknown Sources" setting on your Galaxy Tab. There are other reasons and solutions for this error message - to see them visit Panagiotis's excellent blog post on the LiveCode website, your error message is in the fifth example

Sony Smartwatch Emulator: Getting started

I downloaded Sony's most recent SDK which includes an unusual Emulator that is an APK that runs on an Android phone (I guess that is what you do with it).
Anyway I see no documentation about how to use this to test/deploy apps.
Am I supposed to have 2 phones and one runs the emulator and the other runs the "host application" or do I run the host application on the same phone or what?
Nothing that I can find in docs explains this.
So I've figured this out (sort of). You run the emulator on your phone, then run the Smart Extension app on your phone as well (so no bluetooth connectivity like when you have a real smartwatch).
Phone also needs to have the SmartConnect (previously LiveWare) app and the SmartWatch app installed (I think). So that's three apps (emulator, SmartConnect, SmartWatch app).
Anyway, my actual smartwatch arrived in the mail shortly after I posted the original question, so I probably won't be using emulator much anymore.

how to run J2me emulator

When I run the program in j2me the emulator is not run and show that code what is mean? here the code.
C:\Documents and Settings\admintrator\My Documents\JavaMESDKProjects\MobileApplication4\nbproject\build-impl.xml:629: Execution failed with error code 1.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 2 minutes 1 second)
Seems that you do not have J2ME SDK installed on your computer.
Download it and install on your computer.
After that specify the location of installed J2ME SDK in your Netbeans project "Platform" settings.
Also make sure that Java/bin folder, where javac.exe located is specified in the system PATH environment variable.
I also experiencing this problem using sun wirless toolkit but my solution to this problem is somewhat irrational. When I'm going to run the application I disabling all my network adapter, LAN, WLAN even Bluetooth if you have but still I don't think that it will solve everything. You can try to do this if you wish but not suggesting the best way to do.

Do I need a physical phone to test run the build from android source or can do it in emulator?

I am now downloading the android source code in ubuntu 10.10.
Just wanted to be sure that, I can build the OS from the source and test run it in the emulator just like any other Android application I run in emulator?
Thanks for your help.
You should be able to, since the emulator counts as a connected device.
BUT chances are it probably wont work on very many phones, if any. Since all the phones are slightly different.
For instance a droid rom wont load properly on my nexus one and vice versa.
