I'm trying to find a solution where a user can refresh a prompt without refreshing the whole page.
I have two prompts which cascade:
promptA > promptB
The desired behaviour is
user makes selection in promptA
user clicks a link or button to and the report refreshes with the choice(s) from promptA applied [this part is solved]
or
user clicks a button or link
report does not refresh
values for prompt B are displayed
user clicks link or button to refresh page with choices from promptA and promptB applied
Can anyone suggest anything? Or is this not possible? (I'm aware this is a bit against the grain of a more standard approach such as cascading prompts on an inital prompt page!)
Thanks

Right now I am working on a Xpage which displays data from a domino document. Based on the form of the document different fields will be displayed.
Now I want to create a "New" function. My idea here is to set the view I am previously using in edit mode.
Additionally, I want to add a radio button which enables a user to choose the form of the document he wants to create.
Based on this radio button the document form should change which should result in the elements displayed on the page changing too.
Overall if I switch between the radio button options and hit save, a new document will be created with the right form.
Yet my problem is that my elements in my view won't change dynamically. So if I switch my form there will still be elements/controls displayed for the default option but not the selected form.
My idea was to create an onChange-event for my Radio Button Group.
My questions here would be: How can I change my formValue for the Xpage (new document) and then reload it with the new set value?
Thanks for your explanation.
I understand you have one XPage suitable for multiple forms, I assume using a Switch control and custom controls per form. About the New button, you could try first to have 3 New buttons, each for a separate form, and you create a URL like yoursite.com/xpage.xsp?action=newdocument&form=someform
When the user clicks the button, your page can read the parameters (param.action and param.form) and act accordingly. Or do you intend to update the current page using partial refresh, as a single page approach?
I'm setting one Page that shows the Employees List in Card. While pressing on a specific Card, it navigate to another page that shows specific employee details. I added a back button in app bar to pop.
The Problem is when clicked first time, it shows the correct details. But when back button is pressed and another profile is clicked, the screen shows the same previous employee details.
What to know how to clear the Screen while pop in Flutter?
Well with no code or error logs ,its difficult to deduce the source of the error. However you could check into state management of you app, data source (is it fetching the right data from database, api etc), could you have hard coded the data.
In UIMAP.CS file in both the Recorded method and assertion method, I am not able to identify the button click.
Is there any way I can get hold of the button click event?
I am able to get hold the button in to a UITESTCONTROL variable but the options I was able to see are "exists", "enabled","name" etc...
I tried checking it with assertions too when I dragged the cross hair on to the clicked button , assertions are generated only for checking the existence, correctness of text and name but not the events occured on it..
Please help in this regard..
Please make sure that the Control/Object on which you want to use the Click operation is a button and not any Web Element or control which does not support the Click operation.
Once verified, you can do the following:
Record a New Session and while recording click on that button, stop your recording.
Open the UIMap.cs and navigate to that button control. The intellitrace would show you all the available options for that control.

In our JSF web application, we have an input field where the user can enter a numeric ID, which is then looked up by the app. To help the user, the lookup is bound to "onchange", thus it will be triggered as soon as the user tabs out of the field or clicks elsewhere.
So, user enters "123", presses tab (or clicks), lookup runs. This works fine; however, for usability reasons, we also want to provide a button that users can click on, for users who will otherwise wonder "where should I click to trigger a lookup?". To do this, we'd like to provide something that looks and feels like a HTML / JSF button, but does nothing (as the click will trigger the "onchange" event anyway).
Is there a way to make a JSF button that does nothing? I tried using h:commandButton without the "action" attribute, but it still fires a request.
p:commandButton type="button" will just provide a push button.
Since you tagged this question also as a usability issue, I would advise against a button in the first place if the onchange already triggers the lookup.
From a user's perspective it is confusing whether or not clicking the button is mandatory. After they have entered the field and skipped to the next, they see the lookup occur without clicking the button. If there is a button they will assume it's there for a reason.
The option that I favour in these cases is a onkeypress handler with a timeout of half a second, after which the value is looked up.
How to create a popup for edit button in JSF page in Oracle jDeveloper 12c?
There is nothing special about JDeveloper 12c when it comes to working with popups. You can see a sample here that automatically migrates to 12c:

Drag and drop popup onto the form from component palette. Design as needed. Make note of popup ID. D&D Operation (from component palette) > Show Popup Behavior onto button. Set popup id to id of previously created popup. Select method to launch, like action. Google is your friend here. Search "ADF Popup" - lots of hits, like this.
