Try to uninstall Android SDK and install it again from Visual Studio.
Uninstall SDK from - C:\Program Files
(x86)\Android\android-sdk\uninstall.exe
Go to control Panel -> Uninstall a program - select Visual Studio
(version) -> right click select -> Modify -> select SDK and install. It will take some time to complete installation.

Android Studio 3.2 RC3 keeps asking me to update the Google Play Instant Development SDK (from 1.3.0 to 1.4.0), but it always fails the update with this message:
Failed packages:
- Google Play Instant Development SDK (extras;google;instantapps)
How can I fix this?
Close Android Studio completely
File -> Close.
Delete instantapps Folder form your sdk:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\extras\google\instantapps
update again.

I was able to get this working by:
Closing my project (File -> Close Project)
Open SDK Manager from the gear at the bottom of the window
Click Updates on the left
I had to do this twice and it worked the second time.
If that won't work you can try File -> Invalidate Cache/restart -> Invalidate Restart. Android Studio will close and restart and then updates should install properly.
After delete, you reinstall here "Instant"
find the SDK folder instalation,
go to extra-google-instantaps, delete that
folder instantaps
and after that update again with sdk manager, that
old version is the problem
Solved this (in a similar way to previous, with one exception) by
1: Closing Android Studio File -> Close
2: deleting .installer and tools folders in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\extras\google\instantapps
3: Launching SDK Manager from Configure dropdown beside gear icon
Note: I tried deleting the entire instantapps folder but when I did this I did not get presented with the option to
install Instant Development SDK.
Close Android Studio
Go to the SDK installed folder
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
or maybe you installed in another drive
Then go to extras\google\instantapps and delete this instant apps folder.
Now open Android Studio
Tools -> SDK Manager -> SDK Tools -> Check the box before
"Google Play Instant Development
SDK"
Click Apply and ok
Enjoy your problem free life.
If your version of Android Studio is 3.2, you can go to C:\Users\xxx and delete the version folder other than <.AndroidStudio3.2>. I did this and it succeeded.
Just needs Administrator privilege to install. Try run Android studio as administrator.
Getting this error when I select a "publish target" in VS 2015 update 3. Had a look for a while online but didn't see anything, so any help would be appreciated if you could point me in the right direction.
An error has occurred while processing the request: Method 'StopRemoteProfiler' in type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.WindowsAzure.AzureWebSite' from assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.WindowsAzure.Impl, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' does not have implementation
I updated to the to Azure sdk 2.9.6 last night because of a different issue but related where there was no error, but no existing apps were listed.
I can confirm that this works on my work computer and I have existing apps on Azure, but not working on my home computer.
I am a bit loath to uninstall and reinstall VS, so any help would be appreciated. Of course, if the only solution is to reset, then so be it.
Thanks,
Jarrod
I faced the same problem. This is what worked for me.
I updated the "Microsoft .NET Core 1.0.1 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2" by going to Menu -> Tools -> Extensions and Updates -> Updates -> Visual Studio Gallery. It shows all the available updates for your version of studio. Select the component to update. It should download a file named "DotNetCore.1.0.1-VS2015Tools.Preview2.0.3.exe" or something similar. When you run this file, if you have the software already installed then select the repair option. It will ask you to close any running instances of Visual Studio, also make sure you have internet connection.
Also if you are using Web Deploy to publish your app make sure you have Microsoft Web Deploy v3 or higher installed or you will get error. You can do it using Microsoft Web Platform Installer.
Hope it helps.
I followed the link given below:
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/documentation/articles/app-service-mobile-cordova-get-started-push/#optional-configure-and-run-the-app-on-android
I also built the quick start azure project as said by your tutorial.
Now that I am trying to run the app on genymotion emulator (I have installed google play services in it) the build is giving me many errors
please click on the link of the image to see the errors
PS: The process is giving build errors so using genymotion is actually not a problem
Someone please help
The error indicates that you are missing a dependency from the Android SDK. Open up the Android SDK Manager and install google play services. If you installed the Android SDK as part of the Visual Studio install, you may need to run the SDK Manager as Administrator to do the install.
Yesterday while I was working on my Windows 8 App in Visual Studio I ran into an error in Visual Studio:
Error: Unable To Activate Windows Store App "ff82Aa95f-51e3-4869-a77a-7a9f52af3aea_aqtq9fhtdt8n6!APP" The WWAHOST.exe Process Started But The Acivation Proccess Failed with Error: "Access is Denied.
How can I resolve this?
To solve this, double-click manifest file and select Packaging tab you will find Package identity there.
By changing the package identity little bit your app will start to work fine.I have this problem too sometimes. Actual cause I don't know. But it works every time for me.
If original package identity is this "ff82Aa95f-51e3-4869-a77a-7a9f52af3aea_aqtq9fhtdt8n6" then change it to "ff82Aa95f-51e3-4869-a77a-7a9f52af3aea_aqtq9fhtdt8n7" here i have only change last digit 6 to 7.
I hope some one can help me it is bothering me this issue for 2 days for now. When I try to debug an app I allays receive the following message:
Unable to start debugger error code(0x80040154), It this problem persists may be a faulted instalation. Please go to control panel add remove programs and reapir instalation.
This happened after installing the VS 2012 Update 2.
So I uninstalled the update 2 but the issue remained.
I did a VS repair, the Issue remain.
I did re install of the VS (uninstall-> re install from scratch) + the update 1 but after this, the VS could not start simply (VS stopped responding...checking solution on line...closing the app).
So I do not do a complete format of the PC because I have a lot of stuff in it.
If any one can suggest a way to resolve the issue I will be very grateful.
UPDATE:
Uninstall the update 2 of the VS 2012 and then start the repair tool, then install the Update 1, start the VS in safe mode, uninstall the extensions, and re install the exensions...it works...but do not install the update 2
I have similar problem. I cannot start debugger after installation update 2 for Visual Studio 2012.
I cannot find any dependency on other things. This ocuring only on my PC, another comupers in my office are OK although they have same HW and SW (OS and other programs installed from same deployment image).
This error is firing because of an administrator rights issue.
Please right click the shortcut of Visual Studio 2012 and click "Run as Administrator".
If you want to permanently enable "Run as Administrator" option:
Right click shortcut and select properties
Click Advanced
Check "Always run as administrator" option and click OK to close dialog box.
go to registration and delete microsoftvisualstudio registration file
Removed the registry entries.
Note that I did not delete or clean up HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0 which contained the license key
best regards
